PBS performance is usually measured by spectrophotometer after coating and cementing, but the measured result cannot represent the actual performance in practice because people usually change the incident angle in one plane (horizontal plane) and do not consider the other plane (vertical plane). Geometrical polarization rotation occurring at reduced F-number influences the measuring precision of s-polarization transmittance (Ts) and p-polarization reflectance (Rp). A more accurate and practical way to measure the performance of broadband, wide-angle PBS is presented in this paper.展开更多

It is a branch of linguistics concerned with the study of characteristic choices in use of language, made by different individuals or social groups in different situations of use. According to Martin (1991), grammatical metaphor is the process by which the meanings are multiply-coded at the level of grammar. Meaning variation represented by lexicogrammatical changes are metaphor, and meaning differences represented by sound system may also bring about metaphorical phenomenon. This paper seeks to explore the stylistic value of intonation metaphor in functional stylistics by analyzing the distribution of intonation metaphors in both public speeches and news reports.展开更多
Germany's energy system is in transition towards less nuclear, lower carbon emissions and more renewables. Notwithstanding widespread neglect of its European dimension, this Energiewende will further exacerbate curre...Germany's energy system is in transition towards less nuclear, lower carbon emissions and more renewables. Notwithstanding widespread neglect of its European dimension, this Energiewende will further exacerbate current network fluctuations due to the significant increase in wind and solar power. Key data from Denmark show that this transition will soon bring the German national power system to its limits for absorbing the resulting intermittency, and increase the need for more cross-border power transfers. Yet network analysis of import/export data shows that Germany's position in the European power system is contrary to the Danish case. The need for a European solution for Germany's energy transition will therefore soon become evident. In order to establish the necessary infrastructure, the Energiewende needs hence to be guided by an economic approach designed to prevent further fractures in the Internal Electricity Market. Constructive negotiations with neighbouring countries on market designs and price signals will be important preconditions. The article emphasizes the still neglected European paradox of Germany's energy transition and presents working examples and possible solutions to uphold electricity supply in Europe's power house.展开更多
This paper studies a class of forward-backward stochastic differential equations (FBSDE)in a general Markovian framework.The forward SDE represents a large class of strong Markov semimartingales,and the backward gener...This paper studies a class of forward-backward stochastic differential equations (FBSDE)in a general Markovian framework.The forward SDE represents a large class of strong Markov semimartingales,and the backward generator requires only mild regularity assumptions.The authors showthat the Four Step Scheme introduced by Ma,et al.(1994) is still effective in this case.Namely,the authors show that the adapted solution of the FBSDE exists and is unique over any prescribedtime duration;and the backward components can be determined explicitly by the forward componentvia the classical solution to a system of parabolic integro-partial differential equations.An importantconsequence the authors would like to draw from this fact is that,contrary to the general belief,in aMarkovian set-up the martingale representation theorem is no longer the reason for the well-posednessof the FBSDE,but rather a consequence of the existence of the solution of the decoupling integralpartialdifferential equation.Finally,the authors briefly discuss the possibility of reducing the regularityrequirements of the coefficients by using a scheme proposed by F.Delarue (2002) to the current case.展开更多

In this paper, an evaluating indicator system is established by analyzing the whole process of organizational learning; both qualitative and quantitative analyses are used, and a new combined evaluating method is presented. A measurement case involving twenty enterprises is given to prove the validity of this method. In conclusion, learning strategies are presented according to measurement result. This paper applies 4 models synthetically. The evaluating effect is superior to other methods.展开更多

The two results may appear as follows: one is that the model has a stable periodic trajectory from Hopf bifurcation, which shows the system is in an eco- logical balance; the other is that periodic trajectory from Hopf bifurcation is unstable, which indicates the system is in a sharp or catastrophic loss of stability. For the latter, a bifurcation controller is designed to make the periodic trajectory stable. Finally, some simulations are carried out to prove the results.展开更多
