Combined the LS-SVM with the Multi-Resolution Analysis (MRA),this letter proposes the Multi-resolution LS-SVM (MLS-SVM).The proposed algorithm has the same theoretical framework as MRA but with better approximation ability.At a fixed scale MLS-SVM is a classical LS-SVM,but MLS-SVM can gradually approximate the target function at different scales.In experiments,the MLS-SVM is used for nonlinear system identification,and achieves better identification accuracy. 展开更多

Based on the second integrable ease of known two-dimensional Hamiltonian system with a quartie potentiM, we propose a 4 × 4 matrix speetrM problem and derive a hierarchy of coupled KdV equations and their Hamiltonian structures. It is shown that solutions of the coupled KdV equations in the hierarchy are reduced to solving two compatible systems of ordinary differentiM equations. As an application, quite a few explicit solutions of the coupled KdV equations are obtained via using separability for the second integrable ease of the two-dimensional Hamiltonian system. 展开更多

This paper addresses overall performance analysis of coal-fired power unit. From the point of view of system engineering, a general steam-water distribution equation of the thermal plant system is presented. This system state equation is an exact expression combining system topological structure and system properties. Through proper mathematic transform, the inner relationship and interaction between the main system and auxiliary system are revealed and its general form is given. An analytical formula for the heat consumption rote of thermal power plant is one direct fruit of the equation, which greatly facilitate the online analyzing and optimizing of complex thermal system. The new approach, with the aid of modem data acquiring technology, is a perfect extension of the traditional analysis method based on the First Law of Thermodynamics. 展开更多

A robust nonlinear control method is presented for spacecraft precise formation flying.With the constraint forces and consid-ering nonlinearity and perturbations,the problem of the formation keeping is changed to the Lagrange systems with the holonomic constraints and the differential algebraic equations (DAE).The nonlinear control laws are developed by solving the DAE.Because the traditional numerical solving methods of DAE are very sensitive to the various errors and the resulting con-trol laws are not robust in engineering application,the robust control law designed method is further developed by designing the correct coefficients to correct the errors of the formation array constraints.A numeral study simulated the robustness of this method for the various errors in the formation flying mission,including the initial errors of spacecraft formation,the reference satellite orbit determination errors,the relative perturbation forces model errors,and so on. 展开更多
