The main concept is using the Formal Concept Analysis to automatically establish domain ontology. Finally, the ontology is acted as the base for the Naive Bayes classifier to approve the effectiveness of the domain ontology for document classification. The 1752 documents divided into 10 categories are used to assess the effectiveness of the ontology, where 1252 and 500 documents are the training and testing documents, respectively. The Fl-measure is as the assessment criteria and the following three results are obtained. The average recall of Naive Bayes classifier is 0.94. Therefore, in recall, the performance of Naive Bayes classifier is excellent based on the automatically constructed ontology. The average precision of Naive Bayes classifier is 0.81. Therefore, in precision, the performance of Naive Bayes classifier is gored based on the automatically constructed ontology. The average Fl-measure for 10 categories by Naive Bayes classifier is 0.86. Therefore, the performance of Naive Bayes classifier is effective based on the automatically constructed ontology in the point of F 1-measure. Thus, the domain ontology automatically constructed could indeed be acted as the document categories to reach the effectiveness for document classification.展开更多

Secondly, an eigenvector independent of the ship target size is constructed by combining the shape feature with ship histogram of oriented gradient(S-HOG) feature, and the target can be recognized by Ada Boost classifier. As demonstrated in our experiments, the proposed method with the detection accuracy of over 96% outperforms the state-of-the-art method. efficiency switch and modulation.展开更多

The algorithm has two stages. First, the input triangular mesh is refined by iteratively applying the adaptive subdivision operator that performs a so-called red-green split. Second, the refined mesh is simplified by a clustering algorithm based on centroidal Voronoi tessellations (CVTs). The accuracy and good quality of the output triangular mesh are achieved by combining adaptive subdivision and the CVTs technique. Test results showed the mesh coarsening scheme to be robust and effective. Examples are shown that validate the method.展开更多

Mul...Congenital human cytomegalovirus(HCMV) infection is a leading infectious cause of birth defects.Previous studies have reported birth defects with multiple organ maldevelopment in congenital HCMV-infected neonates. Multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells(MSCs) are a group of stem/progenitor cells that are multi-potent and can self-renew, and they play a vital role in multiorgan formation. Whether MSCs are susceptible to HCMV infection is unclear. In this study, MSCs were isolated from Wharton's jelly of the human umbilical cord and identified by their plastic adherence, surface marker pattern, and differentiation capacity. Then, the MSCs were infected with the HCMV Towne strain, and infection status was assessed via determination of viral entry,replication initiation, viral protein expression, and infectious virion release using western blotting,immunofluorescence assays, and plaque forming assays. The results indicate that the isolated MSCs were fully permissive for HCMV infection and provide a preliminary basis for understanding the pathogenesis of HCMV infection in non-nervous system diseases, including multi-organ malformation during fetal development.展开更多
