Toxic hepatitis in occupational exposure to solvents

The liver is the main organ responsible for the metabolism of drugs and toxic chemicals, and so is the primary target organ for many organic solvents. Work activities with hepatotoxins exposures are numerous and, moreover, organic solvents are used in various industrial processes. Organic solvents used in different industrial processes may be associated with hepatotoxicity. Several factors contribute to liver toxicity; among these are: species differences, nutritional condition, genetic factors, interaction with medications in use, alcohol abuse and interaction, and age. This review addresses the mechanisms of hepatotoxicity. The main pathogenic mechanisms responsible for functional and organic damage caused by solvents are: inflammation, dysfunction of cytochrome P450, mitochondrial dysfunction and oxidative stress. The health impact of exposure to solvents in the workplace remains an interesting and worrying question for professional health work.

A 150-year Isotopic Record of Lead Deposition in Yancheng Coastal Wetland,China

Radioactive markers are useful in dating lead （Pb） deposition patterns from industrialization in sedimentary archives. As a well-known natural reserve in the world, Yancheng coastal wetland in Jiangsu Province is one of areas most sensitive to global sea level change and is located in the most developed and polluted region of China. Two cores were collected in Yancheng wetland in October 2013 and dated using 210pb and 137Cs radiometric techniques. Sediments in both cores were sectioned into depth bands and examined systematically for dry bulk density, water content, magnetic susceptibility and grain-size. Multiple elements including Pb were also measured using inductively coupled plasma systems. Unsupported 21~Pb activities decreased with depth in both of the two cores, and 21~pb chronologies were established （covering 150 years） using the constant rate of supply （CRS） model. The measured Pb contents ranged from 14.97 mg/kg to 29.40 mg/kg with average values of 17.17-22.79 mg/kg, and the Pb fluxes ranged from 41.70 mg/（m2·yr） to 172.70 mg/（m2·yr） with averages of 95.59-123.41 mg/（m2·yr）. Temporal variations of Pb flux, enrichment factors and Pb isotopes show a gradual and continuous increase over time and clearly reflect increased emissions from anthropogenic activities in the region. The Pb isotopic compositions show that most of Pb deposition in Yancheng wetland is input from natural sources by water flows and has the same levels of Pb as in the surface sediment of the Yangtze River and the Pacific mineral aerosol. We also stress the anthropogenic Pb contribution in Yangcheng wetland sediment and the reason of our Pb isotopes not showing anthropogenic signature is likely the insta- bility of anthropogenic Pb in high Fe/Mn oxide conditions. Therefore, more attention should be paid to current local pollution problems, and society should take action to seek a balance between economic development and environmental protection.

Research on the Three Forms of Education Philosophy and Its Enlightenment

Educational philosophy exists in three forms： philosophy of professional education, philosophy of public education, and philosophy of personal education, which are interrelated with their own unique features. Enlightenment： this knowledge helps avoid misunderstanding of educational philosophy, which is not only a type of theoretical philosophy, but also a practical philosophy; teachers need to construct a proper philosophy of personal education of their own and enhance their professionalism and specialism while improving their humanistic quality and professional sentiment; great efforts should be made to create an educational community to exert the influence of philosophy of public education, and to promote the healthy development of educational activities.

Study on the Turnover and Job Mobility of the State-owned Enterprise Employees in China

This study focuses on such relevant factors that can influence employees＇ turnover decision in state-owned enterprise of China as the wages, work pressure, relevant industry working conditions, job duties related to moving to other industries, and management. This research shows that the employees correct their expectations to the current job and other jobs in the industry on the basis of their initial work experience, which finally affects their turnover decision. In addition, the study also reveals that the turnover caused by the difference of wages, and the management reasons can make the employees completely leave the state-owned enterprises.

