T...This paper describes an innovative, genetic algorithm based inverse model of nonlinear transducer. In the inverse modeling, using a genetic algorithm, the unknown coefficients of the model are estimated accurately. The simulation results indicate that this technique provides greater flexibility and suitability than the existing methods. It is very easy to modify the nonlinear transducer on line. Thus the method improves the transducer's accuracy. With the help of genetic algorithm (GA), the model coefficients' training are less likely to be trapped in local minima than traditional gradient based search algorithms.展开更多

In addition to the traditional LQ cost function, another free form cost function was introduced to express the physical need plainly and optimize weights of LQ cost function using the search algorithms. As an instance, DLQR was applied in determining the control input in the front steering angle compensation control (FSAC) model for heavy duty vehicles. The brief simulations show that DLQR is powerful enough to specify the engineering requirements correctly and balance many factors effectively. The concept and applicable field of LQR are expanded by DLQR to optimize the system with a free form cost function.展开更多

However, the 3D forward modeling algorithm can process the data in the frequency domain, which is very suitable for parallel computation. With the advantage of MPI and based on an analysis of the flow of the 3D magnetotelluric serial forward algorithm, we suggest the idea of parallel computation and apply it. Three theoretical models are tested and the execution efficiency is compared in different situations. The results indicate that the parallel 3D forward modeling computation is correct and the efficiency is greatly improved. This method is suitable for large size geophysical computations.展开更多

In this paper, the model algorithmic control (MAC) strategy is extended to nonlinear processes using Hammerstein model that consists of a static nonlinear polynomial function followed in series by a linear impulse response dynamic element. A new nonlinear Hammerstein MAC algorithm (named NLH-MAC) is presented in detail. The simulation control results of a pH neutralization process show that NLH-MAC gives better control performance than linear MAC and the commonly used industrial nonlinear propotional plus integral plus derivative (PID) controller. Further simulation experiment demonstrates that NLH-MAC not only gives good control response, but also possesses good stability and robustness even with large modeling errors.展开更多

Normally, inertial and odometry sensors are used to complement GPS measures in an attempt to provide a means for maintaining vehicle odometry during GPS outage. Nonetheless, recent experiments have demonstrated that computer vision can also be used as a valuable source to provide what can be denoted as visual odometry. For this purpose, vehicle motion can be estimated using a non-linear, photogrametric approach based on RAndom SAmple Consensus (RANSAC). The results prove that the detection and selection of relevant feature points is a crucial factor in the global performance of the visual odometry algorithm. The key issues for further improvement are discussed in this letter.展开更多

In this paper, with the RBF neural network’s ability of identifying complex nonlinear systems, a neural network identification model of MCFC stack is developed based on the sampled input-output data. Also, a novel online fuzzy control procedure for the temperature of MCFC stack is developed based on the fuzzy genetic algorithm (FGA). Parameters and rules of the fuzzy controller are optimized. With the neural network identification model, simulation of MCFC stack control is carried out. Validity of the model and the superior performance of the fuzzy controller are demonstrated.展开更多
