The thesis discusses the way of vocabulary teaching in the English course of intensive reading through analysis on the importance of vocabulary teaching. The paper argues that the effective ways to enlarge students' vocabulary are: to train students to figure out and memorize words by applying various learning strategies; to guide students to recognize the plates of English language; to instruct them to learn new words through the methodology of comparison and association, and to learn through exercises. 展开更多
