In light of the high nonlinearity of LuGre friction model, a novel method based on ant colony algorithm(ACA) for identifying the friction parameters of flight simulation servo system is proposed. ACA is a parallelized bionic optimization algorithm inspired from the behavior of real ants, and a kind of positive feedback mechanism is adopted in ACA. On the basis of brief introduction of LuGre friction model, a method for identifying the static LuGre friction parameters and the dynamic LuGre friction parameters using ACA is derived. Finally, this new friction parameter identification scheme is applied to a electric-driven flight simulation servo system with high precision. Simulation and application results verify the feasibility and the effectiveness of the scheme. It provides a new way to identify the friction parameters of LuGre model. 展开更多

A novel approach was proposed to allocate spinning reserve for dynamic economic dispatch.The proposed approach set up a two-stage stochastic programming model to allocate reserve.The model was solved using a decomposed algorithm based on Benders' decomposition.The model and the algorithm were applied to a simple 3-node system and an actual 445-node system for verification,respectively.Test results show that the model can save 84.5 US $ cost for the testing three-node system,and the algorithm can solve the model for 445-node system within 5 min.The test results also illustrate that the proposed approach is efficient and suitable for large system calculation. 展开更多

Estimating the global position of a road vehicle without using GPS is a challenge that many scientists look forward to solving in the near future. Normally, inertial and odometry sensors are used to complement GPS measures in an attempt to provide a means for maintaining vehicle odometry during GPS outage. Nonetheless, recent experiments have demonstrated that computer vision can also be used as a valuable source to provide what can be denoted as visual odometry. For this purpose, vehicle motion can be estimated using a non-linear, photogrametric approach based on RAndom SAmple Consensus (RANSAC). The results prove that the detection and selection of relevant feature points is a crucial factor in the global performance of the visual odometry algorithm. The key issues for further improvement are discussed in this letter. 展开更多

The IMC structure of the system is derived, and its robust stability and zero steady state error characteristics are analyzed. After the description of the mathematics model and the calculating procedure of immune based scheduling,some examples are tested in the software system called HM IM& C that is developed usingVC+ +6.0. Landslide hazard mapping is a fundamental tool for disaster management activities in Loess terrains. Aiming at major issues with these landslide hazard assessment methods based on Naive Bayesian classification technique, which is difficult in quantifying those uncertain triggering factors, the main purpose of this work is to evaluate the predictive power of landslide spatial models based on uncertain Naive Bayesian classification method in Baota district of Yan'an city in Shaanxi province, China. Firstly, thematic maps representing various factors that are related to landslide activity were generated. Secondly, by using field data and GIS techniques, a landslide hazard map was performed. To improve the accuracy of the resulting landslide hazard map, the strategies were designed, which quantified the uncertain triggering factor to design landslide spatial models based on uncertain Naive Bayesian classification method named NBU algorithm. The accuracies of the area under relative operating characteristics curves(AUC) in NBU and Naive Bayesian algorithm are 87.29% and 82.47% respectively. Thus, NBU algorithm can be used efficiently for landslide hazard analysis and might be widely used for the prediction of various spatial events based on uncertain classification technique. 展开更多

This paper presents a scenario of forest fire suppression using UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) and addresses task assignment algorithm to coordinate UAVs. Forest fires are a major problem in many nations and fast extinguishing forest fires brings a lot of ecological advantages so proper use of firefighting resources is very critical. In this sense, multi UAVs forest fire suppression system can be effective way to prevent fire outbreaks. In multi agent system, an appropriate task assignment according to the SA (Situational Awareness) is the most essential to conduct mission. We should consider real time re-planning or re-scheduling of multi UAVs team because environmental situations such as wind are changeable and that changes affect the forest fire spreading. Furthermore, we have to think about convergence to a consistent SA because it may take too much time. CBBA (Consensus-Based Bundle Algorithm) is robust decentralized task assignment tool so it can be implemented in real time re-planning application. A simulation model which is the main topic in this paper shows that multi UAVs can be properly operated to suppress forest fires even if there are unpredictable random factors and partial disconnection. The simulation model includes concrete operating scenarios and recursive task re-assign algorithm until fires in the whole area are suppressed. 展开更多

Self-positioning of a shearer is the key technology for mining with a man-less working face. In an underground coal mine all radio navigation; satellite positioning or celestial navigation methods have their limitations. We analyzed an inertial navi-gation system intended to guide the movement a shearer and designed a self-positioning device for the shearer. Simulation tests were also performed on the system. We analyzed the errors observed in these tests to show that the main reason for the low preci-sion of the self-positioning system is accumulated error in the inertial sensor. A Kalman filtering algorithm used in combination with the shearer motion model effectively reduces the measurement errors of the self-positioning system by compensating for gyroscopic drift. Finally, we built an error compensation model to reduce accumulated errors using continuous correction to provide self-positioning of the shearer within a certain range of accuracy. 展开更多

