Based on analyzing the limit of Ziolkowski's bubble oscillation formulation,a new model with various physical factors is established to simulate air gun signatures fo marine seismic exploration.The practical effects ...Based on analyzing the limit of Ziolkowski's bubble oscillation formulation,a new model with various physical factors is established to simulate air gun signatures fo marine seismic exploration.The practical effects of physical factors,such as heat transfe across the bubble wall,air gun port throttling,vertical rise of the bubble,fluid viscosity,and the existence of the air gun body were all taken into account in the new model.Compared with Ziolkowski's model,the signatures simulated by the new model,with small peak amplitude and rapid decay of bubble oscillation,are more consistent with actual signatures The experiment analysis indicates:(1)gun port throttling controls the peak amplitude of ai gun pulse;(2)since the hydrostatic pressure decreases when the bubble rises,the bubble oscillation period changes;(3)heat transfer and fluid viscosity are the main factors tha explain the bubble oscillation damping.展开更多
AIM: To analyze the localization of erythropoietin receptor on gastric specimens and characterize the effects of erythropoietin on the normal gastric epithelial proliferation using a porcine gastric epithelial cell c...AIM: To analyze the localization of erythropoietin receptor on gastric specimens and characterize the effects of erythropoietin on the normal gastric epithelial proliferation using a porcine gastric epithelial cell culture model. METHODS: Erythropoietin receptor was detected by RT-PCR, Western blotting and immunohistochermistry. Growth stimulation effects of erythropoietin on cultured gastric mucosal cells were determined by ELISA using bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU). RESULTS: Erythropoietin receptor was detected on cultured porcine gastric mucosal epithelial cells. Erythropoietin receptor was also detected histochemically at the base of gastric mucosal epithelium. BrdU assay demonstrated a dose-dependent increase in growth potential of cultured porcine gastric mucosal epithelial cells by administration of erythropoietin, as well as these effects were inhibited by administration of antierythropoietin antibody (P〈 0.01). CONCLUSION: These findings indicate that erythropoietin has a potential to proliferate gastric mucosal epithelium via erythropoietin receptor.展开更多

Bubbles with maximum equivalent diameter of up to 16 mm were investigated. The bubble Reynolds number(Re) ranged from 0.02 to 1200 covering 3 regimes in which two func-tions are obtained relating the drag coefficient,CD,with Re and Mo. It has been found that in the high Reynolds number regime the drag coefficient increases until the Reynolds number of about 1200. The classic expression of Jamialahmadi(1994) is improved and extended to high viscosity liquids. A new relationship for the aspect ratio of deformed bubbles in terms of Re,the Etvs number and Mo,applicable to a wide range of system properties,espe-cially in high viscosity liquids,is also suggested.展开更多
The histopathological diagnosis of gastric mucosal biopsy and endoscopic mucosal resection/endoscopic submucosal dissection specimens is important,but the diagnostic criteria,terminology,and grading system are not the...The histopathological diagnosis of gastric mucosal biopsy and endoscopic mucosal resection/endoscopic submucosal dissection specimens is important,but the diagnostic criteria,terminology,and grading system are not the same in the East and West.A structurally invasive focus is necessary to diagnose carcinoma for most Western pathologists,but Japanese pathologists make a diagnosis of cancer based on severe dysplastic cytologic atypia irrespective of the presence of invasion.Although the Vienna classification was introduced to reduce diagnostic discrepancies,it has been difficult to adopt due to different concepts for gastric epithelial neoplastic lesions.Korean pathologists experience much difficulty making a diagnosis because we are influenced by Japanese pathologists as well as Western medicine.Japan is geographically close to Korea,and academic exchanges are active.Additionally,Korean doctors are familiar with Western style medical terminology.As a result,the terminology,definitions,and diagnostic criteria for gastric intraepithelial neoplasia are very heterogeneous in Korea.To solve this problem,the Gastrointestinal Pathology Study Group of the Korean Society of Pathologists has made an effort and has suggested guidelines for differential diagnosis:(1) a diagnosis of carcinoma is based on invasion;(2) the most important characteristic of low grade dysplasia is the architectural pattern such as regular distribution of crypts without severe branching,budding,or marked glandular crowding;(3) if nuclear pseudostratification occupies more than the basal half of the cryptal cells in three or more adjacent crypts,the lesion is considered high grade dysplasia;(4) if severe cytologic atypia is present,careful inspection for invasive foci is necessary,because the risk for invasion is very high;and(5) other structural or nuclear atypia should be evaluated to make a final decision such as cribriform pattern,papillae,ridges,vesicular nuclei,high nuclear/cytoplasmic ratio,loss of nuclear polarity,thick and irregular nuclear membrane,and nucleoli.展开更多

