This paper focuses on document clustering by clustering algorithm based on a DEnsityTree (CABDET) to improve the accuracy of clustering. The CABDET method constructs a density-based treestructure for every potential cluster by dynamically adjusting the radius of neighborhood according to local density. It avoids density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise (DBSCAN) ′s global density parameters and reduces input parameters to one. The results of experiment on real document show that CABDET achieves better accuracy of clustering than DBSCAN method. The CABDET algorithm obtains the max F-measure value 0.347 with the root node's radius of neighborhood 0.80, which is higher than 0.332 of DBSCAN with the radius of neighborhood 0.65 and the minimum number of objects 6. 展开更多

A Fault detection and isolation(FDI)scheme for discrete time-delay system is proposed in this paper,which can not only detect but also isolate the faults.A time delay operator is introduced to resolve the problem brought by the time-delay system.The design and computation for the FDI system is carried by computer math tool Maple,which can easily deal with the symbolic computation.Residuals in the form of parity space can be deduced from the recursion of the system equations.Further more,a generalized residual set is created using the freedom of the parity space redundancy.Thus,both fault detection and fault isolation have been accomplished.The proposed method has been verified by a numerical example. 展开更多

Landslide hazard mapping is a fundamental tool for disaster management activities in Loess terrains. Aiming at major issues with these landslide hazard assessment methods based on Naive Bayesian classification technique, which is difficult in quantifying those uncertain triggering factors, the main purpose of this work is to evaluate the predictive power of landslide spatial models based on uncertain Naive Bayesian classification method in Baota district of Yan'an city in Shaanxi province, China. Firstly, thematic maps representing various factors that are related to landslide activity were generated. Secondly, by using field data and GIS techniques, a landslide hazard map was performed. To improve the accuracy of the resulting landslide hazard map, the strategies were designed, which quantified the uncertain triggering factor to design landslide spatial models based on uncertain Naive Bayesian classification method named NBU algorithm. The accuracies of the area under relative operating characteristics curves(AUC) in NBU and Naive Bayesian algorithm are 87.29% and 82.47% respectively. Thus, NBU algorithm can be used efficiently for landslide hazard analysis and might be widely used for the prediction of various spatial events based on uncertain classification technique. 展开更多

Various methods have been implemented. However they lack either speed or simplicity or both. In previous studies, simple color component subtraction and threshold in RGB color space were used. However, in this research study, the threshold is found empirically using a known images database. In addition, all the RGB color components were used in the calculation. Optimistic results were obtained. The obtained results illustrate that this method is a promising approach used in skin detection applications. 展开更多

This paper estimates the information-based trading using spatially selective noise filtration (SSNF) method. The SSNF method is a kind of filtration technique based on the different spatial correlation of the wavelet transform at several adjacent scales. Using SSNF method, the information shock caused by the informed traders could be extracted from the prices effectively, then the PINs at different scales could be calculated. The measure of informed trading can capture some asymmetric information properties, which is consistent with some empirical consensuses. Furthermore, compared with the MLE method in EKOP model, the method has computational facilities in avoiding the overflow or underflow problem, the boundary solutions problem and the initial values problem. And the method could be applied to the high-frequency world in both order-driven and quote-driven market. 展开更多

The line segment intersection problem is one of the basic problems in computational geometry and has been widely used in spatial analysis in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Lots of traditional algorithms study the problem in a serial environment. However, in GIS, a spatial object is much more complicated and is considered to be always composed of multiple line segments, and one line segment connects another line segment at its endpoint. On the other hand, along with the advances made in computer hardware, more and more personal computers have multiple cores or CPUs equipped. Thus, to make full use of the increasing computing resources, parallel technique is applied as one of the most available methods. Apparently, the traditional algorithms should be improved to take advantage of the technologies. Under these circumstances, based on the modified uniform grid algorithm, which is adapted to dealing with spatial objects in GIS, this paper proposes a parallel strategy in a shared memory architecture. Also, experimental results are given in the final part of this paper to demonstrate the efficiency this strategy brings. 展开更多
