CRESS: A Platform of Infrastructure Resource Sharing for Educational Cloud Computing

Cloud computing is very attractive for schools, research institutions and enterpri- ses which need reducing IT costs, improving computing platform sharing and meeting lice- nse constraints. Sharing, management and on- demand allocation of network resources are particularly important in Cloud computing. Ho- wever, nearly all-current available cloud com- puting platforms are either proprietary or their software infrastructure is invisible to the rese- arch community except for a few open-source platforms. For universities and research insti- tutes, more open and testable experimental plat- forms are needed in a lab-level with PCs. In this paper, a platform of infrastructure resou- rce sharing system （Platform as a Service （PaaS）） is developed in virtual Cloud comput- hug environment. Its architecture, core modules, main functions, design and operational envir- onment and applications are introduced in de- tail. It has good expandability and can impr- ove resource sharing and utilization and is app- lied to regular computer science teaching and research process.

Cultural Presence of the Cretan Biodiversity in the Minoan Period and nowadays： A Discovery School Teaching Approach

The educational project prepared for students of High School 15-17 years old with the subject of Biodiversity in Minoan Period and Nowadays. It was an interdisciplinary approach of ecological and cultural views of biodiversity. Special educational material was prepared with photos and texts of archaeological excavations and field sampling which was used in real and virtual environment, in t~ discovery teaching of Natural Sciences and History subjects. Students, in a scientific research project with constructive teachings, followed the procedures by which scientists gather, analyze, synthesize, process and evaluate information of organisms of Crete since 4000 years. Crete is located between the natural limits of three continents, having the unique privilege to host permanently or in migration, distinctive species of these three continents. After having the research questions, teachers collected the educational material, organized the work groups, implemented the didactic intervention in the classroom, had the field sampling of plants, recognized the synchronous local and scientific names of the plants, constructed the botany book, photographed the collected organisms and all the concentrated material was delivered to the team members.

University teaching and research equipment maintenance costs, rising with the rapid development of the school. Equipment as a teaching resource, should give full play to its role in the efficiency at the same time, from quality improve equipment management, reduce material consumption, two aspects of efforts to reduce maintenance costs, reduce maintenance expenses. This article by the necessity of self- maintenance, feasibility analysis and establish a competitive mechanism, and that this is a feasible way out equipment maintenance work of vocational collejzes need to adaot to the situation.

Research for Using Information Technology in the Design of Effective Mathematics Teaching Methods

The development of modem information technology has brought unprecedented impact on mathematics teaching, which affects the content of the curriculum, and teaching and its manifestations, affecting the role of teachers in the teaching process and its relationship with the students, teaching methods and impacting policies the selection and use, affecting organizational form of teaching. Mathematics curriculum standards clearly stated： the design and implementation of the mathematics curriculum should pay attention to the use of modern information technology, particularly to fully consider the impact on mathematics learning content and methods, and to provide students with a more vigorous development of rich learning resources, the modem information technology as a powerful tool for students to learn math and problem-solving, working to change the way students learn, students willing and more energy into reality, exploratory math activities.

Ways of higher vocational college students＇ ideological and political education under the IT background

Higher Vocational Education is showing unprecedented good momentum of development, for a large number of vocational technical talents will be the training object of society. As the number of students in higher vocational colleges expands rapidly, their quality education and ability training have become more important. In conjunction with my teaching practice to engage in political work in colleges, from analyzing the problems of students ＇ ideological and political education, I elaborate approaches to strengthen students＇ ideological and political education.

The Drawbacks and Related Strategies in Using of Multimedia in Practical Teaching

With the development of modem scientific technology, multimedia teaching as a new teaching method has got involved in the practical teaching. Making full use of this method will bring great benefits for English teaching. Besides the unique advantages and the present situations of multimedia applied in English teaching, it is more important for us to find out its drawbacks in practical teaching process, such as the ineffective application of multimedia by teachers. Then, the related strategies mast be put forward improving the teaching facilities of multimedia. This paper mainly discusses the related strategies in order to create a better teaching environment and facilitate the training of teachers. After studying this paper, we will have a good knowledge of the multimedia teaching. Consequently, we can apply the multimedia into the traditional teaching. Multimedia resources are also very useful for teachers to meet the requirements in our modem society. Meanwhile, it will promote the teaching reform and improve the level of education in our country.
