Magnetic field was found to cause changes of soil physicc-chemical properties and soilenzyme activities. An appropriate applied magnetic field could cut down soil zeta-potential, soil specificsurface, soil water potential and soil swelling capacity; raise the charge density on soil colloids and theactivities of invertase, hydrogen peroxidase and amylase in the soils; enhance soil aggregation and improvesoil structural status and soil water-releasing capability.展开更多

The influences of the external magnetic flux density, damping of the matrix, content of iron particles, dynamic strain, and driving frequency on the damping properties of MR elastomers were investigated experimentally. The experimental results indicate that the damping properties of MR elastomers greatly depend on the interfacial slipping between the inner particles and the matrix. Different from general composite materials, the interracial slipping in MR elastomers is affected by the external applied magnetic field.展开更多

X-ray diffraction revealed that the films primarily consisted of MnSb alloy. Nanorods and nanoleaves were observed in the MnSb films by field-emission scanning electron microscopy. These nanorods had an average diameter of 20nm and a length of up to hundreds of nanometers. The nanoleaves had a width and thickness of about 100 and 20nm, respectively. Magnetic hysteresis loops were measured by an alternative gradient magnetometer, and the loops showed strong geometrical anisotropy.展开更多

By introducing aSu-Schrieffer-Heeger (SSH) type of perturbation interaction to the double-exchange Hamiltonian, wecalculate again its ground-state phase diagram at Glling x = 0.5 by the unrestricted real-spaceHartree-Fock approximation method. We find that, as the SSH electron-phonon interaction increases, the charge order parameter decreases to zero rapidly but the CE-type antiferromagnetic order becomesmore stable. In other words, the charge order is much more fragile than the CE-type or theNeel-type antiferromagnetic orders under the electron-phonon perturbation. These results support theproposed theory in the recent publications that the charge order in these systems is induced by theantiferromagnetic correlations.展开更多

Although the three well-known models have played important roles in describing the persistent photoconductivity, they are not the principal cause of persistent photoconductivity. In this paper a classical model originated from "selfmagnetism of electron gas" is proposed to illustrate the persistent photoconductivity phenomenon. This classical model is based on electron gas pulsation, which depends on the charge density. Different concentrations of current carriers create different frequencies in the system, and thus the system is sensitive to different wave lengths of incident light. Then the construction of different detectors can be possible for different wave lengths of incident light.展开更多

It is shown that the maximal GMR first increases and then decreases with increasing interfacial roughness, exhibiting a peak at an optimum value of interfacial roughness. An approximately linear dependence of GMR on is obtained, where is the angle between magnetizations of the two successive ferromagnetic layers. Furthermore, the maximal GMR is found to increase with increasing the number of bilayers.展开更多

It is shown that magnetization M(T) has a nonlinear character due to positive curvature of upper critical field Hc2(T) and temperature dependence of effective Ginzburg-Landau parameter Neff(T). The results are shown to be in qualitative agreement with experimental data for the superconducting magnesium diboride, MgB2.展开更多

These phenomena are primarily from the effective anisotropies introduced into a ferromagnet by exchange coupling with a strongly anisotropic antiferromagnet. These effective anisotropies can also be used to explain the dynamic consequences of exchange-biased bilayers. In this article, the dynamic consequences such as exchange-induced susceptibility, exchange-induced permeability, and the corresponding domain wall characteristics in the exchange-biased structures of ferromagnet/antiferromagnetl/antiferromagnet2 are studied. The results show that the second antiferromagnetic layer can largely affect the dynamic consequences of exchange-blazed bilayers. Especially in the case of critical temperature, the effects become more obvious. Practically, the exchange anisotropy of biased bilayer system can be tuned by exchange coupling with the second antiferromagnetic layer.展开更多

We discuss the dependence of the contributions on the global symmetry breaking scale f, mizing angles c` and , and the Higgs triplet vacuum expectation value v' in the electroweak precision data preferring ranges. We find that the LH model can give a relatively small, but non-negligible extra weak contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment and can reduce the deviation of △aμ from 2.6σ for the SM to 2.5σ for the LH model.展开更多
