However the aim of this paper is to demonstrate the importance of studying the morphological categories, using the geometric attributes of the shape of places, facilitating the development of three-dimensional view of the architects, in particular for students of architecture. This article is part of the Project ＂Education of the Eye＂ which introduces the training of the eye as a strategy to understand the architectural forms characterizing the volumetric space （architectural, urban and landscaping）, through the polyhedra and their relationships. It is linked to the research line Teaching of Architecture Graduate Program in Architecture -- PROARQ-FAU/UFRJ. In the present work,we aimed to describe the current situation and developing trend of professional Master of pharmacy education in China.Systematic searches of websites for literatures related to the specialty of pro...In the present work,we aimed to describe the current situation and developing trend of professional Master of pharmacy education in China.Systematic searches of websites for literatures related to the specialty of professional Master of pharmacy were conducted.E-mail or telephone inquires were made directly to 108 pharmacy institutions(schools and universities)in China offering the MPharm program.The MPharm program was established in China in 2010,which primarily focuses on cultivating professionals in fields,such as drug technology transformation,inspection and regulation of drugs,registration and distribution of drugs,and pharmaceutical services.After 9 years of development,it has almost completed the overall design of its higher education paradigm with Chinese characteristics.With the rapid development of the pharmaceutical industry in China,the professional degree of pharmacy education program at the master’s level is insufficient to meet social and market demand for qualified professionals.Therefore,doctoral-level programs are now being promoted.展开更多

Methods： The study was conducted fromAugust 2010 to December 2011 and ca...Objective： To report a case ser/es of six neglected cervical spine dislocations without neurological deficit, which were managed operatively. Methods： The study was conducted fromAugust 2010 to December 2011 and cases were selected from the out- patient department of Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, India. The patients were in the age group of 30 to 50 years. All patients were operated via both anterior and posterior approaches. Results： During the immediate postoperative period, five （83.33%） patients had normal neurological status. One （16.67%） patient who had C5-C6 subluxation developed neu- rological deficit with sensory loss below C6 level and motor power of 2/5 in the lower limb and 3/5 in the upper limb below C6 level. Conclusion： There is no role of skull traction in ne- glected distractive flexion injuries to cervical spine delayed for more than 3 weeks. Posterior followed by anterior ap- proach saves much time. If both approaches are to be done in the same sitting, there is no need for instrumentation posteriorly. But if staged procedure is planed, posterior sta- bilization is recommended, as there is a risk of deterioration in neurological status.展开更多
Since the turn of the century, higher education policy in China has highlighted the importance of cultivating students＇ intercultural competences, particularly in the context of English language teaching. In spite of...Since the turn of the century, higher education policy in China has highlighted the importance of cultivating students＇ intercultural competences, particularly in the context of English language teaching. In spite of this, studies show that to this day Chinese ELT classrooms in higher education have rarely taken a cultural turn and teachers＇ understanding of interculturalism remains insufficient. This paper reports an action research study on how intercultural awareness was developed in the context of an English reading course at an independent college of a major Chinese university. The study followed a teaching flow that integrates intercultural learning with critical thinking by challenging students to select, analyze, and raise questions about English texts on aspects of Chinese culture. Mapping the outputs of a cohort of 77 second-year undergraduate students onto Baker＇s （2012; 2015） model of intercultural awareness, the study shows that a majority of participants demonstrated a level beyond basic awareness. The paper concludes that reading courses can be used to help foster intercultural awareness among Chinese students, and it offers some pedagogical and theoretical reflections on integrating intercultural learning with ELT, and formulates a number of suggestions for further studies.展开更多
