By compar...On the basis of stereo image analysis, the change detection of man-made objects in urban areas is introduced. Information of the height of man-made objects can be applied to reinforce their change detection. By comparison between the new and old DSMs, the changed regions are extracted. However, our aim is to detect changes of man-made objects in urban area and further in the potential areas by the means of line-feature matching and gradient direction histogram. The experiments based on the aerial images from Japan have proven that the algorithm is correct and efficient.展开更多

The data gathered were used to start a training to laboratory personnel training about EPA-PH （Environmental Protection Agency-Pollution Hierarchy）. After training new diagnostics were performed. The applications of waste minimization practices in the laboratories were analyzed before and after the training. The most poorly practices performed year by year during the study period were ＂substitute nonhazardous materials＂, ＂chemical treatment＂ and ＂distillation＂. ＂Redistribute surplus chemical＂ was performed in 22 labs, 30 labs and 48 labs during years 2010, 2011 and 2013 respectively as the most common practice. This study showed that training about pollution prevention hierarchy increased the number of laboratories doing waste minimization practices, prioritizing reduction and prevention from the source.展开更多

Nitroglycerine was used...To investigate the therapeutic effects and mechanisms of garlicin for treatment of unstable angina pectoris (UAP), garlicin injectio was intravenously dripped 60 mg/day in 34 cases for 10 days. Nitroglycerine was used in 21 cases of the control group. The results showed that the total effective rates in improving symptoms and electrocardiogram after garlicin treatment were respectively 82% and 62%, and that the plasma endothelin and blood sugar levels were markedly lowered in cases with hyperglycemia.展开更多

Poor...The adverse impact of chemical agriculture in the India on the soil, water, environment and human health （of consumers and farm families） exacerbates rural poverty, even as agriculture productivity remains low. Poor families, especially women, are the most affected by the health and environmental risks that are brought on by chemical agriculture, and they are hardest hit by the deteriorating productivity. On the other hand, the solid waste management problem in India is increasingly being felt in rural and urban areas. In this study, the author proposes to practice ofvermicomposting as technology for both sustainable agriculture and solid waste management, using the Hydro Bioreactor with vegetable waste. This technique is studied in the present research work which is simple and potentially inexpensive. Experiments were conducted to determine the changes in the physicochemical parameters and the dominant species of microorganisms at different temperatures during entire process of vermicomposting were investigated. The vermicompost developed in the hydro bioreactor was found to have comparatively high value of nutrients which can serve as natural fertilizer. The hydro bioreactor vermicomposting has proved very effective and efficient for developing compost from vegetable waste.展开更多
