Working Condition Real-Time Monitoring Model of Lithium Ion Batteries Based on Distributed Parameter System and Single Particle Model

Lithium ion batteries are complicated distributed parameter systems that can be described preferably by partial differential equations and a field theory. To reduce the solution difficulty and the calculation amount, if a distributed parameter system is described by ordinary differential equations (ODE) during the analysis and the design of distributed parameter system, the reliability of the system description will be reduced, and the systemic errors will be introduced. Studies on working condition real-time monitoring can improve the security because the rechargeable LIBs are widely used in many electronic systems and electromechanical equipment. Single particle model (SPM) is the simplification of LIB under some approximations, and can estimate the working parameters of a LIB at the faster simulation speed. A LIB modelling algorithm based on PDEs and SPM is proposed to monitor the working condition of LIBs in real time. Although the lithium ion concentration is an unmeasurable distributed parameter in the anode of LIB, the working condition monitoring model can track the real time lithium ion concentration in the anode of LIB, and calculate the residual which is the difference between the ideal data and the measured data. A fault alarm can be triggered when the residual is beyond the preset threshold. A simulation example verifies that the effectiveness and the accuracy of the working condition real-time monitoring model of LIB based on PDEs and SPM. 展开更多

We present a non-uniform granular system in one-dimensional case, whose granularity distribution has the fractal characteristic. The particles are subject to inelastic mutual collisions and obey Langevin equation between collisions. By Monte Carlo simulation we study the dynamic actions of the system. Far from the equilibrium, i.e., τ 〉〉 τe, the results of simulation indicate that the inhomogeneity of the system and the inelasticity of the particles have great influences on the dynamic properties of the system, and correspondingly the influence of the inhomogeneity is more significant. 展开更多

We discover that, if the spectrum of a Hamiltonian matches the symmetry of a fermion or boson system in a certain fashion, a perfect quantum state transfer can be implemented without any operation on the medium with pre-engineered nearest neighbor (NN). We also study a simple but realistic near half-filled tight-bindlng fermion system wlth uniform NN hopping integral. We show that an arbitrary many-particle state near the fermi surface can be perfectly transferred to its translational counterpart. 展开更多

According to the effective sampling of particles and the particles impoverishment caused by re-sampling in particle filter,an improved particle filtering algorithm based on observation inversion optimal sampling was proposed. Firstly,virtual observations were generated from the latest observation,and two sampling strategies were presented. Then,the previous time particles were sampled by utilizing the function inversion relationship between observation and system state. Finally,the current time particles were generated on the basis of the previous time particles and the system one-step state transition model. By the above method,sampling particles can make full use of the latest observation information and the priori modeling information,so that they further approximate the true state. The theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the new algorithm filtering accuracy and real-time outperform obviously the standard particle filter,the extended Kalman particle filter and the unscented particle filter. 展开更多

With granulated views, the concepts of approximations under incomplete information systems are studied, which are represented by covering of the universe. With respect to different levels of granulations, a pair of lower and upper approximations is defined and an approximation structure is investigated, which lead to a more general approximation structure. The generalized multi-layered granulation structure provides a basis of the proposed framework of granular computing. Using this framework, the interesting and useful results about information granulation and approximation reasoning can be obtained. Amphiphilic diblock copolymers, methoxy poly ( ethylene glycol)-poly(lactic acid) (MePEG-PLA), were synthesized from monomers of DL-lactide and methoxy poly (ethylene glycol) by a ring opening bulk polymerizatiou in the presence of stannous octoate. Their chemical structure and physical properties were investigated using FTIR, NMR, GPC, and fluorescence spectroscopy. To estimate the feasibility as colloidal drug carrier, nimodipine (ND) was loaded into MePEG-PLA block copolymer nanoparticles by phaseseparation/dialysis method. The mean diameter and drug loading efficiency of ND-loaded MePEG-PLA copolymer nanoparticles depended ou PLA/MePEG block composition of the copolymer and drug/polymer feed ratio in preparatiou. NMR study confirmed that nimodipine was entrapped into the hydrophobic inner core of MePEG-PLA copolymer nanoparticles and hydrophilic PEG chains were located ou the surface of the drug-loaded polymer nanoparticles. In vitro release experiments exhibited the sustained release behavior of nimodipine from MePEG-PLA copolymer nanoparticles, without any burst effect. 展开更多

An alternative method is proposed in this letter for describing the arbitrary shape and size for granules in 2D image.After image binarization, the edge points on contour are detected, by which the centroid of the shape in question is sought using the moment calculation.Using Principal Component Analysis(PCA), the major and minor diameters are computed.Based on the signature curve-fitting, the first-order derivative is taken so as to seek all the characteristic vertices.By connecting the vertices found, the simplified polygon is formed and utilized for shape and size descriptive purposes.The developed algorithm is run on two given real particle images, and the execution results indicate that the computed parameters can technically well describe the shape and size for the original particles, being able to provide a ready-to-use database for machine vision system to perform related data processing tasks. 展开更多
