It was found that Cu2O@Cu2O NPs were easily converted to Cu2O@Cu NPs with the help of polyvinylpyrrolidine (PVP) and excessive ascorbic acid (AA) in air at room temperature, which was an interesting phenomenon. The features of the two kinds of NPs were characterized by XRD, TEM and extinction spectra. Cu2O@Cu NPs with different shell thicknesses showed wide tunable optical properties for the localized surface plasmon (LSP) in metallic Cu. But Cu2O@Cu2O NPs did not indicate this feature. FTIR results reveal that Cu+ ions on the surface of Cu2O shell coordinate with N and O atoms in PVP and are further reduced to metallic Cu by excessive AA and then form a nucleation site on the surface of Cu2O nanocrystalline. PVP binds onto different sites to proceed with the reduction utill all the Cu sources in Cu2O shell are completely assumed.展开更多

However, its photoresistivity and photoresonse are still unsatisfied. Herein, we report a novel method to assemble ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) onto the reduced graphite oxide (RGO) sheet by simple hydrothermal process without any surfactant. It is found that the high-quality crystallized ZnO NPs with the average diameter of 5 nm are well dispersed on the RGO surface, and the density of ZnO NPs can be readily controlled by the concentration of the precursor. The photodetector fabricated with this ZnO NPs- RGO hybrid structure demonstrates an excellent photoresponse for the UV irradiation. The total potential energy and specific heat capacity were calculated to estimate the melting temperatures. The melting point is 540+10 K for the icosahedral structure, 500±10 K for the decahedral structure, and 520±10 K for the truncated octahedral structure. With the results of mean square displacement, the bond order parameters and radius of gyration are consistent with the variation of total potential energy and specific heat capacity. The relaxation time and stretching parameters in the Kohlraush-William-Watts relaxation law were obtained by fitting the mean square displacement. The results show that the relationship between the relaxation time and the temperatures is in agreement with standard Arrhenius relation in the high temperature range.展开更多

Both the shape of ceria and the loading of copper affect the chemical bonding of copper species on ceria surfaces and the electronic and geometric character of the relevant interfaces. Nanostructured ceria, including particles(polyhedra), rods, and cubes, provides anchoring sites for the copper species. The atomic arrangements and chemical properties of the(111),(110) and(100) facets, preferentially exposed depending on the shape of ceria, govern the copper-ceria interactions and in turn determine their catalytic properties. Also, the metal loading significantly influences the dispersion of copper species on ceria with a specific shape, forming copper layers, clusters, and nanoparticles. Lower copper contents result in copper monolayers and/or bilayers while higher copper loadings lead to multi-layered clusters and faceted particles. The active sites are usually generated via interactions between the copper atoms in the metal species and the oxygen vacancies on ceria, which is closely linked to the number and density of surface oxygen vacancies dominated by the shape of ceria.展开更多

The structure and characteristic of the nano-structured Ag solid materials (NSS-Ag) were studied using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and Raman spectrometer. The NSS-Ag could be used as highly efficient surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) active substrates. The common probe molecules Rhodamine 6G (R6G, 1×10-10 mol/L) were used to test the SERS activity on these substrates at very low concentrations. It is found that the SERS enhancement ability is dependent on the density of NSS-Ag. When the relative density of NSS-Ag is 83.87%, the materials reveal great SERS signal.展开更多

From Raman scattering investigation, we determine that the deposited film has the structure of silicon nanocrystals embedded in silicon nitride (nc-Si/SiNx) thin film at a certain hydrogen dilution amount. The analysis of optical absorption spectra implies that the Si NPs is affected by quantum size effects and has the nature of an indirect-band-gap semiconductor. Further, considering the effects of the mean Si NP size and their dispersion on oscillator strength, and quantum-confinement, we obtain an analytical expression for the spectral absorbance of ensemble samples. Gaussian as well as lognormal size-distributions of the Si NPs are considered for optical absorption coefficient calculations. The influence of the particle size-distribution on the optical absorption spectra was systematically studied. We present the fitting of the optical absorption experimental data with our model and discuss the results.展开更多

