为母则刚?从生物性母职到社会性母职的建构过程探究

在低生育水平的宏观背景下,我国现有的鼓励生育政策效果十分有限,其原因之一在于女性的生育意愿并没有得到充分释放。因此,探讨当今女性的母职体验及其认知有着明显的应用价值。基于哺乳是女性正式承担和认同母职的一个重要标志这一判断... 在低生育水平的宏观背景下,我国现有的鼓励生育政策效果十分有限,其原因之一在于女性的生育意愿并没有得到充分释放。因此,探讨当今女性的母职体验及其认知有着明显的应用价值。基于哺乳是女性正式承担和认同母职的一个重要标志这一判断,以女性的哺乳实践为切入点,采用深度访谈的质性研究方法,对C市中产双薪家庭新任妈妈的一孩哺乳和母职习得的考察发现,新任妈妈在哺乳时普遍遭遇了身体的不适与身份的焦虑。尽管相信母职天生,但她们并没有因此牺牲自己的主体性,而是通过弱化生物性母职来追求孩子与自身主体性相统一的新型母职。“为母则刚”不再要求母亲一味地为了孩子吃苦受累,而意味着母亲愿意为了自己和孩子的未来而不断奋斗,努力使自身变得更强大。新型母职的实现离不开相应的社会支持,因此,下一步应促进性别平等的就业,并提供全方位的家庭支持,以消除新型母职所面临的结构性障碍。 展开更多

清朝在湖北推行了保甲制度,这一制度经过不断实践,深入到湖北的地方社会。分析清乾隆、嘉庆朝刑科题本呈现的湖北地方社会职役,基本上属于保甲系统,尤以保正报案为多,说明湖北的地方社会职役具有保甲化与统一化的特色。乾嘉时期刑科题... 清朝在湖北推行了保甲制度,这一制度经过不断实践,深入到湖北的地方社会。分析清乾隆、嘉庆朝刑科题本呈现的湖北地方社会职役,基本上属于保甲系统,尤以保正报案为多,说明湖北的地方社会职役具有保甲化与统一化的特色。乾嘉时期刑科题本中湖北一直有一定数量的"乡保",相关碑刻资料更进一步证明了乡约的存在,可知乡约系统不仅发挥着作用,且与保甲系统相融合。两种系统共同构成了乾嘉时期湖北地方社会承担本地事务管理的基本职役。尽管雍正时期湖北推行过顺庄法,但是并没有发现刑科题本中湖北带有征收赋税职役的名称以及与保甲名称的混合,如"地保",这与其他省明显不同。湖北地方社会职役没有"地保化",或是由于保甲制度的普及以及作用较为突出所致。 展开更多

Objectives To develop a more specific understanding of psychological mechanisms in the development of burnout in long-term care as a basis for potential new intervention strategies aiming at improving nurses’mental health.Methods Two qualitative studies with thematic analysis were conducted.In Study 1,we conducted eight group interviews with 110 nurses from May–July 2019 in the context of workshops at eight nursing homes in Germany.In Study 2,we supplemented these with semi-structured interviews with 14 executives at German nursing homes in December 2019.Results The thematic analysis in Study 1 identified three main themes:causes of challenges,employees’opportunities for change,and organisational opportunities for change.Thematic analysis in Study 2 identified three main themes:job motives,reasons for filling in for others,and employee self-care.Further,our results show that the need to stand in for colleagues,in particular,is one of the greatest challenges for geriatric caregivers.In dealing with these challenges we found that self-endangering behaviour—a diminished ability to say no when asked to fill in or to do work overtime—was an important antecedent of nurses’burnout.Further,high levels of altruistic motivation and identification with the team or organisation were associated with self-endangering behaviour in the presence of adverse working conditions.Low levels of self-worth are a further risk factor for self-endangering.Conclusions Our findings are at odds with some core tenets of classic models of job demands and burnout that construe motivation and identification as resources.Our results show the need of a holistic intervention program in nursing including individual coaching,team-based interventions and organisational development processes.Employees themselves should be sensitized to this issue and supported in the long term,and politicians should create structures that do not encourage this behaviour any further. 展开更多

Immigration, whether formally organised, or through refugee arrivals, remains a major source of population and workforce growth for Australia, This article undertakes a sociological analysis of the experiences of some young Muslim jobseekers in Australia. Some are recent migrants. Some are refugees. Others are second generation migrant Muslim youth. The Australian Government has identified Muslim youth as needing some special assistance to obtain paid employment. The study reported here investigated some of the obstacles faced by 18 young Muslim jobseekers in Western Sydney in 2009. Interviews were conducted with young Muslims of both sexes who were actively looking for work. It is concluded that the apparent "religious" ostracism of young Muslim jobseekers results in a highly counter-productive form of "cultural unemployment" that impedes the logic of the flow of migration. 展开更多

According to several researches and survey findings, violence and the threat of violence are increasingly present at workplaces in the field of healthcare. In 2011, the Finnish Union of Health and Social Care Professionals--Tehy implemented a poster campaign targeted at the users of healthcare services, as well as healthcare staff. Representatives of local trade unions, as well as safety representatives, reported that the campaign was relevant. Most employers had a favorable attitude toward distributing campaign posters at the workplace. Raising this issue, which increases the mental burden of work and risks occupational safety at the workplace, helps to achieve improvements. Following the poster campaign, Tehy conducted an electronic survey in early 2012 about the impacts of the campaign among representatives of local trade unions (N= 279) and safety representatives (N = 278). The campaign resulted in some working environment improvements, as well as an increase in reporting situations involving violence. On a more worrying note, the provision of workplace-level training on managing violent situations did not increase. 展开更多

In today's world, entrepreneurship is seen as the vital source for economic growth, and education in the creation and development of entrepreneurial attitudes. It is, therefore, natural to consider female students as the primary resource of future entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship as a career option is becoming increasingly desirable. Responding to this need, many colleges and universities around the world have significantly increased their offerings of entrepreneurship courses over the past 25 years. Entrepreneurship courses are not only offered by Business Institutes, but other faculties like Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Engineering, and Information Technology are also offering these courses in their syllabus. The problem under focus was to examine entrepreneurial mindset among female university students, a study of University of Jos. The study also ascertained the rate at which variables like: perception of entrepreneurship, role model and university's role to promote entrepreneurship are translated into entrepreneurial mindset of female students of University of Jos. A sample size of about 400 was adopted from the three Faculties of Management Science, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences which were selected at random. Furthermore, the data obtained were analyzed using simple percentage and presented in tables and charts, the hypothesis which states that there is no significant relationship between the teaching of entrepreneurship and university female students' entrepreneurial mindset which was tested using z-test analyses of population proportion earlier conducted. This implies a weak relationship between the teaching of entrepreneurship and university female students' entrepreneurial mindset. Based on the above inference, the research recommended that, as providers of entrepreneurship trainings, universities must create entrepreneurship supportive environment that could encourage entrepreneurial activity which would in turn help develop an enterprise culture among the female students. 展开更多
