桂引5号是广西甘蔗研究所于1998年12月从巴西引进,经过5年严格系统试验选育而成的新品种。该品种在广西3年区域试验结果表明,平均公顷产蔗量:新植为114.43t,宿根为105.40t,新植宿根平均为109.92t,比对照桂糖11号分别增产21.4%、36.7%、2... 桂引5号是广西甘蔗研究所于1998年12月从巴西引进,经过5年严格系统试验选育而成的新品种。该品种在广西3年区域试验结果表明,平均公顷产蔗量:新植为114.43t,宿根为105.40t,新植宿根平均为109.92t,比对照桂糖11号分别增产21.4%、36.7%、28.3%。新植平均、宿根平均、新植与宿根平均蔗糖分分别为14.76%、15.35%、15.06%,比桂糖11号的分别提高0.43、0.84、0.63个百分点。公顷含糖量:新植平均、宿根平均、新植与宿根平均依次为16.89t、16.18t、16.55t,比桂糖11号的分别增产25.0%、44.6%、33.9%。3年15个点次氮肥控制试验、固氮细菌分离试验及固氮酶活性试验结果均证明该品种具有生物固氮性能。在生产上使用该品种,可比常规品种施氮节省氮肥50%以上。 展开更多

[Objective] This study aimed to preliminarily select the plants with colored foliage adaptable to Zhengzhou area. [Method] An introduction trial on 42 varieties with colored foliage was conducted, in which major ornamental characteristics, phenological phases and stress resistance of all the introduced plants with colored foliage were observed and the introduced plants were comprehensively evaluated. [Result] Golden-and Compound-leaved Maple, Red-leaved Sakura, Pink-and Compound-leaved Maple, Amur Maple, Purple-leaved Canadian Redbud with good performance were selected preliminarily, which can be applied for landscape in Zhengzhou area. Among them, Golden- and Compound-leaved Maple, Golden- and Silvery-leaved Maple and Purple-leaved Smoketree can either be planted separately, or in a line as boulevard trees, or in groups as ornamental forest; Red-leaved Sakura, Pink- and Compound-leaved Maple and Purple-leaved Canadian Redbud can be planted in groups or separately in gardens, parks or alongside streets or in front of buildings; Amur Maple with high adaptability is a excellent tree species for afforesting barren mountain. [Conclusion] This study has not only provided new excellent germplasm sources for the landscaping in Zhengzhou area, thus favoring the improvement of local landscaping level, but also provides examples and references for the introduction of plants with colored foliage in the other areas. 展开更多

[Method] The data of sugarcane regional trials in Guangdong, in 2009 was analyzed by three models respectively: Finlay and Wilkinson model: the additive main effects and multiplicative interaction (AMMI) model and linear regression-principal components analysis (LR- PCA) model, so as to compare the models. [Result] The Finlay and Wilkinson model was easier, but the analysis of the other two models was more comprehensive, and there was a bit difference between the additive main effects and multiplicative inter- action (AMMI) model and linear regression-principal components analysis (LR-PCA) model. [Conclusion] In practice, while the proper statistical method was usually con- sidered according to the different data, it should be also considered that the same data should be analyzed with different statistical methods in order to get a more reasonable result by comparison. 展开更多

Field test of new poplar clone in Shangdong Province

Poplar is one of the dominant tree species for the establishment of fast growing plantations in Shandong Province. Poplar is one of the dominant tree species for the establishment of fast growing plantations in Shandong Province. Eighteen poplar clones belonging to Populus aigeiros section were introduced from Italy, Turkey and domestic regions. Populus deltoides cv. 慙ux?I-69/55 (I-69), which was widely used in Shandong Province, China, was taken as control clone (I-69). Following a randomized complete block design, seedling test and controlled afforestation trials were carried out at Juxian County, Caoxian County and Laiyang City. The results showed that the poplar clone (Populus ?euramericana cv. ?02/74?, namely 102/74, performed well both in terms of adaptability and growth rate. The mean height of 13.9 m (H), diameter at breast height of 18.0 cm (DBH) and volume growth of 0.1445 m3 (V) were 2.2 %, 21.6% and 52.9 % higher than those of I-69 (CK), respectively, at the age of 5 years at three experimental sites. Moreover, the clone can be propagated easily and showed high resistance to poplar disease, pest as well as salinity and had longer growing period. Furthermore, wood basic density and fiber length of new poplar clone (102/74) were as same as I-69 (CK). It was concluded that the selected clone (102/74) was ideal for the estab-lishment of fast-growing poplar plantations, especially for the pulpwood plantations in Shandong Province. 展开更多

