One new species in the genus Elaphropeza(Diptera:Empididae)from Chongqing,China

Elaphropeza is distributed worldwide with over 220 known species,of which 61 species were known to occur in China.Two species of Elaphropeza are reported from Chongqing for the first time.One species,Elaphropeza chongqingana sp.nov.,is described as new to science.A key to the species of Elaphropeza from Chongqing is presented.

A new species in the genus Diaonidia Takahashi(Hemiptera:Coccomorpha:Diaspididae)from China

A new armoured scale,Diaonidia litsea sp.nov.,is described and illustrated.It was found on Litsea monopetala(Roxb.)Pers.in Hainan,China.This new species can be easily distinguished by:the anterior spiracles each with 2–3 discoidal glands;pygidium with 2 pairs of well-developed lobes,and the area around mouthpart strongly sclerotized.An identification key to the adult females in the genus Diaonidia is also provided.

Two new species in the bamboo-feeding genus Tiaobeinia(Hemiptera:Cicadellidae:Deltocephalinae)from China

Two new species of Mukariini,Tiaobeinia coarseata sp.nov.from Shaanxi and Tiaobeinia yuani sp.nov.from Gansu,are described.Detailed morphological descriptions and illustrations of these new species are given.A checklist of all known species in this tribe from China is provided and a key is proposed for all species of Tiaobeinia.

A new species of the genus Lepidodens(Collembola:Entomobryidae)from Wuyanling National Nature Reserve,with description of larval chaetotaxy

The fifth species in the genus Lepidodens was reported from Wuyanling National Natural Reserve.Lepidodens taishunensis Lin,Wu&Pan sp.nov.is the second new species of this genus recorded from Zhejiang Province.This new species could be discriminated from others species in this genus by colour pattern,labial chaetae E and R ciliated,dorsal Abd.Ⅰ–Ⅲand centrodorsal Abd.Ⅳwith 2/4/7/8 macrochaetae.A detailed comparison among the five Lepidodens species,dorsal body chaetotaxy of larvae and key to species of the genus were provided.

Region-Aware Fashion Contrastive Learning for Unified Attribute Recognition and Composed Retrieval

Clothing attribute recognition has become an essential technology,which enables users to automatically identify the characteristics of clothes and search for clothing images with similar attributes.However,existing methods cannot recognize newly added attributes and may fail to capture region-level visual features.To address the aforementioned issues,a region-aware fashion contrastive language-image pre-training(RaF-CLIP)model was proposed.This model aligned cropped and segmented images with category and multiple fine-grained attribute texts,achieving the matching of fashion region and corresponding texts through contrastive learning.Clothing retrieval found suitable clothing based on the user-specified clothing categories and attributes,and to further improve the accuracy of retrieval,an attribute-guided composed network(AGCN)as an additional component on RaF-CLIP was introduced,specifically designed for composed image retrieval.This task aimed to modify the reference image based on textual expressions to retrieve the expected target.By adopting a transformer-based bidirectional attention and gating mechanism,it realized the fusion and selection of image features and attribute text features.Experimental results show that the proposed model achieves a mean precision of 0.6633 for attribute recognition tasks and a recall@10(recall@k is defined as the percentage of correct samples appearing in the top k retrieval results)of 39.18 for composed image retrieval task,satisfying user needs for freely searching for clothing through images and texts.

Two new species of Leptocimbex Semenov(Hymenoptera:Cimbicidae) from China

Two new species of Cimbicidae from Hunan and Zhejiang, China, Leptocimbex afoveata Wei Yan sp. nov. and Leptocimbex concavicarina Wei Yan sp. nov., are described. A key to species of Leptocimbex is provided.

Method of acquiring web features and its application in web search

Focusing on the problem that it is hard to utilize the web multi-fields information with various forms in large scale web search,a novel approach,which can automatically acquire features from web pages based on a set of well defined rules,is proposed.The features describe the contents of web pages from different aspects and they can be used to improve the ranking performance for web search.The acquired feature has the advantages of unified form and less noise,and can easily be used in web page relevance ranking.A special specs for judging the relevance between user queries and acquired features is also proposed.Experimental results show that the features acquired by the proposed approach and the feature relevance specs can significantly improve the relevance ranking performance for web search.

Ontology-based framework for personalized recommendation in digital libraries

To promote information service ability of digital libraries, a browsing and searching personalized recommendation framework based on the use of ontology is described, where the advantages of ontology are exploited in different parts of the retrieval cycle including query-based relevance measures, semantic user preference representation and automatic update, and personalized result ranking. Both the usage and information resources can be exploited to extract useful knowledge from the way users interact with a digital library. Through combination and mapping between the extracted knowledge and domain ontology, semantic content retrieval between queries and documents can be utilized. Furthermore, ontology-based conceptual vector of user preference can be applied in personalized recommendation feedback.

The Genus Stenochironomus Kieffer(Diptera:Chironomidae) with Three Newly Recorded Species from China

The genus Stenochironomus from China,including 10 species,is reviewed.Three species,S.koreanus Borkent,S.maculatus Borkent,and S.totifuscus Sublette are re-described and recorded from China for the first time.One species misidentification is corrected.A key to the males of Stenochironomus in China is given.

Phyllomyza Fallén(Diptera: Milichiidae) from Yunnan with description of four new species

The following four species in the genus Phyllomyza Fallén from Yunnan Province are described as new to science： Phyllomyza aureolusa sp. nov., Phyllomyza basilatusa sp. nov., Phyllomyza fuscusa sp. nov.and Phyllomyza leioipalpa sp. nov. A key to the known species of Phyllomyza from China is presented.

