Numerical solutions are rapidly obtained for the three potential variables,electrostatic and electron and hole electrochemical potentials,to give the electron and hole surface and volume channel currents,using our cross-link two-route or zig-zag one-route recursive iteration algorithms. Boundary conditions on the three potentials dominantly affect the intrinsic-structure DC characteristics,illustrated by examples covering 20-decades of current (10-22 to 10-2 A/Square at 400cm^2/(V · s) mobility for 1.5nm gate-oxide, and 30nm-thick pure-base). Aside from the domination of carrier space-charge-limited drift current in the strong surface channels,observed in the theory is also the classical drift current saturation due to physical pinch-off of an impure-base volume channel depicted by the 1952 Shockley junction-gate field-effect transistor theory,and its extension to complete cut-off of the pure-base volume channel,due to vanishing carrier screening by the few electron and hole carriers in the pure-base,with Debye length (25mm) much larger than device dimension (25nm).展开更多

METHODS: A rat model of chronic acid reflux esophagitis was used. In the tr...AIM: To explore the pathological findings in the entire esophagus in rats with reflux esophagitis, and the effects of ecabet sodium (ES). METHODS: A rat model of chronic acid reflux esophagitis was used. In the treatment group, ES was administered after surgery (n = 16). No drug was administered postoperatively to the esophagitis group (n = 9). Shamoperated rats were used as a control group (n = 5). Rats were sacrificed on day 7 after the operation. The epithelial thickness and leukocyte infiltration were examined in the upper, middle and lower areas of the esophagus. The survival rate, incidence of esophageal ulcer, and mean surface area and number of esophageal ulcers were determined in the esophagitis and ES groups. Esophageal histology was assessed in all three groups. RESULTS: Leukocyte infiltration in the esophagitis group was 26.3 ± 22.0 in the middle esophagus and 8.2 ± 4.9 in the upper esophagus, which was significantly greater than that in the controls (1.3 ± 1.1 and 1.4 ±1.0, respectively) (P 〈 0.05). The thickness of the epithelium in the esophagitis group was 210.8 ± 47.7 μm in the lower esophagus and 204.2 ± 60.1 μm in the middle esophagus, which was significantly greater than that in the controls (26.0 ± 5.5 and 21.0 ± 6.5 μm, respectively) (P 〈 0.05). The mean number of ulcers per animal in the ES group in the entire esophagus was 5.4 =1= 2.5, which was significantly less than that in the esophagitis group (9.0 ± 3.5) (P 〈 0.05). The epithelial thickness in the ES group was 97.5 ± 32.2 μm in the lower esophagus, which was decreased compared with that in the esophagitis group (210.8 ± 47.7 μm) (P 〈 0.05). CONCLUSION: Mucosal inflammation extended to the upper esophagus close to the hypopharynx. Our study suggested that ES may have a useful defensive role in reflux esophagitis.展开更多

This paper summarizes the results of the international questionnaire survey which took place at the start of 2013 in order to examine, judge, and compare the implemented concept and procedures of human resource manage...This paper summarizes the results of the international questionnaire survey which took place at the start of 2013 in order to examine, judge, and compare the implemented concept and procedures of human resource management in the questioned building companies operating in the Visegrad Four countries (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and the Slovak Republic) and the Federal Republic of Germany, and proposes an optimal approach to human resource management in the context of the current and expected economic development. The questionnaire survey was based on the assumption that effective human resource management is a condition of the successful function of each building company and that human resource management is that area of management which distinguishes the successful building companies from the unsuccessful ones. In total, 202 companies from the Czech Republic, 105 companies from Hungary, 100 companies from Poland, 102 companies from the Slovak Republic, and 99 companies from the Federal Republic of Germany took part in the questionnaire survey. The results of the questionnaire survey showed that among the building companies questioned in individual countries, there was no substantial difference in the overall concept and in the partial procedures of human resource management. The implemented concept and procedures in the questioned building companies show significant merits and surprising shortcomings, whereas it is difficult to prove an unequivocal connection between the efficiency of human resource management and the success of building companies. This relationship is determined by a series of other political, economic, legal, social, cultural, technical, demographic, and natural effects which are not related to the efficiency of human resource management or to the performance of the workforce of building companies.展开更多

