In Hong Kong, the ISO 9000 certification has been widely adopted and extended to service industries for the sole purpose of enhancing corporate image. However, complaints have been voiced by many certified organizations about increasing paperwork, non direct labour and excessive resources channelled into non core business. This paper is to propound the integrated management system, a single management system focusing on business purpose yet being flexible enough to integrate the requirements of various management standards such as the ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and future ISO 18000. The 32-bit extensible embedded processor RISC3200 originating from an RTL prototype core is intended for low-cost consumer multimedia products. In order to incorporate the reduced instruction set and the multimedia ex...The 32-bit extensible embedded processor RISC3200 originating from an RTL prototype core is intended for low-cost consumer multimedia products. In order to incorporate the reduced instruction set and the multimedia extension instruction set in a unifying pipeline, a scalable super-pipeline technique is adopted. Several other optimization techniques are proposed to boost the frequency and reduce the average CPI of the unifying pipeline. Based on a data flow graph (DFG) with delay information, the critical path of the pipeline stage can be located and shortened. This paper presents a distributed data bypass unit and a centralized pipeline control scheme for achieving lower CPI. Synthesis and simulation showed that the optimization techniques enable RISC3200 to operate at 200 MHz with an average CPI of 1.16. The core was integrated into a media SOC chip taped out in SMIC 0.18-micron technology. Preliminary testing result showed that the processor works well as we expected.展开更多

We propose an effective data structure called Round-robin Buddy Bloom Filters (RBBF) to detect duplicate elements in flows. A two-stage approximate algorithm based on RBBF which can be used for detecting service nodes from NetFlow data is also given and the perfonmnce of the algorithm is analyzed. In our case, the proposed algorithm uses about 1% memory of hash table with false positive error rate less than 5%. A proto-type system, which is compatible with both IPv4 and IPv6, using the proposed data structure and al-gorithm is introduced. Some pre-processing methods, contour smoothfollowing, linearization and extraction patterns of structural points, are introduced. If anyspecial object is selected to make a decision in a GIS map, the all information around it will beobtained. That is, we need to investigate similar object enterprises around selected region toanalyse whether it is necessary for establishing the object enterprise at that place. To furthernavigate GIS map, we need to move from one region to another. Each time a region is formed anddisplayed based on the user's focus. If a focus point of a map is selected, in terms of extractedobject mark image, a dynamic layout and navigation diagram is constructed. When the user changes thefocus (i. e. click a node in the navigation mode), a new sub-diagram is formed by dropping oldnodes and adding new nodes. The prototype system provides effective interfaces that support GISimage navigation, detailed local image/map viewing, and enterprise information browsing.展开更多