A distributed deadlock detection algorithm for mobile computing system

The mode of mobile computing originated from distributed computing and it has the un-idempotent operation property, therefore the deadlock detection algorithm designed for mobile computing systems will face challenges with regard to correctness and high efficiency. This paper attempts a fundamental study of deadlock detection for the AND model of mobile computing systems. First, the existing deadlock detection algorithms for distributed systems are classified into the resource node dependent (RD) and the resource node independent (RI) categories, and their corresponding weaknesses are discussed. Afterwards a new RI algorithm based on the AND model of mobile computing system is presented. The novelties of our algorithm are that: 1) the blocked nodes inform their predecessors and successors simultaneously; 2) the detection messages (agents) hold the predecessors information of their originator; 3) no agent is stored midway. Additionally, the quit-inform scheme is introduced to treat the excessive victim quitting problem raised by the overlapped cycles. By these methods the proposed algorithm can detect a cycle of size n within n-2 steps and with (n^2-n-2)/2 agents. The performance of our algorithm is compared with the most competitive RD and RI algorithms for distributed systems on a mobile agent simulation platform. Experiment results point out that our algorithm outperforms the two algorithms under the vast majority of resource configurations and concurrent workloads. The correctness of the proposed algorithm is formally proven by the invariant verification technique. 展开更多

Data-driven soft sensor is an effective solution to provide rapid and reliable estimations for key quality variables online. The secondary variables affect the primary variable in considerably different speed, and soft sensor systems exhibit multi-dynamic characteristics. Thus, the first contribution is improving the model in the previous study with multi-time-constant. The characteristics-separation-based model will be identified in substep way,and the stochastic Newton recursive(SNR) algorithm is adopted. Considering the dual-rate characteristics of soft sensor systems, the proposed model cannot be identified directly. Thus, two auxiliary models are first proposed to offer the intersample estimations at each update period, based on which the improved algorithm(DAM-SNR) is derived. These two auxiliary models function in switching mechanism which has been illustrated in detail. This algorithm serves for the identification of the proposed model together with the SNR algorithm, and the identification procedure is then presented. Finally, the laboratorial case confirms the effectiveness of the proposed soft sensor model and the algorithms. 展开更多

A fast algorithm is proposed in this paper to solve this problem, in which real-time values are modulated to bit streams to simplify the multiplication. In addition, manipulated variables in the prediction horizon are deduced to the current control horizon approximately by a recursive relation to decrease the dimension of QR optimization. In this paper,we present a dynamic alarm prediction algorithm, which is a probabilistic model that utilizes alarm data from distributed control system, to calculate the occurrence probability of critical alarms. It accounts for the local interdependences among the alarms using the n-gram model, which occur because of the nonlinear relationships between variables. The localization results under different values of Gaussian white noise and different density of beacon nodes are analyzes, and Kalman filtering algorithm is introduced to reduce the influence of signal noise. Finally, a simulation model of ITS is developed to test the algorithm based on mixed noise and Kalman filtering algorithm, which is used to simulate the localization of real vehicles. In the evaluation of the necessary measurement of aeronautical means to face to a certain military operative problem, the development of an appropriate tool is of importance. Conventional techniques are considered inadequate in the analysis of military operative problems in presence of a self-attrition behavior from one of the involved parts. In this paper a traditional algorithm for measuring military power is implemented and analyzed and then we improve this traditional algorithm on the basis of the kind of degradation that systematically takes place in self-destructive systems. In terms of traditional analysis, the evolution of a war is essentially an unreal sequence of repetitive cycles. So a time-dependent function was introduced in improved the algorithm. The development of this tool of prediction has the aim to argue the management of taking decisions in this type of crisis and complements itself with historical arguments or references of rigor. A computer software show results that allows to estimate the costs of the support and to visualize the graphs associated with the degradation of the system and his temporary evolution. The improved algorithm is more suitable than the traditional one in software simulations. 展开更多

Petri net is an important tool to model and analyze concurrent systems,but Petri net models are frequently large and complex,and difficult to understand and modify.Slicing is a technique to remove unnecessary parts with respect to a criterion for analyzing programs,and has been widely used in specification level for model reduction,but researches on slicing of Petri nets are still limited.According to the idea of program slicing,this paper extends slicing technologies of Petri nets to four kinds of slices,including backward static slice,backward dynamic slice,forward static slice and forward dynamic slice.Based on the structure properties,the algorithms of obtaining two kinds of static slice are constructed.Then,a new method of slicing backward dynamic slice is proposed based on local reachability graph which can locally reflect the dynamic properties of Petri nets.At last,forward dynamic slice can be obtained through the reachability marking graph under a special marking.The algorithms can be used to reduce the size of Petri net,which can provide the basic technical support for simplifying the complexity of formal verification and analysis. 展开更多

To solve the problem that in parametric drawing systems, unreasonable parameter values in a parametric model often result in an improper shape of a geometric object, this paper proposes a novel algebraic algorithm for determining the valid range of parameter values in certain 2-dimensional parametric drawing systems. This algorithm can solve valid range of parameters such as radius and coordinate of centre points of parametric models with only linear segments and circles. The result of the study shows that all values within the valid range provided by this algorithm can ensure that the topological shape of a geometric object does not change after reconstruction, and to some extent, this algorithm can significantly promote the efficiency of parametric drawing system design and the intel- lectual level of human-computer interaction. The analysis shows that complexity of this algorithm is O(n2). 展开更多
