Kinematics and dynamics analyses were performed for a spatial 3-revolute joint-revolute joint-clylindric pair(3-RRC) parallel manipulator.This 3-RRC parallel manipulator is composed of a moving platform,a base platform,and three revolute joint-revolute joint-column pair chains which connect the moving platform and the base platform.Firstly,kinematics analysis for 3-RRC parallel manipulator was conducted.Next,on the basis of Lagrange formula,a simply-structured dynamic model of 3-RRC parallel manipulator was derived.Finally,through a calculation example,the variation of motorial parameters of this 3-RRC parallel manipulator,equivalent moment of inertia,driving force/torque and energy consumption was discussed.The research findings have important significance for research and engineering projects such as analyzing dynamic features,mechanism optimization design and control of 3-RRC parallel manipulator. 展开更多

Based on the principle of turned mass damper(TMD) systems,the conceptual design of semi-submersible platform with a moveable heave-plate(MHS) has been put forward.The heave motion response amplitude operator(RAO) and viscous damping of the MHS platform are calculated by iteration,and the coupling stiffness between the MHS hull and the heave-plate is optimized to decrease the maximum heave motion response of the MHS hull under 10-year survival conditions in the South China Sea.The nu-merical results indicate that the heave motion RAO of the MHS hull can be decreased in the range of predominant wave frequencies,which may provide some reference to the heave motion control of offshore platforms. 展开更多

This paper describes the platformisation of the mobile services domain,which in recent years has become a successful strategy for some hardware manufacturers and software companies.While having different platform strategies and business models,they have succeeded in creating a demand for mobile software and content with end-users.This paper proposes a way to determine the optimum platform-charging mode that an operator should adopt to play a meaningful role in the mobile service domain and with respect to content with end-users.Four charging modes employed by mobile application stores are studied in this paper,namely the one-sided paid-by-users charging mode,the one-sided paid-by-advertisers charging mode,the two-sided differential paid charging mode and the two-sided paid and free access charging mode.Furthermore,a comparative analysis of the four modes is also presented. 展开更多

Singularity analysis is a basic problem of parallel mechanism, and this problem cannot be avoided in both workspace and motion planning. How to express the singularity locus in an analytical form is the research emphasis for many researchers for a long time. This paper presents a new method for the singularity analysis of the 6-SPS parallel mechanism. The rotation matrix is described by quaternion, and both the rotation matrix and the coordinate vectors have been expanded to four-dimensional forms. Through analyzing the coupling relationship between the position variables and the orientation variables, utilizing properties of the quaternion, eight equivalent equations can be obtained. A new kind of Jacobian matrix is derived from those equations, and the analytical expression of the singularity locus is obtained by calculating the determinant of the new Jacobian matrix. The singularity analysis of parallel mechanisms, whose moving platform actuated by 6 links and the vertices of both the base and the moving platforms has been placed on a circle respectively, can be solved by this analytical expression. 展开更多
