We consider the escape of the particles multi-state noise. It is shown that, the noise can make over fluctuating potential barrier for a system only driven by a the particles escape over the fluctuating potential barrier in some circumstances; but in other circumstances, it can not. If the noise can make the particle escape over the fluctuating potential barrier, the mean first passage time (MFPT) can display the phenomenon of multi-resonant-activation. For this phenomenon, there are two kinds of resonant activation to appear. One is resonant activation for the MFPTs as the function of the flipping rates of the fluctuating potential barrier; the other is that for the MFPTs as the functions of the transition rates of the multi-state noise. 展开更多

And a novel method comparing real-time acquisition of probe wave power with a new algorithm to realize probe wave power normalization for eliminating this impact was proposed. The principle of the proposed method was described theoretically. And the contrast test between our new method and conventional one was carried out. The experiment results indicated that the temperature accuracy was effectively improved from +5 C to 2 C. 展开更多

Environmentally clean photovoltaic(PV)generation has found wider application,but the power f luctuation generated from PV can negatively impact the operation of power system.A properly designed energy storage system(ESS)can stabilize power system by absorbing and injecting instantaneous power.Suitable control strategy of ESS is studied in order to accommodate the power f luctuation.It adopts negative feedback which considers the relationship between real power and voltage in the distribution network because resistor is comparable to reactance of the lines in the distribution network.A universal model of ESS is established,the characteristic parameters such as time-delay of system response,limitation of charging and discharging and restraint of energy storage capacity are taken into account.The validity of the proposed model is verif ied by user-def ined modules in power system analysis software package(PSASP).The operation of PV generation at Wuhan Railway Station in both grid-connected mode and island mode at Wuhan Railway Station is analyzed in detail.The performances of the local distribution network with PV under different weather conditions are summarized,and the key parameter of ESS suitable for PV generation at Wuhan Railway Station is also recommended. 展开更多

In order to study and ... The effect of SiO2 particles on heat transfer performance of a pulsating heat pipe (PHP) was investigated experi- mentally. DI water was used as the base fluid and contrast medium for the PHP. In order to study and measure the character, there are SiO2/H20 nanofluids with different concentration and applying with various heating powers during the experiment investigation. According to the experimental result, the high fraction of SiO2/H20 will de- teriorate the performance of PHP compared with DI water, i.e. the thermal resistance and the temperature of evaporation section increases. It is in contrary in the case of low fraction of SiO2/H20. Finally, the comparison of the thermal performances between the normal operation system and the static settlement system is given. It is found that both the thermal resistance of nanofluid PHP and the temperature of the evaporation section increase after standing for a period, and it is the same trend for the temperature fluctuation at the identical heating power for PHP. 展开更多

In order to increase the coupling efficiency and suppress the random angular jitter induced by atmosphere turbulent, the fine tracking system with fast steering mirror (FSM) is demonstrated. The field experiment results of free-space optical communication link across 16 km show that when there is no tracking, the range of the x-axis coordinates' fluctuation achieves 46 pixels, corresponding to the incident angle of 73.6 μrad, and its mean square deviation is 6.5 pixels, corre- sponding to the incident angle of 10.4/.trad. When there is tracking, the range of fiuctuation is suppressed to 10 pixels and 16 ktrad, and the mean square deviation reduces to 1.5 pixels and 2.6 brad for the spot's centroid and the incident angle, respectively. Significantly, the coupling efficiency increases by 6 times, and the fluctuation of received light power decreases obviously. 展开更多
