This "vegetable" is consumed on a daily basis by the Mexican population, being a source of food nutrients. Among its benefits, it is considered the content of potassium, which is essential for human life and health. In this study, it analyzes the content of potassium of the Mexican cactus (Opuntiaficus indica) grown in 5 different regions in the Mexican Basin, where 67% of the nopal is produced for human consumption. The used methodology is gamma spectrometry with Hyperpure Germanium detector (HPGe) and Multichannel Analyzer (MCA) with Maestro~ software. The results show interesting aspects on the concentration of potassium in the nopal. This concentration will primarily depend on: (a) the geological characteristics of the location where the nopal was grows; (b) that potassium concentrations may vary substantially from a region to another, with the same species of nopal as a reference and (c) that this concentration may also vary from one growing season to another.展开更多

Also, the B 1 and B2 were differently in NH4Acetate-EDTA soluble fraction (mg.kgl: calcium 25,500 and 2,300; zinc 1.61 and 0.53; cadmium 0.195 and 0.064, respectively). The experiments were conducted in four replicates (the basic plot 16.8 m2) in a randomized complete block design. The ear-leaf was taken at the beginning of silking and grain samples at maturity. Mean leaf-Cd (mg Cd.kg-t in dry matter) were 0.102 and 0.072, for 2001 and 2002; 0.064 and 0.195, for BI and B2, while differences in level of genotype were from 0.040 to 0.581 (the parents) and from 0.046 to 0.171 (the hybrids). Six hybrids of Bc707-1 had considerably higher leaf-Cd in comparison with six hybrids of Bc265-1 (means 0.100 and 0.050 respectively). Grain-Cd was under detectable range (〈 0.040) with exception of Bc707-1 parent on the B2 soil (0.17 mg Cd-kg^-1).展开更多

The control received by-pass fat 0 g/h.d, the experimental group received by-pass fat 300 g/h.d. The results shown, DMI and yield of milk did not be affected with supplementation of by-pass fat, however, milk protein increased by 6.71%, milk fat increased by 8.16%, lactose increased by 0.22%, SNF increased by 1.98%, TS increased 4.08%; digestibility of diet protein decreased by 6.62%, digestibility of EE decreased by 7.96%, digestibility of NDF and ADL decreased by 1.36%, 8.97% respectively, digestibility of DM and OM decreased by 4.42, 3.07 percentage units; amount of C4-C17 milk fatty acids showed a decreased tendency, that of CIs-C22 showed an increased tendency, the milk CLA increased significantly (P 〈 0.01). To sum up, supplementation of by-pass fat for early lactation Holstein is an important measure to balance energy and sustain milk yield and quality.展开更多
