A medium wave(MW)640×512(25μm)Mercury Cadmium Telluride(HgCdTe)polarimetric focal plane array(FPA)was demonstrated.The micro-polarizer array(MPA)has been carefully designed in terms of line grating structure optimization and crosstalk suppression.A monolithic fabrication process with low damage was explored,which was verified to be compatible well with HgCdTe devices.After monolithic integration of MPA,NETD<9.5 mK was still maintained.Furthermore,to figure out the underlying mechanism that dominat⁃ed the extinction ratio(ER),specialized MPA layouts were designed,and the crosstalk was experimentally vali⁃dated as the major source that impacted ER.By expanding opaque regions at pixel edges to 4μm,crosstalk rates from adjacent pixels could be effectively reduced to approximately 2%,and promising ERs ranging from 17.32 to 27.41 were implemented. 展开更多

We design and fabricate a 128 × 128 AlGaAs/GaAs quantum well infrared photodetector focal plane array (FPA). The device is achieved by metal organic chemical vapor deposition and GaAs integrated circuit processing technology. A test structure of the photodetector with a mesa size of 300μm × 300μm is also made in order to obtain the device parameters. The measured dark current density at 77K is 1.5 × 10^-3A/cm^2 with a bias voltage of 2V. The peak of the responsivity spectrum is at 8.4μm,with a cutoff wavelength of 9μm. The blackbody detectivity is shown to be 3.95 × 10^8 (cm · Hz^1/2)/W. The final FPA is flip-chip bonded on a CMOS read-out integrated circuit. The infrared thermal images of some targets at room temperature background are successfully demonstrated at 80K operating temperature with a ratio of dead pixels of less than 1%. 展开更多

Irradiated by infrared laser, the surface reducibility and adsorbability of Cu-Cr complex could be improved, owing to the interaction of photo-fragmentation and laser texturing. Analyzed by the binding energy spectra and the auger spectra, the valence states of chromium ion and copper ion were+3 and+1 after radiation respectively, which still had the reducibility to release electrons. In contrast with the near-infrared(NIR)1 064 nm and mid-infrared(MIR) 10 600 nm laser at the same average output power of 15 W, the reduced metal percentage in the Cu-Cr complex was obviously distinguished at the depth from nanometer to micron. After chemical plating, the average coating thickness and mean-square deviation of the NIR sample were 11.61 μm and 0.30 for copper layer, and 2.69 μm and 0.08 for nickel layer. The results were much better than those of the MIR sample. 展开更多

In order to reveal the temperature change in coal gas desorption process,the temperature variation in coal gas desorption process under different particle sizes is analyzed with infrared thermal imager.The infrared video signals obtained by the experiment are processed with SAT.Then the infrared radiation signals are processed by EMD with Hilbert–Huang and the infrared radiation noise is effectively removed.The research results show that the desorption process,with the change of the temperature,is an endothermic process.The coal absorbs heat when the gas is desorbed and the temperature drops.The coal body temperature drop range is obviously related to coal particle size.The smaller the particle size is,the bigger the temperature drop becomes.The temperature variation curves in the process of coal gas desorption under different particle sizes are fitted,and they comply with the exponential function.The research results lay the theoretical and experimental foundation for non-contact prediction on working face of coal and gas outburst with infrared thermal image technology. 展开更多

In order to study the evolution of the freezing fringe and final lenses of frost susceptible soils and advance the understanding of frost heave and mechanism of frost heave control, we used an open one-dimensional frost heave test system of infrared radiation technology, instead of a traditional thermistor method. Temperatures of the freezing fringe and segregated ice were measured in a non-contact mode. The results show that accurate and precise temperatures of ice segregation can be obtained by infrared thermal imaging systems. A self-developed inversion program inverted the temperature field of frozen soils. Based on our analysis of temperature variation in segregated ice and our study of the relationship between temperature and rate of ice segregation in cooling and warming processes during intermittent freezing, the mechanism of decreasing frost heave of frozen soils by controlling the growth of final lenses with an intermittent freezing mode, can be explained properly. 展开更多

Polarization dependent time-resolved infrared (TRIR) spectroscopy has proven to be a useful technique to study the structural dynamics in a photochemical process. The angular information of transient species is obtainable in this measurement, which makes it a valuable technique for the investigation of electron distribution, molecular structure, and conformational dynamics. In this review, we briefly introduce the principles and applications of polarization dependent TRIR spectroscopy. We mainly focused on the following topics: (i) an overview of TRIR spectroscopy, (ii) principles of TRIR spectroscopy and its advantages compared to the other ultrafast techniques, (iii) examples that use polarization dependent TRIR spectroscopy to probe a variety of cheinical and dynamical phenomena including protein conformational dynamics, excited state electron localization, and photoisomerization, (iv) the limitations and prospects of TRIR spectroscopy. 展开更多

