It is the second troglophile species of the genus Itamus Schmidt-Gobel and is easily distinguished from I. cavicola (Moore), the other troglophile from Papua New Guinea, by its more elongate body, longer antennae, head without a supraorbital setiferous pore, and very shallow and impunctate elytral striae.展开更多

Orthogonius dupuisi Tian et Deuve, 2006 (from Indonesia) is treated as a junior homonym of O. dupuisi Basilewsky, 1948 (from Rhodesia), and therefore O. dupuisianus n. nom. is proposed. Actenocus punctatus Tian et Deuve, 2006 is confirmed as a good species, rather than a junior synonym of Orthogonius crassicrus Chaudoir, 1871 proposed by Kirschenhofer (2010).展开更多

According to the mutual relationship between the factors influencing coal production, an econometric model was constructed based on simultaneous equations, and the synergistic effect of each factor on the coal industry was estimated under the 1.5 ℃ scenario. Then, predictions were respectively made in the five aspects: coal production, coal science and technology progress, employment number, safe production level, and occupational health level, in different scenarios from 2016 to 2050. The results showed that before 2040, the comprehensive negative effect of the 1.5 ℃ situation is more than or equals to the positive effect. The 1.5 ℃ scenario has the biggest negative impact on employment, whose solution should be the focus. By 2050, the positive effects of the 1.5℃ scenario exceed the negative effect because of the enhancement in technical level and in the attention given to the whole production. Safety is improved, and health defects decline and the most obvious positive effect is on the ecological environment. The decrease of coal production will reduce the ecological environmental damage and significantly improve the ecological environment. In general, the prediction of 1.5 ℃ scenario promotes the increase of scientific production capacity and promotes the orderly development of coal. It has strengthened the safety and health protection degree, made the coal industry more efficient and competitive, and avoided or reduced the impact of coal development on the ecological environment and achieved environmental friendliness. However, the 1.5 ℃ situation also increases the employment pressure of the society, which affects the economic development of the major coal producing areas, but the situation can be overcome through the transformation and upgrading of the region. Finally, the impacts of various factors under the 1.5 ℃ scenario were evaluated through a unified comparison of the synergistic effect monetization using the cost and payment willingness methods. Based on the research results, suggestions on the regulation of coal production were proposed relating to resettlement of workers, protection of the ecological environment, and improvement of workers' health.展开更多

The monophyletic of the polyphaga and Adephaga was not supported in our study using COlgene sequences, as family Carabidae (Adephaga) was grouped with family Staphylidae (Polyphaga) with Staphylinidae paraphyletic. The subfamily Scolytinae is the most common ancestor for the subfamilies: Ceutorhynchinae, Curculioninae and Dryophtborinae and hence the oldest. The subfamily Cryptorhynchinae is the oldest among the five tested Curculionidae families. At the family level, the genetic distances and phylogenetic analysis obtained in this study showed that the family Carabidae was more related to family Staphylinidae than to family Curculionidae with the topology Staphylinida-Carabidae-Curculionidae. The topology was the same when Micromus igorotus from order Neuroptera was used as an outgroup taxon as it was Staphylinida, Carabidae, Curculionidae/Neuroptera. An alternative topology was obtained when Acytolepis puspa from order Lepidoptera was used as an outgroup that was Carabidae, Staphylinida, Curculionidae-Neuroptera/Lepidoptera. where the species of order Neuroptera placed within family Curculionida. According to the estimated genetic distances and to the standard mitochondrial DNA clock estimated at 2.3% MYA, family Curculionidae separated from family Staphylinidae and Carabidae approximately 112 and 115 MYA, respectively.展开更多

Changes in pH, total reducing sugar, ethanol, acetic acid, total phenolics and flavanoids content were examined. A number of antioxidant activities such as ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) and DPPH free radical scavenging activities were comparatively tested to determine the differences in the respective properties during the fermentation process. Results obtained demonstrated that there were differences in the phytochemical and antioxidant properties of fermented jackfruit leaves, depending on the fermentation starters. Fermented leaves using acetic acid bacteria alone, exhibited higher total reducing sugar (6.89 mg glucose/mL) compared to others. The ferric-reducing activities of fermented jackfruit leaves showed an increasing trend in the yeast fermentation process (5.96-10.12 mg ascorbic acid equivalent/mL). Generally, all extracts of fermented jackfruit leaves exhibited stronger DPPH radical scavenging activity except in the total phenolics and flavonoids content, whereby it showed a decrease trend throughout the fermentation process.展开更多
