Higher energy input results in higher holdup of the dispersed phase, the axial mixing of the continuous phase is suppressed, and the true height of mass transfer unit decreases markedly. On the other hand, higher energy input leads to more serious forward mixing of the dispersed phase, so the energy input should be limited. Accordingly the operation conditions were divided into two regions, and empirical correlations for predicting the mass transfer and axial mixing characteristics in different regions with a satisfactory accuracy were suggested.展开更多

The physico-chemical properties of the zeolite were characterized by XRD, FT-IR, SEM and TPD and then compared with the co-crystalline zeolite synthesized with a template. Analytical results indicated that they were similar in structure and composition. The influences ofpH value and Si/Al ratio on synthesis were studied. It was found that a high pH value or a low Si/AI ratio could provide better environment for mordenite (MOR) crystallization. The zeolites applied as catalysts in naphtha catalytic cracking for producing ethylene and propylene showed outstanding catalytic performance with the total yield of ethylene and propylene reaching 55 m%. The process could achieve most favorable efficiency when the catalyst contained 5 m% of MOR.展开更多

Here, a simple post-synthesis procedure has been developed to synthesize SBA-15 with further expanded pore diameter to above 10 nm simply by a solvothermal treatment replacing traditional hydrothermal step for mesopore template removal, which results in efficient pore expansion and the significantly promoted condensation of silica framework as well. This facile approach is believed applicable for pore expansions of other kinds of mesoporous silica materials.展开更多
