This work looks back on the life of her mother from the perspective of the daughter and reshapes the image of the mother through fragmented memories. Qiu yuan, written by a domestic amateur writer Yang Benfen, was published in 2020. It showcases how an ordinary woman survives in a turbulent era. Despite the cultural, educational, and life experiences differences between the two authors, they both address similar themes in their works, including memories of mothers, reflections on the survival status of women, and the pursuit of collective memory in the context of the era. Comparative thematology is a method of studying works with the same themes under different time, ethnic, and linguistic backgrounds. This method can be used to explore the comparability of the two works, through analysis of character images and themes, to uncover the literary value and social significance behind them.展开更多