METHODS: Previously diagnosed GIM patients underwent targeted biopsy fro...AIM: To evaluate the efficacy of non-sequential narrow band imaging (NBI) for a better recognition of gastric intestinal metaplasia (GIM). METHODS: Previously diagnosed GIM patients underwent targeted biopsy from areas with and without GIM, as indicated by NBI, twice at an interval of 1 year. The authors compared the endoscopic criteria such as light blue crest (LBC), villous pattern (VP), and large long crest (LLC) with standard histology. The results from two surveillance endoscopies were compared with histology results for sensitivity, specificity, positive predic-tive value (PPV), negative predictive value (NPV), and likelihood ratio of positive test (LR+). The number of early gastric cancer cases detected was also reported. RESULTS: NBI targeted biopsy was performed in 38 and 26 patients during the first and second surveillance endoscopies, respectively. There were 2 early gastric cancers detected in the first endoscopy. No cancer was detected from the second study. Surgical and endoscopic resections were successfully performed in each patient. Sensitivity, specificity, PPV, NPV, and LR+ of all 3 endoscopic criteria during the first/second surveillances were 78.8%/91.3%, 82.5%/89.1%, 72.8%/77.8%, 86.8%/96.1, and 4.51/8.4, respectively. LBC provided the highest LR+ over VP and LLC. CONCLUSION: Nonequential NBI is useful for GIM targeted biopsy. LBC provides the most sensitive reading. However, the optimal duration between two surveillances requires further study.展开更多

In this paper, the resistances of six ships from hull 1 to hull 6 with different hull forms advancing in still water are numerically studied using the solver naoe-FOAM-SJTU, which was developed based on the open source code package OpenFOAM. Different components of the resistances are computed and compared while considering two speed conditions (12 kn and 16 kn). The resistance of hull 3 is the smallest while that of hull 5 is the largest at the same speed. The results show hull 3 is a good reference for the design of similar ships, which can provide some valuable guidelines for hull form optimization.展开更多

The phase stability was evaluated in terms of t...An attempt has been made to improve the paste stabilities both in viscosity of a hot starch paste and in phase of a starch-polyvinyl alcohol blend paste for warp sizing. The phase stability was evaluated in terms of the initial demixing time, and the volume percentage of polyvinyl alcohol separated. It was found that starch cross-linking is harmful to the phase stability of a starch-polyvinyl alcohol blend paste no matter what a type of polyvinyl alcohol is used, although the cross-linking is an effective technique for stabilizing the viscosity of a hot starch paste. The separation rate and extent all increase with the increase in the cross-linking degree of starch. However, this defect can be eliminated through introducing quaternary ammonium groups into crosslinked starch molecules. Evident effect can be achieved when the degree of substitution is as less as 0.021. Generally, increase in the DS reduces the separation rate and extent, and thereby raising the phase stability. Moreover, the effects of both starch content and PVA type on the separation are also considered. Cationization after starch cross-linking shows improved stabilities both in viscosity and phase.展开更多

