It altogether includes 80 poems touching upon several themes such as love, religion, dignity, and life. Yeats is one of the most distinguished Irish poets throughout the world, whose works perfectly embody the incorporation of romanticism, modernism, and occultism. It is noteworthy that in some of his poems, animals are portrayed frequently or even taken as the title of a poem, such as bird, fish, swan and so on. Therefore, this essay attempts to study the meaning of animal images of this poetry anthology in terms of different writing phases of Yeats. Firstly, the author builds the corpus of The Wind Among the Reeds and employs corpus search software Ant Cone to check the number and distribution of the animal image. Next, the author focuses on certain prominent images and investigates them further by analyzing the concordance lines of them. Thirdly, according to the result of distribution information, the author also attaches importance to the phenomenon of image combination in the poetry and then explores its function and effect. To conclude, by exploring the animal image in The WindAmong the Reeds, a deeper understanding of the poetry and the writing style of the poet will be gained on another level. What is more, a more direct and objective data is provided through the method of corpus and its relevant software, thereupon a new research approach is introduced.展开更多

With 1,500 rock arts and 4,000 archaeological sites it is the fourth largest rock art region in the world. The entire Saudi Arabia has been comprehensively surveyed, investigated, and documented under the auspices of the Saudi Arabian Department of Antiquities (now Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities). The archaeological and rock art investigations revealed tantalizing results providing the evidence of human presence in the Arabian Peninsula from the early Acheulean period until the present day. In addition to the ancient towns and cities like Madain Saleh (contemporary to Petra in Jordan), Tayma, Domat al-Jandal, Thaj, and al-Fao and Ukhdoud hundreds of strange, mysterious, and mystic structures and petrolyghs are located in the deserts of Arabia. A few of such sites are discussed in this paper, highlighting the strong but still unknown to the world the cultural heritage of Saudi Arabia.展开更多

This influence is in three realms of ontology--man's relation with God and the way of proving and conveying mystical findings. In ontological realm, the main aim of the Islamic mysticism is recognition of God's essence in respect to His names and attributes in order to reach Him. Although they believe in unity of being and regard the created world as God's manifestation and do not consider independent existence for it, mystics have not neglected ontology They deal with issues such as gradation and hierarchy of being, the world of intellects, the world of ideas, and separation of essence from existence because of the influence of philosophy. In the realm of man's relation with God, there is a love relationship between the Creator and the creature resulting in a fascination based movement due to being attracted to the beauty of Absolute perfection-God-in lower states. Theoretical elucidation of this perfectionist movement and its phases has been under the influence of philosophical opinions suggested by Aristotle, Plotinus, and Sohrevardi. For proving and conveying mystical findings, mystics were usually condemned since their perception was intuitive, personal, and nontransferable. However, Ibn Arabi's endeavor in using logical reasoning helped Islamic mysticism to release its spiritual findings from being confined to a personal account and conveying them to others through an assured way; consequently, mysticism introduced itself as a system and a science.展开更多

As a result, it is misunderstood by some Muslims and few bothers to look into its reality. The current practiced of tasawwuf to some extend contradictory to the zuhd displayed during the time of the prophet and his companions. The adulteration in it has made many Muslims not to pay attention: less learning or benefitting from its fruits. The current corrupt situation among Muslims in Northern Nigeria can be attributed to absence of zuhd. The fact that corrupt mind can lead to many problems, generated into insurgency: causing a lot of damages and loss of life and property. Therefore, the implementation of zuhd according to the teachings and practice of the prophet, his companions, and early Sunni scholars can be of assistance in reducing the level of corruption among Muslims in Northern Nigeria, This can be achieved through proper Islamic education mainly for the attainment of Allah's pleasure. By this, a Muslim seeks for the worldly gains as a means to an end, and deceased from following his whims and caprices.展开更多