Query Expansion for Chinese Information Retrieval by Using a Decaying Co-occurrence Model

Query expansion with thesaurus is one of the useful techniques in modern information retrieval (IR). In this paper, a method of query expansion for Chinese IR by using a decaying co-occurrence model is proposed and realized. The model is an extension of the traditional co-occurrence model by adding a decaying factor that decreases the mutual information when the distance between the terms increases. Experimental results on TREC-9 collections show this query expansion method results in significant improvements over the IR without query expansion.

A New Species of Homidia (Collembola: Entomobryidae) from Wenzhou, with a Key to the Homidia Species from Zhejiang Province

Homidia hexaseta sp. nov. is reported from Wuyanling National Nature Reserve, Zhejiang Province. This new species is characterized by colour pattern, 6 sutural macrochaeta on dorsal head, smooth seta L1 on labial base, seta p4＋ present on Th. II, seta a2 present on medial Abd. III, seta B6 as macrochaeta on Abd. IV, setae Ae5-7 present on Abd. IV and subapical tooth of mucro obviously larger than apical one. A key to the Homidia species from Zhejiang Province is also provided.

The Preliminary Design and Implement of Plant Digital Information Retrieval System

[Objective] The aim was to set up a plant digital information retrieval system.[Method] Plant digital information retrieval system was designed by combining with Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 Enterprise Edition database management system and Structure Query Language.[Result] The system realized electronic management and retrieval of local plant information.The key words of retrieval included family,genus,formal name,Chinese name,Latin,morphological characteristics,habitat,collection people,collection places,and protect class and so on.[Conclusion] It provided reference for these problems of species identification and digital management of herbarium.

Paraboreochlus Thienemann, a newly recorded genus of Podonominae (Diptera: Chironomidae) from Oriental China

The genus Paraboreochlus Thienemarm is recorded from Oriental China for the first time. A detailed redescription of Paraboreochlus okinawanus Kobayshi ＆ Kuranishi is presented. A key to the males in this genus worldwide and a distribution map are given.

A new species and a new record of Leptocimbex Semenov(Hymenoptera: Cimbicidae) from China

A new species of Leptocimbex Semenov, Cimbicidae, Leptocimbex metallica Yan Wei sp. nov., is described from China. And Leptocimbex forsiusi Saini Thind, 1992 is recorded from China and redescribed for the first time based on new material insofar as the original description was not complete. A Leptocimbex forsiusi group is defined and a key to species of this group is also provided. The two known species of this group are only distributed in Himalayas region of Asia. Within China, these two species are recorded from the eastern part of Tibet. Leptocimbex forsiusi Saini Thind is also found in Uttar Pradesh in north India.

Dicrotendipes weiqiangensis sp. nov.(Diptera:Chironomidae) from Zhejiang, China

Dicrotendipes weiqiangensis sp. nov. from Xianju National Park, Zhejiang, China is described and nominated. This new species is morphologically most similar to D. nudus Qi, Lin Wang, 2012. It can be distinguished from the known species in the genus by R_（4＋5） without seta and the shape of the superior volsella, which is semi-triangular viewed dorsally and spherical viewed laterally. Diagnostic characteristics of the male imago（e.g., wing, hypopygium, anal point and superior volsella） are illustrated. A key to the males of Dicrotendipes in China is also provided.

A new species of the genus Cerceris(Hymenoptera: Crabronidae) from Guangxi, China

A new species, Cerceris abdominiglabra sp. nov., from Guangxi, China, is described. One species is reported from China for the first time： C. odontophora Schletterer. A key to the species of the Cerceris bupresticida group from China is provided. The type specimen of the new species is deposited in the Insect Collections of Zhejiang University.

A new species of the genus Indoquedius(Coleoptera:Staphylinidae: Staphylininae) from Sichuan, China

A new species, lndoquedius qiuae sp. nov. in the genus lndoquedius Blackwelder, is described and illustrated from Sichuan, China. The species is similar to I. nonparallelus Zhao ＆ Zhou from Yunnan Province, but differs in the aedeagus more narrowed at apical part of median lobe, paramere constricted drastically at the bottom, being more narrow and straight throughout whole length, sensory peg setae on underside less numerous, and deeper middle emargination of male sternite 9. It was found in Heizhugou Forest Park in Sichuan, China.

Description of a New Subspecies of the Genus Saurogobio Bleeker (1870)

The genus Saurogobio Bleeker (1870) is a group of small sized cyprinids. Saurogobio dabryi Bleeker (1871) is widely distributed in East Asia.On the basis of careful inspection of morphological and meristic characters of specimen collected from Chenghai Lake in Yunnan and the opening river systems including Pearl River,Minjiang River,Yangtze River,Liaohe River and Songhuajiang River,the Chenghai Lake population of Saurogobio dabryi is considered to represent a new subspecies, Saurogobio dabryi chenghaiensis . Saurogobio dabryi chenghaiensis is distinguished by the combination of following characters.Rostral cap developed,covering over upper lip,and lips with developed papillae.Body and caudal peduncle very slender,body depth 12 7%-15 0% of standard length(SL),caudal peduncle depth 5 5%-6 1% of SL and 31 8%-39 1% of caudal peduncle length.A longitudinal dark stripe present along the axis on each side of body and 6-11 stick shaped black spots (its widths being 25%-50% of its lengths respectively) occur along the stripe.Distance from pelvic fin origin to anus is more than 50% of pelvic fin length.The length of the shortest caudal fin ray is less than 50% that of the longest one.The new subspecies occurs only in Chenghai Lake,Yunnan,China.

First report of Ophiomyia lantanae(Froggatt)(Diptera:Agromyzidae) on the Chinese mainland, with a checklist of known species of Ophiomyia in China

The species Ophiomyia lantanae （Froggatt, 1919） was newly recorded in Yunnan Province with figures of characteristics and male genitalia. A key to 24 Chinese species and a checklist with host plants and distributions are presented.
