Optical fiber acceleration seismometer as an important instrument can offer high sensitivity, anti-jamming and non-touched advantage which has an extensive application field. Its signal processing ability will decide whole system’s performance to some extent because it will affect directly the factors such as resolving power, precision and dynamic range. The signal processing is usually realized by analog circuits which was more inferior in stability, flexibility and anti-jamming to digital processing system. A digital processing system of optical fiber acceleration seismometer has been designed based on the embedded system design scheme. Synthetic-heterodyne demodulation has been studied, and signal processing has been realized. The double processors of ARM and DSP are employed to implement respectively the system control and signal processing, and to provide the output interfaces such as LCD, DAC and Ethernet interface. This system can vary with the measured signal in real time and linearly, and its work frequency bandwidth is between 10Hz and 1kHz. The system has better anti-jamming ability and can work normally when the SNR is 40dB. 展开更多

Such a realizable design for a completely open cavity (i.e., without any reflective wall in the radial direction) is the first of its kind ever been reported. Due to the negative effective refraction index of the photonic crystal and the high transmission at the photonic crystal/air interfaces, a closed path with zero optical path is formed for the resonance. The present open cavity is very suitable for use as a biosensor as it has large air wedges into which a liquid measurand can flow easily. 展开更多

Stability assessment of slopes has historically been performed assuming soils to be homogeneous in two-dimensional(2D) cases. In real cases, soils are usually inhomogeneous, and each slope collapse indicates a three-dimensional(3D) nature. Based on a 3D rotational failure mechanism, this work develops an approach to account for the impact of the vertical strength inhomogeneity on the 3D stability of stepped slopes. Seismic actions are taken into account by introducing the concept of a horizontal seismic coefficient. An upper-bound expression for stability factors is derived in the light of the kinematic approach, and the most critical solution is obtained from an optimization programming. In comparison with the previously published solutions, the validity of the proposed method is shown. A sensitivity analysis is carried out to discuss parametric effects on the stability of 3D stepped inhomogeneous slopes. 展开更多

In order to speed up and simplify the design of the quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)and carry out experimental simulation and verification of relevant control algorithms,this paper analyzed the system dynamics model of the mechanical structure and flight principle of the quadrotor aircraft,and used the Newton-Euler method to derive the non-linear dynamic equations.Aiming at improving the modeling accuracy and system integrity of the quadrotor,the physical system modeling was combined with the CAD software and the Matlab/Simscape toolbox.The three-dimensional quadrotor solid model built by CAD software was imported into the Simscape simulation platform to construct the body and power system model of the quadrotor.Based on this,the control algorithm designed by Simulink was added to the simulation platform to facilitate the experiment verification and parameter tuning.The simulation results show that the designed aircraft can achieve hover and tracking well and meet the control performance requirements of the system. 展开更多

The technique of precise point positioning (PPP) is gradually becoming a popular method in GPS data-processing. In GPS observation equation, the unknown parameters can be separated into two parts: global parameters and local parameters. The global parameters include orbit, satellite clock and geodynamic parameters. The local parameters are site-occupation-specific, such as position, tropospheric delay, etc. The formulas of local parameters are firstly derived under the network-solution and the PPP-solution conditions respectively. If the weight matrix of global parameters in PPP-solution is small enough, the cofactor matrices of local parameters are the same as that in network-solution. Then, 16 daily solutions are obtained in both PPP mode and network mode. Three sites are selected to compare the solutions. The experimental results demonstrated that the difference between two solutions in coordinates and tropospheric delays are only few millimeters. This level of difference can be neglected so that the solutions from both PPP mode and network mode can be taken as the same in the actual application. 展开更多

As expounded in some recent mathematical conferences, this research on that amazing source of algebraic ideas known as Fermat's equation is aimed to prove how Fermat triples can be limited until the impossible existence through a criterion of incompatible parities related to unexplored properties of the binomial coefficients. In this paper, the authors use a technique based on the analysis of four numbers and their internal relations with three basic compulsory factors. It leads to the practical impossibility to find any triple of natural numbers candidate to satisfy Fermat's equation, because when the authors try to meet a condition between parity and range the authors are compelled to violate the other one, so that they are irreducibly alternative. In particular, there is a parity violation when the authors choose all the basic factors in the allowed range and the authors obtain exceeding values of one of the involved variables when the authors try to restore the parity. Since Fermat's last theorem would consequently be demonstrated, many readers could recall the never found elementary proof of FLT (Fermat's last theorem) claimed by Pierre de Fermat. The authors are not encouraging such an interpretation because this paper is intended as a journey into Fermat's equation and the reader's attitude should be towards the algebraic achievements here proposed, with their possible hidden flaws and future developments, rather than to legendary problems like Fermat's riddle. 展开更多
