Education is seen as a tool to develop better citizens first, and better workers later. The objective of this research was to detect different perceptions related to values and education. Using a 13 items questionnaire, we measured: Students' perceptions about him/herself as part of their education role, responsibility that students show toward activities m school, perceptions about education as a tool to grow in the social ladder and as a way of social recognition, social perception about effort as an important value to self-improve and get social recognition, and to finish, perceptions about their teacher's performance.展开更多
Organizations, no matter their kinds, are established to serve specific societal needs. The success of an organization depends on its ability to direct the energies of its members in effectively serving these needs. T...Organizations, no matter their kinds, are established to serve specific societal needs. The success of an organization depends on its ability to direct the energies of its members in effectively serving these needs. The primary motive for the existence of any organization is often expressed in its mission. It is heartwarming that most Nigerian organizations (profit and non-profit alike) have mission statements conspicuously displayed in their front offices However, the efficacies of these mission statements in securing the needed employees support and commitment have not being fully investigated within the Nigerian context. The authors used structured questionnaires to elicit required responses from respondents' employees of various Nigerian organizations. It was affirmed that the statements of properly formulated and communicated missions are potent tools in the hands of management in unleashing employees' commitment and improving organizational performance. It was recommended that Nigeria organizations should move beyond the use of mission statements as mere "slogans" and open up employees' "eyes to see how their daily tasks and roles as enshrined in the vision and mission can move the organization towards the attainment of its objectives展开更多

The sector has contributed to the regional income in the regency. Coastal communities in the area can certainly get the impact which is marked by the increasing prosperity of society. This study used a survey by sampling using questionnaire. The number of samples in this study were 100 respondents who live in the Serakaman village and the Ujung village of Sebuku sub-district, Kotabaru. Companies in the Serakaman village and the Ujung village are Sebuku Iron Lateritic Ores (SILO), Bahari Cakrawala Sebuku (BCS) and Metalindo Bumi Raya (MBR). Analysis stages of welfare based on the level of welfare standards from National Population and Family Planning Board of Indonesia. The results showed the level of welfare in the Sarakaman village and the Ujung village is the welfare stage I and the welfare stage. Although at this welfare stage I and welfare families, the level of education, access to banks and income is still low. The company through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program is expected to improve the welfare of the community around the company area.展开更多

Under more than 20 years of development which begins to bud in the beginning of the nineteen nineties, the assets valuation industry has become the indispensable Intermediary trade of the socialist market economy system in China. With the scale of assets valuation agency enlarging and its rapidly growing business in recent years, however, some problems have been exposed gradually, which harm the social image of the industry of asset valuation seriously. So the social public and the relevant administrative departments pay close attention on the quality of the asset valuation. To know about what are the essential causes that affect the assets valuation industry managers' decision, this paper, through using some means which include literature research, interview and questionnaire investigation and utilizing the method of the factor analysis, relegates 24 questions which come from some answers of the respondents to three factors which are the practicing quality factor, the sting factor of an organization and the internal management factor of valuation organization. Furthermore, it will analyze the features of these factors which are divided into two factors that are internal motivation and external motivation, looking for the key cause of the assets valuation industry quality problem of China which purposes in order to promote the healthy development of valuation profession and much better standard the internal quality of valuation industry of China.展开更多
