研究并验证了阵元间距对均匀阵列宽角扫描性能的影响。首先分析并讨论了均匀线阵和面阵阵因子在宽角扫描区域内的变化规律,研究表明:对于均匀线阵,阵因子对宽角扫描体现"过有利"特性,此时选取宽波束有源单元方向图单元组阵,... 研究并验证了阵元间距对均匀阵列宽角扫描性能的影响。首先分析并讨论了均匀线阵和面阵阵因子在宽角扫描区域内的变化规律,研究表明:对于均匀线阵,阵因子对宽角扫描体现"过有利"特性,此时选取宽波束有源单元方向图单元组阵,便能完成宽角扫描;对于均匀面阵,阵因子对宽角扫描体现"欠有利"特性,此时,阵元间距的选取对面阵宽角扫描至关重要。据此,提出一款新型磁流元天线验证上述结论,该磁流元天线在xoz面具有138°的波束宽度,所组成的16元线阵和64元平面阵分别实现了75°和65°的扫描。文中的研究结果可为宽角扫描相控阵提供理论指导和设计便利。 展开更多

The damper is capable of providing a continuously variable dampering force/torque in response to a magnetic field. It consists of an upside cap and an underside cap with a rotor located between them, the magneto-rheological (MR) fluid is filled into the gaps between the rotor and the caps. When the viscosity of the MR fluid increases under the influence of the magnetic field, the movement of the rotor will be resisted. The output torque is made up of the torque caused by the magnetic field, the torque caused by the plastic viscosity of the MR fluid, and the torque caused by the coulomb friction. The viscous torque can be calculated by a simple method and the frictional torque can be obtained by experiments. The torque dependent on the magnetic field is obtained by electromagnetic finite dement analysis. Experiments are done on the damper prototype and the validity of the design is verified. 展开更多

The present exploration is conducted to describe the motion of viscous fluid embedded in squeezed channel under the applied magnetics effects.The processes of heat and mass transport incorporate the temperature-dependent binary chemical reaction with modified Arrhenius theory of activation energy function which is not yet disclosed for squeezing flow mechanism.The flow,heat and mass regime are exposed to be governed via dimensionless,highly non-linear,ordinary differential equations (ODEs) under no-slip walls boundary conditions.A well-tempered analytical convergent procedure is adopted for the solutions of boundary value problem.A detailed study is accounted through graphs in the form of flow velocity field,temperature and fluid concentration distributions for various emerging parameters of enormous interest.Skin-friction,Nusselt and Sherwood numbers have been acquired and disclosed through plots.The results indicate that fluid temperature follows an increasing trend with dominant dimensionless reaction rate σ and activation energy parameter E.However,an increment in σ and E parameters is found to decline in fluid concentration.The current study arises numerous engineering and industrial processes including polymer industry,compression and injection shaping,lubrication system,formation of paper sheets,thin fiber,molding of plastic sheets.In the area of chemical engineering,geothermal engineering,cooling of nuclear reacting,nuclear or chemical system,bimolecular reactions,biochemical process and electrically conducting polymeric flows can be controlled by utilizing magnetic fields.Motivated by such applications,the proposed study has been developed. 展开更多

Modeling and characterization of novel magnetorheological(MR) cell with individual currents

Magnetorheological(MR) cell with multi-coil was designed to enlarge the range of controllable transmission torque by increasing the effective length. Individual input current was proposed to maximize its potential for reducing power consumption and generating large yield stress. Finite element analysis was performed to analyze magnetic field distribution, based on which a prototype MR cell was fabricated and tested to investigate the performance of various combinations of individual input currents. A good correlation was identified between experimental results and FEA predications. The results show that the power consumption can be reduced to 42.4%, maintaining large transmission torque, by distributing the total current(2 A) to three individual magnetic coils. In addition, optimal results of four input currents considering a multi-objective function are obtained by changing the weighting factor λ. The advantage of this design, such as lower power consumption and more control flexibility, makes it more competitive in engineering applications that require large energy consumption. 展开更多

A novel magnetic-controlled switcher type fault current limiter (FCL) based on the topology of the saturated iron core high temperature superconducting FCL is proposed. The magnetic field distribution of the FCL iron core is analyzed by FEA software ANSYS. The current limiting characteristic is investigated by both 3-D field-circuit coupled simulation and Matlab. The experiments on the 220 V/50 A test model show that the FCL can limit the fault current swiftly and effectively,and the FCL has the advantages of simple and reliable structure, flexible control strategy. The simulation and experimental results prove that the theoretical expectation and current limiting performance is satisfactory for practical use. 展开更多
