Each security domain has its own security servers and service providers, and there are trust relationships between different security domains for identity federation. The security server is responsible for authentication and authorization inside the domain, and offers identity federation capability for different domains. The security assertion markup language (SAML) assertion is used as security token in the system for authentication, authorization, and identity federation. The design of the proposed single sign-on process is based on web service security framework and multiple security domains, and the authorization is always deployed in the local area inside the service provider' s security domain, which enables web service clients, both inside and outside their security domains, to access the services in a simple, scalable, standard and secure way.展开更多

The required foundation system is most often deep, it is expensive and its cost increases significantly when the building is located in earthquake area or in mining damage sector. The proposed structural system of the combined foundation makes possible to design and to construct a very stable and relative inexpensive foundation structure, which can obtain an extremely large horizontal surface and which can be placed not deeply beneath the terrain level. It can be a very solid support structure for a tall building placed on very weak subsoil and at the same time located in seismic area. This system can be applied not only for new buildings but it can be used for the existing buildings and moreover for straighten of the inclined objects. Due to special arrangement of component parts the combined foundation possesses inherent features of a vibration damper, what is highly desirable if buildings have to be located in earthquake areas. When the aboveground storeys structure has some similar patterns with structural form of the combined foundation then the structural system of the whole building obtains coherent structural characteristics and it is called the combined structural system of the tall building. Unfortunately, the current devices are not designed to communicate with the col...In Internet of Things(IoT), the devices or terminals are connected with each other, which can be very diverse over the wireless networks. Unfortunately, the current devices are not designed to communicate with the collocated devices which employ different communication technologies. Consequently, the communication between these devices will be realized only by using the gateway nodes. This will cause the inefficient use of wireless resources. Therefore, in this paper, a smart service system(SSS) architecture is proposed, which consists of smart service terminal(SST), and smart service network(SSN), to realize the Io T in a general environment with diverse communication networks, devices, and services. The proposed architecture has the following advantages: i) the devices in this architecture cover multiple types of terminals and sensor-actuator devices; ii) the communications network therein is a converged network, and will coordinate multiple kinds of existing and emerging networks. This converged network offers ubiquitous access for various sensors and terminals; iii) the architecture has services and applications covering all smart service areas. It also provides theadaptability to new services and applications. A SSS architecture-based smart campus system was developed and deployed. Evaluation experiments of the proposed smart campus system demonstrate the SSS's advantages over the existing counterparts, and verify the effectiveness of the proposed architecture.展开更多
Information was a frequently used concept in many fields of investigation. However, this concept is still not really understood, when it is referred for instance to consciousness and its informational structure. In th...Information was a frequently used concept in many fields of investigation. However, this concept is still not really understood, when it is referred for instance to consciousness and its informational structure. In this paper it is followed the concept of information from philosophical to physics perspective, showing especially how this concept could be extended to matter in general and to the living in particular, as a result of the intimate interaction between matter and information, the human body appearing as a bipolar informed-matter structure. It is detailed on this way how this concept could be referred to consciousness, and an informational modeling of consciousness as an informational system of the human body is presented. Based on the anatomic architecture of the organism and on the inference of the specific information concepts, it is shown that the informational system of the human body could be described by seven informational subsystems, which are reflected in consciousness as corresponding cognitive centers. These results are able to explain the main properties of consciousness, both the cognitive and extra-cognitive properties of the mind, like that observed during the near-death experiences and other similar phenomena. Moreover, the results of such a modeling are compared with the existing empirical concepts and models on the energetic architecture of the organism, showing their relevance for the understanding of consciousness.展开更多

This harmonious coexisting link is very strong for systems in tensegrity state, commonly called "tensegrity systems". It is currently apparent that, among the tensegrity systems, there also exist cable-bar cells with a discontinuous network of cables. It is possible to design a separate set of cables inside the cable-bar elementary cell and to establish a self-stress state of equilibrium. In this connection, the author of this paper suggested to assume a new Class-Theta tensegrity systems. Each of the basic tensegrity systems termed Class-Theta possesses an external and internal set of tension components. The shape of Greek capital letter 69 (Theta) reflects two sets of such components (two sets of tendons, cables, etc.). This notation corresponds to Skelton's Class-k tensegrity structure. As shown in this paper, the Class-Theta tensegrity cell can exemplify a geometrically and practically useful form for the lightweight and long-span modular structures, mainly but not only in view of civil engineering and architecture.展开更多

One of them is the complexity of its steel connections, responsible for the joint of bar elements, compounding a complex structural system, which requires the application of the CYPECAD software version 2007 to solve the calculations problems. Its efficiency was confirmed by a variety of laboratory tests carried out with the whole structure. The tree-shaped is a timber structure that can be used in a large number of destinations, including residences, malls, sheds, hangars, etc.. Originally, it was conceived based on the well-known masterpiece "Sagrada Familia", whose author was Architect Antoni Gaudi I Cornet (1852-1926) in Barcelona/Spain. It was designed at the end of 19th century and its construction is still not finished. Gaudi inverted the logical order of the gothic concepts, i.e., light weights below and heavy weights above. Based on this concept, he always had in mind the figure of a tree in nature. The tree-shaped follows the same idea, using timber pieces connected by steel plates. Theoretical and numerical analyses have shown its efficiency and lightness for use in timber structures.展开更多

A new power estimation method is proposed for base station(BS) in this paper.Based on this method,a software platform for power estimation is developed.The proposed method models power consumption on different abstrac...A new power estimation method is proposed for base station(BS) in this paper.Based on this method,a software platform for power estimation is developed.The proposed method models power consumption on different abstraction levels by splitting a typical base station into several basic components at different levels in the view of embedded system design.In particular,our focus is on baseband IC(Integrate Circuit) due to it's the dominant power consumer in small cells.Baseband power model is based on arithmetic computing costs of selected algorithms.All computing and storage costs are calibrated using algorithm complexity,hardware architecture,activity ratio,silicon technology,and overheads on all hierarchies.Micro architecture and IC technology are considered.The model enables power comparison of different types of base stations configured with different baseband algorithms,micro architectures,and ICs.The model also supports cellular operators in power estimation of different deployment strategies and transmission schemes.The model is verified by comparing power consumption with a real LTE base station.By exposing more configuration freedoms,the platform can be used for power estimation of current and future base stations.展开更多

We investigate the fe...Present mobile communication system suffers from the exponentially increased mobile traffic and research on the fifth generation(5G) mobile network architectures is ongoing to solve this problem. We investigate the feasibility of the proposals used for the network architecture evolution from 4G to 5G and first propose a compatible network architecture, which decouples the management plane, the control plane and the user plane based on NO Stack framework proposed in our previous study. We mainly design detail procedures including UE attachment, service request and dedicated bearer activation/deactivation for our proposal network architecture. Finally, we establish a clear analytical mode of the application and system states to evaluate the signaling loads of new architecture. Simulation results show that our proposal network architecture with elaborated signaling procedures has much impact on the total signaling loads of system and could obviously decrease the signaling overhead compared with LTE.展开更多
