The model of predicting the strength of filling material was established by applying the theory of artificial neural net- works. Based on cases related to our test data of filling material, the predicted results of the model and measured values are com- pared and analyzed. The results show that the model is feasible and scientifically justified to predict the strength of filling material, which provides a new method for forecasting the strength of filling material for paste filling in coal mines. 展开更多

Metal matrix composites reinforced with graphite particles provide better machinability and tribological properties. The present study attempts to find the optimal level of machining parameters for multi-performance characteristics in turning of Al-SiC-Gr hybrid composites using grey-fuzzy algorithm. The hybrid composites with 5%, 7.5% and 10% combined equal mass fraction of SiC-Gr particles were used for the study and their corresponding tensile strength values are 170, 210, 204 MPa respectively. Al-10%(SiC-Gr) hybrid composite provides better machinability when compared with composites with 5% and 7.5% of SiC-Gr. Grey-fuzzy logic approach offers improved grey-fuzzy reasoning grade and has less uncertainties in the output when compared with grey relational technique. The confirmatory test reveals an increase in grey-fuzzy reasoning grade from 0.619 to 0.891, which substantiates the improvement in multi-performance characteristics at the optimal level of process parameters setting. 展开更多

The fundamental task of mining engineers is to produce more coal at a given level of labour input and material costs, for optimum quality and maximum efficiency. To achieve these goals, it is necessary to automate and mechanize mining operations. Mechanization is an objective that can result in significant cost reduction and higher levels of profitability for underground mines. To analyze the potential of mechanization, some important factors such as seam inclination and thickness, geological disturbances, seam floor conditions and roof conditions should be considered. In this study we have used fuzzy logic, membership functions and created fuzzy rule-based methods and considered the ultimate objective: mechanization of mining. As a case study, the mechanization of the Tazare coal seams in Shahroud area of Iran was investigated. The results show a low potential for mechanization in most of the Tazare coal seams. 展开更多

In the present paper, Charpy impact resistance of aluminum-epoxy laminated composites in both crack divider and crack ar-rester configurations has been investigated. In both configurations, an analytical investigation has been carried out to evaluate the effects of layers thickness on impact resistance of the specimens. A model based on fuzzy logic for predicting impact re-sistance of the specimens has been presented. For purpose of building the model, training and testing using experimental re-sults from 126 specimens produced from two basic composites were conducted. The data used for the input data in fuzzy logic models are arranged in a format of 7 input parameters that cover the thickness of layers, the number of layers, the adhesive type, the crack tip configuration, the content of SiC particles, the content of methacrylated butadiene-styrene particles and the number of test trial. According to these input parameters, in the fuzzy logic model, the impact resistance of each specimen was predicted. The training and testing results in the fuzzy logic model have shown a strong potential for predicting impact resis-tance of aluminum-epoxy laminated composites. 展开更多