METHODS: EpCAM +ve cells were isolated using magnetic cell sorting (MACS) from human fetuses (n = 10) at 15-25 wk gestation. Expression of markers for hepatic progenitors such as albumin, alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), CD29 (integrin ~1), CD49f (integrin c^6) and CD90 (Thy 1) was studied by using flow cytometry, immunocytochemistry and RT-PCR; HLA class Ⅰ (A, B, C) and class Ⅱ (DR) expression was studied by flow cytometry only. RESULTS: FACS analysis indicated that EpCAM +ve cells were positive for CD29, CD49f, CD90, CD34, HLA class I, albumin and AFP but negative for HLA class Ⅱ (DR) and CD45. RT PCR showed that EpCAM +ve cells expressed liver epithelial markers (CK18), biliary specific marker (CK19) and hepatic markers (albumin, AFP). On immunocytochemical staining, EpCAM +ve cells were shown positive signals for CK18 and albumin. CONCLUSION: Our study suggests that these EpCAM +ve cells can be used as hepatic progenitors for cell transplantation with a minimum risk of alloreactivity and these cells may serve as a potential source for enrichment of hepatic progenitor.展开更多
Objective To investigate the effect of microRNA-205 reduction by antagomirs on adhesion ability of normal human corneal epithelial keratinocytes(NHCEKs).Methods Antagomir-205,complementary and inhibitory to microRNA-2...Objective To investigate the effect of microRNA-205 reduction by antagomirs on adhesion ability of normal human corneal epithelial keratinocytes(NHCEKs).Methods Antagomir-205,complementary and inhibitory to microRNA-205,was used to suppress endogenous microRNA-205 in NHCEKs.The adhesion ability of treated NHCEKs was then assessed by cell adhesion assay.Immunoblot and immunohistochemistry were conducted to determine the level of two focal adhesion-related proteins,focal adhesion kinase(FAK) and paxillin(Pax).Phalloidin staining was performed to measure the level of filamentous actin in antagomir-treated NHCEKs.Results Antagomir-205 markedly reduced the level of microRNA-205 in NHCEKs and significantly enhanced adhesion ability of NHCEKs(P<0.01).Further protein analysis validated that inhibition of mi-croRNA-205 increased the number of phosphorylated FAK and phosphorylated Pax,and decreased filamen-tous actin.Conclusion Our findings suggest that microRNA-205 has down-regulating effect on cell motility in NHCEKs.展开更多

METHODS: The adher...AIM: To assess the adhesion and invasion abilities of different mouse adapted H py/or/strains in different cell lines in vitro and investigate their effects on the virulence factors cagA and vacA. METHODS: The adherence and invasion abilities of different N pylori strains in different epithelial cell lines were examined by the gentamycin protection assay. The null mutants of cagA and vacA were processed by direct PCR mutation method. The morphologic changes of different cell lines after N pylori attachment were examined by microscopy. RESULTS: The densities of adherence to and invasion into cells in vitro were different from those in the mouse infection experiments. 88-3887 strain could invade and adhere to cells stronger than SS1 and X47. All tested strains had better adhering and invasive abilities in SCG-7901 cell. CagA and vacA minus mutants had the same invasion and adherent abilities as their wild types. In all strains and cell lines tested, only AGS cell had the significant hummingbird phenotype after inoculation with the 88-3887 wild-type. CONCLUSION: Both the host cells and the bacteria play important parts in the invasion and adhesion abilities of Hpylori. CagA and VacA are not related to the ability of invasion and adhesion of Hpylori in different cell lines in vitro.展开更多

The affections of process conditions and quantity of pelagic clay to the properties of composites were analyzed by testing their mechanical properties, thermo stability and barrier properties. According to test the structure of composites, it is indicated that pelagic clay has good compatibility with HDPE. The result shows that the pelagic clay can improve mechanical properties, thermo stability and barrier properties of HDPE properties effectively.展开更多

Met...Objective: The aim of the study was to explore the individual detection significances of small breast epithelial mucin (SBEM) and human mammaglobin (hMAM) in peripheral blood (PB) of breast cancer patients. Methods: SBEM and hMAM expressions in PB samples of 109 primary breast cancer patients were detected by flow cytometry (FCM) and RT- PCR. Relationship between the biomarkers' expression and prognostic parameters were analyzed. Results: SBEM and hMAM expressions in PB of breast cancer patients were much higher than those of healthy donors and other cancer patients. SBEM and hMAM expressed in 53.2% (50/94) and 39.4% (37/94) cases at stages I-III and expressed in 73.3% (11/15) and 46.7% (7/15) cases at stage IV respectively. SBEM and hMAM mRNA were only detected in PB samples of breast cancer patients, while no expression of them was found in that of healthy donors and other cancer patients. Conclusion: hMAM mRNA detection maybe helpful to predict hematogenous micrometastasis in ER-positive, well-differentiated breast cancers and SBEM mRNA detection maybe helpful to predict hematogenous micrometastasis in ER-negative, poody-differentiated breast cancers.展开更多

The further studies show the negative relation is more significant in the state-owned listed companies,which proved our speculation that the manager will cut expenses avoiding significant decline in performance when the sales decline in the state-owned listed company.展开更多