The product channels and mechanisms of the C2HC12+O2 reaction are investigated by step-scan time-resolved Fourier transform infrared emission spectroscopy and the G3MP2// B3LYP/6-311G(d,p) level of electronic structure calculations. Vibrationally excited products of HCI, CO, and CO2 are observed in the IR emission spectra and the product vibrational state distribution are determined which shows that HCI and CO are vibrationally excited with the nascent average vibrational energy estimated to be 59.8 and 51.8 kJ/mol respectively. In combination with the G3MP2//B3LYP/6-311G(d,p) calculations, the reaction mechanisms have been characterized and the energetically favorable reaction pathways have been suggested. 展开更多

New Environmental Friendly Yellow Ceramic Pigments of the Type (Fe^ⅢM^Ⅴ)-TiO2

The family of Cr(Ⅲ) and Fe(Ⅲ)-doped rutile pigments of nominal composition (M^ⅢM^V)xTi1-2xO2, with M^Ⅲ = Cr(Ⅲ) or Fe(Ⅲ) and M'(V) = Sb, Nb, Ta, with x = 0.03, 0.15 and 0.25 were investigated as ceramic pigments covering the yellow-ochre-brown palette. The formulations containing Fe(Ⅲ) are novel compositions not included in the commercial rutile pigments. The materials were characterized by XRD (X-ray diffraction) analysis and FTIR (Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy). The transition temperature from anatase-to-rutile was estimated by the evolution of the spectral patterns. This crystal phase transition is responsible of the color formation. A higher distortion of TiO6 octahedra is observed in the case of (FeSb) containing cells which contribute to the enhancement of the light absorption. The coloring performance of all the formulations were evaluated by enameling the mixtures containing 5% pigments and commercial frits representative of single and double firing industrial processes. The chromatic values obtained are in the yellow to brown domain of the chromatic plot, depending on the composition of the pigment-frit batch. In the case of the Fe-glazes, and particularly the combination (FeNb), the chromatic values are close to the best yellow tinting. This new FeNb-rutile pigment could be a more benign substitute of Cr-yellow pigments. The homogeneity of the enamels was confirmed by SEM (scanning electron microscopy)-EDAX (energy dispersive X-ray analysis) microscopy. 展开更多

The amphiphilic copolymer poly(hydroxyethyl methacrylate-co-tert-butyl methacrylate) [P(HEMA-co-tBMA)] was synthesized by activators regenerated by electron transfer atom transfer radical polymerization (ARGET A... The amphiphilic copolymer poly(hydroxyethyl methacrylate-co-tert-butyl methacrylate) [P(HEMA-co-tBMA)] was synthesized by activators regenerated by electron transfer atom transfer radical polymerization (ARGET ATRP), with the synthesis process monitored by in-situ infrared spectroscopy (IR). The molecular weight, chem- ical structure and characteristics of the copolymer were determined by 1H NMR, gas chromatography and gel permeation chromatography. The influences of various parameters on the living polymerization were explored. The molecular weight of the copolymer with narrow molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn 〈 1.50) increases ap- proximately linearly with the monomer conversion, indicating a good control of polymerization. In the reaction temperature range from 50 ℃ to 90 ℃, the monomer conversion is higher at 60 ℃. The tBMA conversion rate decreases gradually with the increase of tBMA content, while the HEMA conversion is hardly affected by HEMA content. Weak polar solvent is more favorable to the polymerization compared to polar solvent. The molar ratio of reducing agent to catalyst has significant effect on the polymerization and increasing the amount of reducing agent will accelerate the reaction rate but causes wider molecular weight distribution. It is indicated that in-situ IR monitoring contributes to a more in-depth understanding of the mechanism of methacrylate monomer copolymerization. 展开更多

The effect of a novel active nucleating agent(TBC8-eb) on the isothermal crystallization of poly(L-lactic acid) (PLLA) was studied by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) . The analysis on kinetics demonstrates that TBC8-eb can not only accelerate the crystallization rate but also transform most of the original spherulite crystals of PLLA into sheaf-like crystals. Furthermore,the free energy of folding(σe) of PLLA and PLLA with TBC8-eb is 0.15 and 0.06 J·m-2,respectively,which suggests that the addition of TBC8-eb favors the regular folding of molecule chains in the crystallization of PLLA,improv-ing its crystallization rate. The FTIR results show that TBC8-eb can accelerate the conformational ordering of PLLA in the isothermal crystallization. The conformational ordering of PLLA nucleated with TBC8-eb begins with the interchain interaction of CH3,and then a short helix emerges where a couple of CH3 groups interact. 展开更多