This paper is based on the assumption that expedient human resource controlling is an effective human resource management tool that achieves the required performance of employees and expected competitiveness of a building company. This paper uses the results of a questionnaire survey conducted in November 2013 to analyze human resource management in building companies in the Czech Republic and specify the organization and conditions of human resource management. Some 81 small (less than 50 employees) and 66 medium-sized (50-249 employees) building companies operating in the Czech Republic took part in the questionnaire survey. The results of the questionnaire survey showed the lack of concept and random nature of human resource management in most small and medium-sized building companies. Of course, in terms of the present economic trend, it is above all important for small and medium-sized companies to develop their adaptability to the building market and to be able to deal with a variety of construction works. This paper identifies the basic values of and the challenges to Macedonian Legal System in this area, and explains the key ethical aspects, which should be implemented in practice by civil servants, who increasingly have to learn how to perform in accordance with ethical values. In this paper I will analyze the ethical values of civil servants laid down by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the Civil Servants Agency in Macedonia, upon which the ethical principles for civil servants in the local administration units are intended to be set. This paper deals with the ethics of civil servants, assessment of best practices, and evaluation of positive and negative indicators. Chinese water resource management (CWRM) has passed through four stages: infancy, initial development, rapid development, and formation. In the last of these stages some problems persist and will affect management ...Chinese water resource management (CWRM) has passed through four stages: infancy, initial development, rapid development, and formation. In the last of these stages some problems persist and will affect management performance. CWRM was a decentralised, imperfectly codified and weakly implemented system that lacked a sound market policy, rational water prices, water conservation awareness, technical support and a performance appraisal system. The government of China proposed two new strategies in 2009: the Three Red Lines and the Interconnected River System Network (IRSN). This paper analyses these two strategies and reflects on new CWRM concepts. Both strategies strive for the sustainable utilisation of water resources and human-water harmony. The concepts, quantification method and application of harmony theory to water resources management is discussed. Applications of harmony theory to water resources management include (i) harmony between humans and nature; (ii) a harmony strategy for water resources management; (iii) a rational allocation model for water resources among different areas and departments based on harmony theory; (iv) harmony-based water allocation issues associated with transboundary rivers; (v) harmony-based interbasin water transfer problems; and (vi) harmony-based control of pollution discharge. We conclude by discussing how harmony theory and its applications provide an appropriate pathway for water resource management in China.展开更多

In this retrospective cohort study,we aimed to identify the influence of the CYP2C9*3 and CYP4F2 rs2108622 gene alleles on over-anticoagulation and bleeding complications associated with warfarin therapy.A total of 19...In this retrospective cohort study,we aimed to identify the influence of the CYP2C9*3 and CYP4F2 rs2108622 gene alleles on over-anticoagulation and bleeding complications associated with warfarin therapy.A total of 196 patients were included,including 80 males,the mean age was 50.8±10.7 years,and the average follow-up was 26.9±11.8 months.These patients underwent heart valve replacement surgery in the Cardiovascular Surgery of Fujian Provincial Hospital between January 2018 and August 2019,who took warfarin for at least 3 months and had target international normalized ratio(INR)between 1.8 and 2.5.Genotypes of CYP2C9*3 and CYP4F2 rs2108622 genes were tested by polymerase chain reaction(PCR)-gene sequencing technique.SPSS19.0 software was utilized to analyze the association between genotypes and warfarin-related over-anticoagulation and bleeding complications.Of the 434 patient-years,18 severe bleedings and 59 mild ones occurred in 31 patients.Patients with CYP2C9*1/*3 were associated with a higher over-anticoagulation risk compared with the*1/*1 carriers(hazard rate(HR)7.10;95%confidence interval(CI):2.54–19.79,P<0.001).The CYP4F2 rs2108622 mutant genotype did not cause significant increase in bleeding risk(HR 0.89;95%CI:0.43–1.82,P=0.74)or over-anticoagulation(HR 0.43;95%CI:0.16–1.13,P=0.09).Meanwhile,Kaplan-Meier survival curves showed that the time to over-anticoagulation in CYP2C9*1/*3 carriers was significantly shorter compared with the*1/*1 carriers(log-rank test,P<0.001),while that in CYP4F2 rs2108622 mutant genotype patients was longer compared with the wild-type patients(P=0.05).CYP2C9*3 and CYP4F2 rs2108622 might be major predictive factors of over-anticoagulation for warfarin therapy in Chinese patients.展开更多

The number of placed sensors should be minimized, while guaranteeing accurate tracking of hot spots and full thermal characterization. In this paper, we propose a rigid sensor allocation and placement technique for determining the minimal number of thermal sensors and the optimal locations while satisfying an expected accuracy of hot spot temperature error based on dual clustering. We analyze the false alarm rates of hot spots using the proposed methods in noise-free, with noise and sensor calibration scenarios, respectively. Experimental results confirm that our proposed methods are capable of accurately characterizing the temperatures of microprocessors.展开更多

In this paper I will analyze the ethical values of civil servants laid down by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the Civil Servants Agency in Macedonia, upon which the ethical principles for civil servants in the local administration units are intended to be set. This paper deals with the ethics of civil servants, assessment of best practices, and evaluation of positive and negative indicators. The paper concludes with a few recommendations for the next steps in this process; and some criteria for the consideration of future developments are suggested.