Here we report on a facile and controllable method that enables a high yield fabricatioa of uniform gold nanoparticle (AuNP) coresatellites with definable number (in average) of the satellite particles and tunable coretosatellite distance. The formation of the coresatellite nanostruc tures is driven by programmable DNAbasepairing, with the resulting nanocomplexes being isolatable via gel electrophoresis. By rationally controlling the DNA coverages on the core and shell particles, high production yields are achieved for the assembly/isolation process. As well, benefiting from a minimum DNA coverage on the satellite AuNPs, a strong affinity is observed for the asprepared coresatellites to get adsorbed on proteincoated graphene ox ide, which allows for a twodimensional hierarchical assembly of the coresatellite structures. The resulting hierarchical nanoassemblies are expected to find applications in various areas, including plasmonics, biosensing, and nanocatalysis. The method should be generalizable to make even more complicated and higherorder structures by making use of the structural programmability of DNA molecules.展开更多

Scanning electron microscopy(SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) were employed to characterize the morphology and composition of the films fabricated in the electrolytes with and without addition of Si C nanoparticles. Results show that Si C particles can be successfully incorporated into the oxide film during the anodizing process and preferentially concentrate within internal cavities and micro-cracks. The ball-on-disk sliding tests indicate that Si C-containing oxide films register much lower wear rate than the oxide films without Si C under dry sliding condition. Si C particles are likely to melt and then are oxidized by frictional heat during sliding tests. Potentiodynamic polarization behavior reveals that the anodized alloy with Si C nanoparticles results in a reduction in passive current density to about 1.54×10-8 A/cm2, which is more than two times lower than that of the Ti O2 film(3.73×10-8 A/cm2). The synthesized composite film has good anti-wear and anti-corrosion properties and the growth mechanism of nanocomposite film is also discussed.展开更多

We present the fitting of the optical absorption experimental data with our model and discuss the results.
文摘Monodisperse nanoparticle assembly with tunable structure, composition and properties can be taken as a superstructured building block for the construction of hierarchical nanostruc tures from the bottom up, which also represents a great challenge in nanotechnology. The method should be generalizable to make even more complicated and higherorder structures by making use of the structural programmability of DNA molecules.
文摘The structural and optical characterization of cadmium-doped zinc oxide nanoparticles synthesized by precipitation method was studied.X-ray diffraction study confirmed the substitution of cadmium dopant without disturbing the basic wurtzite structure of zinc oxide. The average crystalline size, lattice constants and unit cell volume also increased up to4%of cadmium doping.Energy gaps of the samples were determined from the ultraviolet?visible absorption spectrum as well as Tauc’s plot which infers that the energy gap decreases with the increase of cadmium content.Fourier transformation infrared spectrum confirms the cadmium dopant through peak shifting from485to563cm?1.Photoluminescence spectrum also defines the cadmium dopant by intensity increase. The broad Raman peak at437cm?1indicates that the wurtzite structure of zinc oxide is weakened by5%cadmium doping.Field emission scanning electron microscope study also confirms the existence of particles in nanometer size and it indentifies the microstructure transformation from nanoparticles to jasmine flower-like structure on5%cadmium doping.
文摘The nanoparticles MgSb206 with trirutile-type structure were prepared by colloidal method using ethylanediamine (0.5 and 0.75 mL), following a calcination at 800 ℃. After, those powders were analyzed by x-ray obtaining a tetragonal structure with cell parameters, a = 4.64 A and c = 9.25 A and special group P42/mnm. Using a scanning electron microscopy were analyzed the powders calcined at 800 ℃, showing the formation of micro-plates, micro-rods, nanoparticles and morphology as rice grains. Employing a transmission electron microscopy, were found nanostructures hexagonal shaped with sizes of- 33.6 nm (0.5 mL) and 28.6 nm (0.75 mL).
文摘Here we demonstrate the fabrication of nanometer-sized gaps by assembling single coreshell nanoparticles between metallic nanoelectrodes. Protein coated SiO2@Au coreshell nanopar- tides arc synthesized and positioned between fluorescent molecules-covered electrodes in a controllable way using dielectrophoretic trapping, forming nanogaps sandwiched between nanoparticle and manoelectrodes. Preliminary photoluminescence measurements show that enhanced molecular fluorescence could be detected from the fluorescent molecules inside the nanogaps. These results pave the way for realizing electrically driven molecular fluorescence based on nanogap electrodes.

文摘Anodized composite films containing Si C nanoparticles were synthesized on Ti6Al4 V alloy by anodic oxidation procedure in C4O6H4Na2 electrolyte. The synthesized composite film has good anti-wear and anti-corrosion properties and the growth mechanism of nanocomposite film is also discussed.