文摘Objective To investigate the effect of microRNA-205 reduction by antagomirs on adhesion ability of normal human corneal epithelial keratinocytes(NHCEKs).Methods Antagomir-205,complementary and inhibitory to microRNA-205,was used to suppress endogenous microRNA-205 in NHCEKs.The adhesion ability of treated NHCEKs was then assessed by cell adhesion assay.Immunoblot and immunohistochemistry were conducted to determine the level of two focal adhesion-related proteins,focal adhesion kinase(FAK) and paxillin(Pax).Phalloidin staining was performed to measure the level of filamentous actin in antagomir-treated NHCEKs.Results Antagomir-205 markedly reduced the level of microRNA-205 in NHCEKs and significantly enhanced adhesion ability of NHCEKs(P<0.01).Further protein analysis validated that inhibition of mi-croRNA-205 increased the number of phosphorylated FAK and phosphorylated Pax,and decreased filamen-tous actin.Conclusion Our findings suggest that microRNA-205 has down-regulating effect on cell motility in NHCEKs.

文摘AIM: To assess the adhesion and invasion abilities of different mouse adapted H py/or/strains in different cell lines in vitro and investigate their effects on the virulence factors cagA and vacA. METHODS: The adherence and invasion abilities of different N pylori strains in different epithelial cell lines were examined by the gentamycin protection assay. The null mutants of cagA and vacA were processed by direct PCR mutation method. The morphologic changes of different cell lines after N pylori attachment were examined by microscopy. RESULTS: The densities of adherence to and invasion into cells in vitro were different from those in the mouse infection experiments. 88-3887 strain could invade and adhere to cells stronger than SS1 and X47. All tested strains had better adhering and invasive abilities in SCG-7901 cell. CagA and vacA minus mutants had the same invasion and adherent abilities as their wild types. In all strains and cell lines tested, only AGS cell had the significant hummingbird phenotype after inoculation with the 88-3887 wild-type. CONCLUSION: Both the host cells and the bacteria play important parts in the invasion and adhesion abilities of Hpylori. CagA and VacA are not related to the ability of invasion and adhesion of Hpylori in different cell lines in vitro.
文摘In order to improve the properties of HDPE, the authors used the method of suspended diffusion for purification the pelagic clay, used silane coupling agent to increase its organic activation, and prepared the composites of organic pelagic clay/HDPE by inching them in different conditions. The affections of process conditions and quantity of pelagic clay to the properties of composites were analyzed by testing their mechanical properties, thermo stability and barrier properties. According to test the structure of composites, it is indicated that pelagic clay has good compatibility with HDPE. The result shows that the pelagic clay can improve mechanical properties, thermo stability and barrier properties of HDPE properties effectively.
文摘Objective: The aim of the study was to explore the individual detection significances of small breast epithelial mucin (SBEM) and human mammaglobin (hMAM) in peripheral blood (PB) of breast cancer patients. Methods: SBEM and hMAM expressions in PB samples of 109 primary breast cancer patients were detected by flow cytometry (FCM) and RT- PCR. Relationship between the biomarkers' expression and prognostic parameters were analyzed. Results: SBEM and hMAM expressions in PB of breast cancer patients were much higher than those of healthy donors and other cancer patients. SBEM and hMAM expressed in 53.2% (50/94) and 39.4% (37/94) cases at stages I-III and expressed in 73.3% (11/15) and 46.7% (7/15) cases at stage IV respectively. SBEM and hMAM mRNA were only detected in PB samples of breast cancer patients, while no expression of them was found in that of healthy donors and other cancer patients. Conclusion: hMAM mRNA detection maybe helpful to predict hematogenous micrometastasis in ER-positive, well-differentiated breast cancers and SBEM mRNA detection maybe helpful to predict hematogenous micrometastasis in ER-negative, poody-differentiated breast cancers.
文摘This paper studies Whether the managerial overconfidence have any impact on the Cost management (Characterized by the degree of the Costs Stickiness ) .Using the ample of the A-share listed companies between 2007-2011 in China, We document that SG&A cost stickiness decreases in the degree of overconfidence. The further studies show the negative relation is more significant in the state-owned listed companies,which proved our speculation that the manager will cut expenses avoiding significant decline in performance when the sales decline in the state-owned listed company.