Their seed traits such as seed length, seed width, thickness of seed and 1 000-grain weight were comparatively analyzed. [ Result] The average seed length, average seed width, average seed thickness and average 1 000-grain weight of white flower Platycodon grandiflorum were all smaller than these of purple flower Platycodon grandiflorum. The seed length of Korean white flower Platycodon grandiflorum was relatively longer and seed lengths of other white flower Platycodon grandiflorum were all shorter than these of purple flower Platycodon grandiflorum. The seed widths of white flower Platycodon grandiflorum were smaller than these of purple flower P/atycodon grandiflorum, except these of Korean white flower Platycodon grandiflorum, Heilongjiang Ning'an and South Korean Jiangyuan. The 1 000-grain weights of white flower Platycodon grandiflorum were all smaller than these of purple flower Platycodon grandiflorum, except these of Korean Rajin and Sancheng white flower Platycodon grandiflorum. That low viability is caused by the abnormality of seed's structure. Normal shallot seeds have seed structure that consists of: testa, endosperm, and embryo. Normal embryo has curved shape which it has one cotyledon in endosperm. This research purpose is to find shallot viability and structure that is cultivated in tropic area, especially in Indonesia. This research is a deep observation research about water level, seeds viability and seeds structure monitoring by using microscope. To make a clearance about seeds structure composition, seeds are mixed with tetrazolium salt. Monitoring result shows that seed water level at harvest time is 18%, laid away at one month age is 13%, two months age is 12% and three months age is 10%. Seed viability at harvest until twenty nine days, seed that is germinated around 8%. At two months viability seed laid age until twenty two days is 36.6%. Meanwhile three months age laid viability test is done with germination boost compounding shows that IAA is able to fasten germination. At IAA treatment viability seeds are 17.25% that is followed with GA3 treatment around 13%. Another boosting substance that it's viability is only below 4%. Low viability is also proved by the seed structure. The result shows that mostly, the seeds has abnormal structure. 展开更多

Sugarcane advanced variety trials are planted across several locations and harvested for several crop-years to determine genotype by environment interaction and yield stability. Previous studies describe methods for simultaneous screening for yield and stability but did not use parametric statistical tests for comparing genotypes. The objective of this study was to describe a parametric statistical method for simultaneous screening of sugarcane genotypes for yield and stability. Data from 26 crops were collected from trials established at five locations and harvested in the plant, first, second, third and fourth ratoon crops. The mixed procedure of SAS was used for data analysis. The intercept and slope were used to represent yield and stability, respectively. There were significant (P 〈 0.05) differences in yield and stability among the genotypes. Test genotypes were classified into groups of genotypes that produced high yield, or high stability or both. The method provides fast statistical tests for simultaneous screening for yield and stability. The method was also used to compare two genotypes, an application for variety choice at time of release. 展开更多

Radionuclides with long half-life are toxic,and thereby result in serious threat to human beings and ecological balance.Herein,a simple two-step synthesis method was used to prepare manganese dioxide@polypyrrole(Mn O2@PPy)core/shell structures for efficient removal of U(Ⅵ)and Eu(Ⅲ)from aqueous solutions.The adsorption of U(Ⅵ)and Eu(Ⅲ)were investigated under different kinds of experimental conditions.The experimental results suggested that the adsorption of U(Ⅵ)and Eu(Ⅲ)on Mn O2@PPy were greatly affected by p H.U(Ⅵ)adsorption on Mn O2@PPy was independent of ionic strength at p H6.0.However,Eu(Ⅲ)adsorption on Mn O2@PPy was independent of ionic strength at the whole p H range of experimental conditions.The maximum adsorption capacities(q(max))of U(Ⅵ)and Eu(Ⅲ)were 63.04 and54.74 mg g(-1)at T=298 K,respectively.The BET,XRD,FTIR and XPS analysis evidenced that high adsorption capacities of U(Ⅵ)and Eu(Ⅲ)on Mn O2@PPy were mainly due to high surface area and rich metal oxygen-containing group(i.e.,Mn–OH and Mn–O),and the interaction was mainly attributed to strong surface complexation and electrostatic interaction.This study highlighted the excellent adsorption performance of U(Ⅵ)and Eu(Ⅲ)on Mn O2@PPy and could provide the reference for the elimination of radionuclides in real wastewater management. 展开更多
