Pancreatic tuberculosis (TB) is a relatively rare disease that can mimic carcinoma,lymphoma,cystic neoplasia,retroperitoneal tumors,pancreatitis or pseudocysts.Here,I report the case of a 31-year-old immigrant Burmese woman who exhibited epigastralgia,fever,weight loss and an epigastric mass.The patient was diagnosed with pancreatic TB and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome,and was treated with antituberculous drugs and percutaneous catheter drainage without a laparotomy.The clinical presentation,radiographic investigation and management of pancreatic TB are summarized in this paper to emphasize the importance of considering this rare disease in the differential diagnosis of pancreatic masses concomitant with human immunodeficiency virus infection.I also emphasize the need for both histopathological and microbiological diagnosis via fineneedle aspiration. 展开更多

With the Industry 4.0 era coming, modern chemical plants will be gradually transformed into smart factories, which sets higher requirements for fault detection and diagnosis(FDD) to enhance operation safety intelligence. In a typical chemical process, there are hundreds of process variables. Feature selection is a key to the efficiency and effectiveness of FDD. Even though artificial immune system has advantages in adaptation and independency on a large number of fault samples, antibody library construction used to be based on experience. It is not only time consuming, but also lack of scientific foundation in fault feature selection, which may deteriorate the FDD performance of the AIS. In this paper, a fault antibody feature selection optimization(FAFSO) algorithm is proposed based on genetic algorithm to optimize the fault antibody features and the antibody libraries' thresholds simultaneously. The performance of the proposed FAFSO algorithms is illustrated through the Tennessee Eastman benchmark problem. 展开更多

Mean success rates (MSR) ... This study compares the ability of different robust regression estimators to detect and classify outliers. Well-known estimators with high breakdown points were compared using simulated data. Mean success rates (MSR) were computed and used as comparison criteria. The results showed that the least median of squares (LMS) and least trimmed squares (LTS) were the most successful methods for data that included leverage points, masking and swamping effects or critical and concentrated outliers. We recommend using LMS and LTS as diagnostic tools to classify outliers, because they remain robust even when applied to models that are heavily contaminated or that have a complicated structure of outliers. 展开更多
