From the mathematical point of view,the flexible inventory control model is proved in the practical problem application and the rationality of the capacity parameter selection and calculation.The purpose is to actively respond to demand fluctuations when there is a demand forecast error or a missing part of the demand information,and to avoid the risk of passive variable demand forecasting to set the immutable inventory capacity.At the same time,the game is controlled by the flexible and variable inventory control strategy and the customer’s willingness to demand.The paper mainly studies the influence of the setting of capacity parameters on the booking-limit decision and its benefits under the control of flexible space with variable total capacity.Through the two trends of capacity increase flexibility and capacity reduction flexibility in the flexible inventory control model,the mathematical performance and marginal utility methods are introduced to change the performance of the booking-limit control decision model under different scenarios.The correlation analysis between the capacity limit level and the return under the optimal Bookinglimit decision,and the above two flexibility parameters are obtained. 展开更多

This paper presents a case study that demonstrates how models can be used to support water management decisions before sufficient data to verify the model are available. In developing areas, and for new reservoirs, extensive data for model calibration and validation are often not available. As a case study we developed a CE-QUAL-W2 model of Aguamilpa Reservoir using minimal data and used the model to create a data acquisition plan to support early planning decisions. We based the model on a two-year period and compared the model results to data recently collected with our acquisition plan. We present how we developed and used the model to design the data acquisition plan which identifies and collects data to update and calibrate the model to support future decisions. We show that a minimally calibrated model based on scarce data can support management decisions and be the first step in a spiral engineering approach to system management. Spiral engineering uses models and data to both support early decisions and to iteratively improve this information to support subsequent decisions and models. This case study can be used as a guide for developing water quality models with minimal data and uses the models to support early decision requirements. 展开更多

This paper offers 7 exploiting principles for the computer support system on feasible reasoning and scientific decision-making of projects, that is, the principles of standardization, procedure, specification, agility, currency, practicability and development. On the basis of analysis on systematic procedure, the computer support system on feasible reasoning and scientific decision-making of projects is formed based on WEB, and its general structure, system function and the methods to be realized are introduced. The data composition of this system is analyzed following the principles of integrality, development, perspicuity and consistency. A New Approach for Knowledge Discovery in Distributed Databases Using Fragmented Data Storage Model

Since the early 1990, significant progress in database technology has provided new platform for emerging new dimensions of data engineering. New models were introduced to utilize the data sets stored in the new generations of databases. These models have a deep impact on evolving decision-support systems. But they suffer a variety of practical problems while accessing real-world data sources. Specifically a type of data storage model based on data distribution theory has been increasingly used in recent years by large-scale enterprises, while it is not compatible with existing decision-support models. This data storage model stores the data in different geographical sites where they are more regularly accessed. This leads to considerably less inter-site data transfer that can reduce data security issues in some circumstances and also significantly improve data manipulation transactions speed. The aim of this paper is to propose a new approach for supporting proactive decision-making that utilizes a workable data source management methodology. The new model can effectively organize and use complex data sources, even when they are distributed in different sites in a fragmented form. At the same time, the new model provides a very high level of intellectual management decision-support by intelligent use of the data collections through utilizing new smart methods in synthesizing useful knowledge. In order to investigate the feasibility of reintroducing the South China tiger (Panthera tigris amoyensis) in the Jiangxi Matoushan National Nature Reserve, field surveys were conducted to assess prey distribution in the reserve. Twelve permanent transects were set in three distinct functional zones from February to April 2012 and May to July 2013. A total of 112 ungulate signs were recorded on these transects. In addition, 20 camera traps were used to survey ungulates and predators in 2012, while the following year we extended the survey site by using 30 cameras. Overall, 6641 capture events on 2930 camera days were obtained, presenting a variety of ungulate spe- cies: muntjak (Muntiacus muntjak), tufted deer (Elaphodus cephalophus), serow (Capricornis sumatraensis) and wild boar (Sus scrofa). Population structure and composition of ungulates was compared in different functional zones using a single factor of variance analysis in SPSS software. Significant differences in the distribution of un- gulates were recognized between the core zone and experimental zone, but not in other zones due to differences in habitat types and management practices of the nature reserve. Using ArcGIS analysis and Salford Predictive Modeler software, we ran several predictive models to understand which areas are most suitable for ungulates. We conclude that muntjac and wild boar are mainly distributed in the experimental zone, serow are more common in the core zone, while tufted deer are located evenly in the three functional zones. Finally, suggestions for effective and feasible management strategies and techniques for Matoushan National Nature Reserve were recom- mended based on the results and analysis in this study. 展开更多