文摘Beyond doubt, the gaming industry is the most important to the sustained success for Macao. While the industry has been growing spectacularly well since its liberalization in 2004, now, it is time to critically review the risk factors that may adversely affect its long-term, healthy, and harmonious development. People and organizations need to be vigilant in peace time. Being able to think of possible crises while living in a safe environment has been our traditional wisdom. There is an obvious need to develop and maintain a risk management mechanism for the gaming industry in Macao. Appropriate precautionary measures developed through rigorous study can help mitigate the damage brought by crises and in turn will ensure the sustained development of Macao. Risks and crises, if handled properly, can possibly be transformed into opportunities. This research adopts an integrative approach through systematic and comprehensive investigation to establish an approach to monitor and predict risks and crises for the gaming industry in Macao. This would provide a useful reference for the society and government of Macao in handling them.

文摘Chinese water resource management (CWRM) has passed through four stages: infancy, initial development, rapid development, and formation. In the last of these stages some problems persist and will affect management performance. CWRM was a decentralised, imperfectly codified and weakly implemented system that lacked a sound market policy, rational water prices, water conservation awareness, technical support and a performance appraisal system. The government of China proposed two new strategies in 2009: the Three Red Lines and the Interconnected River System Network (IRSN). This paper analyses these two strategies and reflects on new CWRM concepts. Both strategies strive for the sustainable utilisation of water resources and human-water harmony. The concepts, quantification method and application of harmony theory to water resources management is discussed. Applications of harmony theory to water resources management include (i) harmony between humans and nature; (ii) a harmony strategy for water resources management; (iii) a rational allocation model for water resources among different areas and departments based on harmony theory; (iv) harmony-based water allocation issues associated with transboundary rivers; (v) harmony-based interbasin water transfer problems; and (vi) harmony-based control of pollution discharge. We conclude by discussing how harmony theory and its applications provide an appropriate pathway for water resource management in China.

文摘In this retrospective cohort study,we aimed to identify the influence of the CYP2C9*3 and CYP4F2 rs2108622 gene alleles on over-anticoagulation and bleeding complications associated with warfarin therapy.A total of 196 patients were included,including 80 males,the mean age was 50.8±10.7 years,and the average follow-up was 26.9±11.8 months.These patients underwent heart valve replacement surgery in the Cardiovascular Surgery of Fujian Provincial Hospital between January 2018 and August 2019,who took warfarin for at least 3 months and had target international normalized ratio(INR)between 1.8 and 2.5.Genotypes of CYP2C9*3 and CYP4F2 rs2108622 genes were tested by polymerase chain reaction(PCR)-gene sequencing technique.SPSS19.0 software was utilized to analyze the association between genotypes and warfarin-related over-anticoagulation and bleeding complications.Of the 434 patient-years,18 severe bleedings and 59 mild ones occurred in 31 patients.Patients with CYP2C9*1/*3 were associated with a higher over-anticoagulation risk compared with the*1/*1 carriers(hazard rate(HR)7.10;95%confidence interval(CI):2.54–19.79,P<0.001).The CYP4F2 rs2108622 mutant genotype did not cause significant increase in bleeding risk(HR 0.89;95%CI:0.43–1.82,P=0.74)or over-anticoagulation(HR 0.43;95%CI:0.16–1.13,P=0.09).Meanwhile,Kaplan-Meier survival curves showed that the time to over-anticoagulation in CYP2C9*1/*3 carriers was significantly shorter compared with the*1/*1 carriers(log-rank test,P<0.001),while that in CYP4F2 rs2108622 mutant genotype patients was longer compared with the wild-type patients(P=0.05).CYP2C9*3 and CYP4F2 rs2108622 might be major predictive factors of over-anticoagulation for warfarin therapy in Chinese patients.

文摘Using embedded thermal sensors, dynamic thermal management(DTM) techniques measure runtime thermal behavior of high-performance microprocessors so as to prevent thermal runaway situations. The number of placed sensors should be minimized, while guaranteeing accurate tracking of hot spots and full thermal characterization. In this paper, we propose a rigid sensor allocation and placement technique for determining the minimal number of thermal sensors and the optimal locations while satisfying an expected accuracy of hot spot temperature error based on dual clustering. We analyze the false alarm rates of hot spots using the proposed methods in noise-free, with noise and sensor calibration scenarios, respectively. Experimental results confirm that our proposed methods are capable of accurately characterizing the temperatures of microprocessors.
