Also, the paper through CUI's works tries to inquire the questions of how the ideal of socialism transforms after the fail of the revolution and how the disillusion connects the country's pursuit of the western modernization in music. Moreover, the paper asks how and by which CUI's songs associate themselves to the social transformation and in what way they root in the "socialistic personality" shaped by the socialist revolution since 1950s.展开更多

In the period of social transformation and change, all kinds of contradictions in New York City are becoming increasingly acute. The division of space reflects the power discourse of different classes, races, and genders. The connection, extension and expansion of space promote the features of urban modernity and open up new patterns of social behavior and opportunities for survival, but cannot fundamentally alleviate the capitalist crisis. Spatial layout and distribution of the city are not only the reflection of social relations, but also the "time capsule", bearing the history of the city, and the writing of space offers a mirror for the author's emotion and value judgment.展开更多

The MPL environment was conceived as a physical and conceptual space where students could learn and practice the principles and techniques of working in organizations in its three levels operational, tactical, and strategic. The foundations of the project come from social constructivist perspective on learning, from experiential learning literature and from researches that call for a new epistemological ground in management learning. In this paper, the authors will stress some challenges and frustrations with the project since these could be helpful to those interested in similar initiatives. Due to limited space, only two challenges will be stressed: (1) the construction of legitimacy for the project; and (2) the persistent dissonance between theory and practice. The authors conclude that there is room for innovation in the way management is taught and learned in universities since one shows courage to overcome the challenges and frustrations one will certainly deal with展开更多

That was the time when Berlin Wall fell down with scattering the Eastern block and many politically independent states came into being, at the same time, ongoing about 70 years socialist system also started to change into liberal system. The constituted 27 states in 1991 were tended to liberal economic system instead of socialist economy, and these states were called as transition economies. In this study, the relationship between indebtedness and growth rate of transition countries were analyzed by panel autoregressive distributed lag model (ARDL). Before panel ARDL application, stationary properties of the variables have been checked with first and second generation unit root test. For the second generation unit root tests, CADF tests have been used. Also cross section dependency has been examined by LM tests.展开更多

With the further improvement of the socialist market economy, the existing sports administrative functions are incompatible with the economic and social side of the market gradually. The current sports administrative functions can no longer adapt to the development and deeper reforms of sports system are imminent. Only by speeding up the reform of sports administration, can eliminate obstacles and promote rapid and healthy development of China's sports industry. In this paper, the object is the administrative functions of the sport in the social transformation period, through expert interviews, literature, and logical analysis, comparative study to discuss the problems of the administrative functions of sport in the social transformation period and propose appropriate countermeasures. Studies suggest that: sports administration departments should focus to implementing national policies, the development of the sports industry policy research and development planning, management and delivery of services. In accordance with the uniform principles of responsibility, rights and interests, to further clarify the responsibilities of all levels of sports administration, handling good working relationship between them. By Complete separation between rowing and steering, governance and administration, government and industry, to achieve "four transformations", and to break plan "all-round" type of government in the economic system, and establish "limited" government, effectively carry out the functions of guidance, policy regulation, market supervision, social management and public services.展开更多

This would shift the terrain of social critique and emancipatory social struggles. The paper introduces the debate on "social-ecological transformation" which emerged as a radical part of a more comprehensive debate on "great" or "societal transformation" and high- lights its core issues: the issue of a necessary attractive mode of production and living for all, the role of pioneers of change and changing political and economic institutions, the acknowledgment of shifting social practices, the requirement for alternative imaginaries or "stories" of a good life as part of a contested process which is called "futuring." As an example for alternative imaginaries, the current debate on "degrowth" is outlined and evaluated. The second part of the paper focuses more concretely on issues around the formation and existence of a global green-left. After mentioning a crucial problem for any global alternative--i.e., the structural feature of economic and geopolitical competition which historically divided the global Left and pulled it into compromises at national or regional scales--four requirements or characteristics of a global green-left are highlighted: to weaken and change capitalistically driven competition and competitiveness, to push a social-ecological transformation in democratic ways and not at the back ofordinary people (like conservative and liberal proposals for transformation tend to do), to link more systematically green issues with labor issues and, finally, to transform the overall dispositive of political action from a "distributive" to a "transformative Left." One dimension of such an enhancement, it is concluded, is a broader understanding of the "economy" itself by acknowledging the demands and achievements of a "care revolution" which will be crucial for an alternative mode of production and living.展开更多

By tracing China's reform experience and comparing it with the mainstream reform strategies, the paper argues that, first, Chin's reform strategy is fundamentally different from the conventional reform strategies; second, China's success to a large extent is the result of Chinese leaders' decision making and careful management over reform process rather than of simply market force. Finally, the paper suggests that the active role the Chinese Communist Party plays in economic reform grants its legitimacy, thus enabling it to enjoy political stability under long term rapid economic and social transition.展开更多