Basic Courses System Construction Based on Qualities Cultivation

Basic courses are responsible for the cultivation of integrative qualities, which is a guarantee of the long-term sustainable development for the students.However, they are now challenged by the specialized courses in Chinese colleges.This essay first analyzes the current situation of the provision of basic courses in higher vocational colleges of China, then expounds the requirements of qualities cultivation of enterprises, and at last centers on the basic courses system construction in higher vocational colleges on orientation of qualities cultivation.

Research on Project-Driven Alliance between Colleges and Enterprise Teaching Mode and the Applications on Contemporary Vocational Education

In this paper, we conduct research on the project-driven alliance between the college and enterprise teaching mode and the applications on the contemporary vocational education. To achieve the aim of higher education popularization in our country, to vigorously develop vocational education is the important way. Higher vocational education for national and local economic development is the purpose of training the production, construction, management and service first line need to cultivate high quality personnel. Higher vocational education is the social demand as the primary guidance of employment education, cultivate the students should be a technology applied talents with skills. Our research proposes the novel guideline to deal with the mentioned issues which is applicable.

对职业学校素质教育认识误区的思考

素质教育是在80年代中期针对基础教育阶段存在的片面追求升学率的突出弊端而提出的,其对立面就是"应试教育",而职业教育亦在此时兴起和发展,较多人误认为职业教育就是素质教育的一部分,因而在职业教育内部对素质教育存在着模糊的片面的认识,甚至是错误的认识.素质教育普教论、职业学校"应试教育"熄灭论、素质教育技能训练替代论就是其中三个较为普遍和典型的错误观点,值得引起关注和深思.

A Case Study of the English Teachers' Burnout in a Medical University in China

Many College English teachers complain about work stress. To learn about the actual burnout situation and to seek intervention, a questionnaire survey and written interviews were conducted in a medical university in China. The results of the survey suggest that 29.73% of the participants experienced burnout. No significant differences were found in the aspects of the gender and educational background. However, older teachers experienced significantly more intense reduced personal accomplishment while more-experienced teachers reported significantly more intense depersonalization and reduced personal accomplishment. Similarly, participants with higher professional titles experienced much more intense depersonalization. Meanwhile, the results of the interviews indicate four causes of burnout： factors related to the job, students, management and teacher development. Internal and external moderations are categorized as the burnout reducers. As for intervention, teachers and the organization should work together to reduce the burnout syndrome.

A study on pertinent influencing factors on teachers’professional identity

In order to evaluate the present state of teachers’professional identity(TPI),177 teachers in primary and secondary schools in Zibo of Shandong Province of China were surveyed by a questionnaire designed by the authors.The results reveals:(1)high professional identity for the overall level of teachers;(2)significant difference in genders and titles of professional positions;(3)significant difference between primary and secondary school teachers;(4)significant difference in professional motivations and satisfaction degrees of salaries among teachers.

Dysbindin promotes progression of pancreatic Juctal adenocarcinoma via direct activation of PI3

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma （PDAC） represents a biggest challenge in clinic oncology due to its invasiveness and lack of tar- geted therapeutics. Our recent study showed that schizophrenia susceptibility factor dysbindin exhibited significant higher level in serum of PDAC patients. However, the functional relevance of dysbindin in PDAC is still unclear. Here, we show that dysbindin pro- motes tumor growth both in vitro and in vivo by accelerating the G1/S phase transition in cell cycle via PI3K/AKT signaling path- way. Mechanistically, dysbindin interacts with PI3K and stimulates the kinase activity of PI3K. Moreover, overexpression of dysbindin in PDAC is correlated with clinicopathological characteristics significantly, such as histological differentiation （P = 0.011） and tumor size （P = 0.007）. Kaplan-Meier survival curves show that patients with high dysbindin expression exhibit poorer overall survival, compared to those with low dysbindin expression （P 〈 0.001）. Multivariate analysis reveals that dysbindin is an independ- ent prognostic factor for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma （P = 0.001）. Thus, our findings reveal that dysbindin is a novel PI3K acti- vator and promotes PDAC progression via stimulation of PI3K/AKT. Dysbindin therefore represents a potential target for prognosis and therapy of PDAC.
