The concurrence and multipartite entanglement are calculated through 2-concurrence C and 4-concurrence C4. The concurrence C and multipartite entanglement G4 depend on different coupling strengths Ji and are decreased when the temperature T is increased. For a symmetric tetrahedron lattice, the concurrence C is symmetric about J1 when J~ is negative while the multipartite entanglement G4 is symmetric about J1 when J2 〈 2. For a regular tetrahedron lattice, the concurrence G of ground state is 1/3 for ferromagnetic case while G = 0 for antiferromagnetic ca.se. However, there is no multipartitc entanglement since C4=0 in a regular tetrahedron lattice. The external magnetic field 13 can increase the maximum value of the concurrence GB and induce two or three peaks in Cn. There is a peak in the multipartite entanglement G4 B when G4B is varied as a function of the temperature T. This peak is mainly induced by the magnetic field B.展开更多

The results show that the effects depend on the initial state. For the initial state |eeO〉, it is found that different time-independent couplings make the case without entanglement exhibit entanglement, and time-dependent couplings turn the irregular entanglement regions into regular one. It is shown that entanglement reveals dominant anti-correlation with the interacting energy for the stretch-localized state, while that exhibits dominantly positive correlation for the bend-localized state. The entanglement and the energy for the dislocalized states are discussed as well. Those are useful for molecular quantum computing and quantum information in high dimensional states.展开更多

It is found that the maximally entangled state of two beams (the probe and four-wave mixing beams) can be achieved in an appropriate condition. Moreover, we also show that the two entangled beams propagate with ultraslow group velocity in the semiconductor medium. This investigation can be used for achieving the entangled beams in the semiconductor solid-state medium, which is much more practical than that in an atomic medium because of its flexible design and the wide adjustable parameters.展开更多

This study engaged Public Building Supervisors in the assessment of site progress record keeping practices in Abuja. A simple structured questionnaire (which mainly assessed the nature and importance of records kept, reasons for keeping them; level of satisfaction with the current approach, challenges and practical ways of improving the practice) was administrated to a hundred of the supervisors, out of which seventy one was properly completed and returned. The results show that all five site progress documents (minutes of progress meetings, day-work sheets, photographs, weekly site records and personal site diaries) found in literature, are in use in Abuja, and have at least a high importance rating (i.e., relative importance index, 0.6 〈 RII 〈 0.8). Prominent among the reasons for keeping the records are: control of ongoing work (R11 = 0.83) data for estimating future works and terms of contract requirement (each with RII = 0.823). Though the present record keeping practices were largely assessed satisfactory, 95% of the Supervisors still yearned for improvement. The challenges to the current practice are consistent with those identified in literature and are: continuity consistency, legibility and accountability; in descending order of frequency of occurrence. Computerization, regular inspection of progress documents by assigned supervisors and in-house training of site staff are recommended for improving the record keeping practices.展开更多

It is found that suitable intensity-dependent coupling can enhance the entanglement transfer and make the atomic entanglement evolve periodically especially for the initially mixed atomic states. For SCS, the entanglement between the two modes is strengthened with the increase of the photon number difference (PND) between the two modes of the fields. When PND is odd, the entanglement between the atoms is less than that when PND is even.展开更多

One is deterministic, the other is probabilistic. In the deterministic scheme, the initial entangled state will be not destructed. In the proba-bilistic scheme, the initial unknown nonmaximal entangled state will be transformed into a maximal entangled one. Our schemes require two auxiliary particles and perform single-qubit measurements on them. Thus our schemes are simple and economic.展开更多
