Study on mt-DNA （mitochondrial DNA） variation in the yellowfin tuna （Thunnus albacares） using RFLP （restriction fragment length polymorphisms） has provided the evidence of maternal inheritance of yellowfin tuna in captivity. Eggs were collected in every spawning in 2004-2006 season. The mt-DNA genotypes of broodstock were compared with their eggs and the maternal inheritance of these females was determined from genotypes in the eggs. The result showed that six genotypes of female broodstock were observed in eggs and four of them were found to share a single female＇s identity and one type was shared by two females. The same genotype was observed in almost every sampling throughout the year. The female broodstocks spawned almost daily throughout the season.展开更多

Traditionally, the sling referred to a suspensory that was placed under the urethra and brought through the retropubic space and anchored on either side of the midline. Since this original concept, there have been many materials used for the sling, and there have been many different anchoring approaches. Most agree that one of the best materials is polypropylene mesh. However, the means of anchoring the device and where best to have this anchorage placed is debatable. The options for anchoring simply include using darts vs not to hold the sling in place. The location of this anchorage, on the other hand, is much more controversial. The main locations are retropubic, transobturator, and via a single incision. The obturator and retropubic slings have become the standard of care over time. The single incision sling, on the other hand, is starting to be more acceptable which has resulted in it being used more frequently. The single incision relies on mainly anchoring the sling through the obturator internus muscle with possible inclusion of the obturator membrane. The purpose of this review article is to present the data that exists for the use of the single incision sling.展开更多
Video capsule endoscopy(VCE) has been applied in the last 15 years in an increasing field of applications. Although many contraindications have been put into perspective, some precautions still have to be considered. ...Video capsule endoscopy(VCE) has been applied in the last 15 years in an increasing field of applications. Although many contraindications have been put into perspective, some precautions still have to be considered. Known stenosis of the gastrointestinal tract is a clear contraindication for VCE unless surgery is already scheduled or at least has been considered as an optional treatment modality. In patients with a higher incidence of stenosis, as in an established diagnosis of Crohn's disease, clinical signs of obstruction, prior radiation or surgical small bowel resection, a preceding test with the self-dissolving patency capsule can override this contraindication. Endoscopic placement of the capsule should be considered in patients with swallowing disorders to avoid aspiration. Esophageal or gastric motility disorders may require endoscopic capsule transport or application of prokinetics if the real-time viewer proofs delayed transit. In pregnant women, VCE should be restricted to urgent cases where diagnosis cannot be postponed after delivery, as data on safety are missing. There is theoretical and clinical evidence that patients with implanted cardiac devices such as a pacemaker, cardioverters or left heart assist devices, can safely undergo VCE in spite of still existing contraindication by manufacturers. Children from the age of 2 years have safely undergone VCE. Although video capsules are not proven safe with magnetic resonance imaging(MRI), first single cases of patients incidentally undergoing MRI with an incorporated capsule have been reported, showing susceptibility artifacts but no signs of clinical harm.展开更多

The system load-balancing index is use...This paper presents an efficient algorithm for optimization of radial distribution systems by a network reconfiguration to balance feeder loads and eliminate overload conditions. The system load-balancing index is used to determine the loading conditions of the system and maximum system loading capacity. The index value has to be minimum in the optimal network reconfiguration of load balancing. The tabu search algorithm is employed to search for the optimal network reconfiguration. The basic idea behind the search is a move from a current solution to its neighborhood by effectively utilizing a memory to provide an efficient search for optimality. It presents low computational effort and is able to find good quality configurations. Simulation results for a radial 69-bus system. The study results show that the optimal on/off patterns of the switches can be identified to give the best network reconfiguration involving balancing of feeder loads while respecting all the constraints.展开更多

The airside heat transfer and friction characteristics of seven interrupted fin-and-tube heat exchangers with hydrophilic coating under dehumidifying conditions are experimented.The effects of number of tube rows,fin ...The airside heat transfer and friction characteristics of seven interrupted fin-and-tube heat exchangers with hydrophilic coating under dehumidifying conditions are experimented.The effects of number of tube rows,fin pitch and inlet relative humidity on airside performance are analyzed.The test results show that the influence of fin pitch on the friction characteristic under dehumidifying conditions is similar to that under dry surface,and the friction factors decrease slightly with the increase of number of tube rows.The heat transfer performance decreases as fin pitch and number of tube rows increases.The heat transfer performance and the friction characteristic are independent of inlet relative humidity.Based on the test results,heat transfer and friction correlations in terms of the Colburn j factor and Fanning f factor,are proposed to describe the airside performance of the interrupted fin geometry with hydrophilic coating under dehumidifying conditions.The correlation of the Colburn j factor gives a mean deviation of 9.7%,while the correlation of the Fanning f factor shows a mean deviation of 7.3%.展开更多
