The new species is allied to Systolederusfujianensis Zheng and S. longinota Zheng, but differs in: 1)length of pronotum 3.7-4.1 ( ♂), 5.5-6.6 (♀) times as long as the portion surpassing apex of hind femur; 2) width of middle femur equal to width of tegmina in female; 3) length of third segment of posterior tarsi largerthan the first. The types are deposited in the Biological Museum, Sun Yat-sen University. This is the thirtieth known species of Systolederus in the world. A catalogue of all currently recognized species in the genus Systolederus is given.展开更多
Complete checklist records are essential to understand regional bird diversity.We update the checklist of the bird species of Jiangxi,China based on numerous reported documents.The updated checklist of the bird specie...Complete checklist records are essential to understand regional bird diversity.We update the checklist of the bird species of Jiangxi,China based on numerous reported documents.The updated checklist of the bird species of Jiangxi shows that there are 536 bird species in Jiangxi,which belong to 21 orders,74 families,246 genera.And 48.7% of them are Passeriformes species and 12.3% are Charadriiformes species.Fifty species are classified as threatened.Fourteen of these species are grade I nationally protected wild animals,and 72 species are grade II nationally protected wild animals.In addition,fauna analyses indicate that the Palearctic realm(47.7%) is dominant.As for distribution type,the Oriental type is dominant.Considering the fauna of resident birds,the Oriental realm is dominant.Additionally,the distribution of several species was revised in the checklist.展开更多

The known species and host plants of this genus are reviewed. A worldwide list of species is provided, Aneugmenus is separated into 6 species groups. Aneugmenus nigrofemoratus sp. nov. is described from China A key to the world species excluding Neotropical in this genus is provided. The generic position of some species related to Aneugmenus is briefly discussed. Two new combinations and a new synonym are proposed: Linorbita ungulica (Wei, 1997), n. comb = Aneugmenus mandibularis Wei, 1997, syn. nov. , and Paraneugmenus frontalis (Wei, 1997), n. comb all transferred from Aneugmenus.展开更多
