<ABSTRACT> Thepaperputsforwardtwowaysofthinkingonstratifiedsamplingestima-tion,thelongitudinalautoregressionandmulti-compoundestimationmethod.Thelongitudinalauto-regressionmethodprobesintoestimateofpopulationmeanbasedonthelinearregressionrelationshipbetweenthemeansofthestrataunderinvestigationandancillarycharacteristics.Themulti-compoundestimationmethodestimatesthemeansofthestrataseparatelybydifferentmethodsandthepopulationparameteristakenfromtheseestimates.Thepaperfurtheranalysesconditionsfortheapplicationofthesemethods;estimatesandtheirerrorterm;ad-vantagesanddisadvantagesandotherproblemsofthetwomethods.
