肺癌细胞学类型与病因有密切的关系,分析细胞学类型的变动趋势,有助于病因学的探讨。本文对广州市1980~1989年间死于肺癌的1093例肺癌患者的细胞学类型的变动趋势进行了分析。结果表明:男性有腺癌比例上升,鳞癌下降的... 肺癌细胞学类型与病因有密切的关系,分析细胞学类型的变动趋势,有助于病因学的探讨。本文对广州市1980~1989年间死于肺癌的1093例肺癌患者的细胞学类型的变动趋势进行了分析。结果表明:男性有腺癌比例上升,鳞癌下降的趋势。女性则相反,表现为鳞癌上升腺癌下降。男女肺癌死者中吸烟者的比例在整个研究过程均没有明显变化,表明肺癌细胞学类型的变动可能是由吸烟以外的其他因素所引起。女性接触环境化学致癌物机会增多,可能是女性鳞癌比例上升、腺癌下降的原因。男性腺癌比例上升的原因,有待于进一步探讨。 展开更多

对高原602双胚苗的细胞学进行了研究,有3种类型:2n-2n、2n-3n和2n-n,出现频率分别为0.16%、0.02%和0.02%。在2n-2n型里,又发现了形态上的差异,即2n(顶芒)-2n(长芒)。对单倍体育种和三倍体的起源进行了讨论。

AIM: To investigate the inhibitory effect of specialized human telomerase antisense oligodeoxyribonucleotides on the growth of well (MKN-28), moderately (SGC-7901)and poorly (MKN-45) differentiated gastric cancer cell lines under specific conditions and its inhibition mechanism,and to observe the correlation between the growth inhibition ratio and the tumor pathologic subtype of gastric cancer cells.METHODS: Telomerase activity in three gastric cancer cell lines of variant tumor pathologic subtype was determined by modified TRAP assay before and after the specialized human telomerase antisense oligodeoxyribonucleotides were dealt with under specific conditions. Effect of antisense oligomer under specific conditions of the growth and viability of gastric cancer cell lines was explored by using trypan blue dye exclusion assay, and cell apoptosis was detected by cell morphology observation, flow cytometry and TUNEL assay.RESULTS: Telomerase activity was detected in well,moderately and poorly differentiated gastric cancer cell lines (the quantification expression of telomerase activity was 43.7TPG, 56.5TPG, 76.7TPG, respectively).Telomerase activity was controlled to 30.2TPG, 36.3TPG and 35.2TPG for MKN-28, SGC-7901 and MKN-45 cell lines respectively after treatment with human telomerase antisense oligomers at the concentration of 5 μmol/L, and was entirely inhibited at 10 μmol/L, against the template region of telomerase RNA component, whereas no inhibition effect was detected in missense oligomers (P<0.05). After treatment with antisense oligomers at different concentrations under specific conditions for 96 h, significant growth inhibition effects were found in MKN-45 and SGC-7901gastric cancer cell lines (the inhibition ratio was 40.89%and 71.28%), but not in MKN-28 cell lines (15.86%). The ratio of inactive SGC-7901 cells increased according to the prolongation of treatment from 48 to 96 h. Missense oligomers could not lead to the same effect (P<0.05).Apoptosis of SGC-7901 and MKN-45 cells was detected not only by morphology and TUNEL assay but also by flow cytometry. The apoptotic rate reached 33.56% for SGC-7901 cells and 44.75% for MKN-45 cells.CONCLUSION: The viability and proliferation of gastric cancer cells can be inhibited by antisense telomerase oligomers. The growth inhibition of gastric cancer cells is correlated with concentration, time and sequence specialty of antisense oligomers. The inhibition mechanism of antisense human telomerase oligomers depends not only on the sequence specialty but also on the biological characteristics of gastric cancer cell lines. 展开更多

Automatic reading procedures in colon cells biopsies allow a faster and precise reading of microscopic biopsies. These procedures implement automatic image segmentation in order to classify cell types as cancerous or noncancerous. The authors have developed a new approach aiming to detect colon cancer cells derived from the "Snake" method but using a progressive division of the dimensions of the image to achieve rapid segmentation. The aim of the present paper was to classify different cancerous cell types based on nine morphological parameters and on probabilistic neural network. Three types of cells were used to assess the efficiency of our classifications models, including BH (Benign Hyperplasia), IN (Intraepithelial Neoplasia) that is a precursor state for cancer, and Ca (Carcinoma) that corresponds to abnormal tissue proliferation (cancer). Results showed that among the nine parameters used to classify cells, only three morphologic parameters (area, Xor convex and solidity) were found to be effective in distinguishing the three types of cells. HPC can present a diagnostic challenge because of its indeterminate clinical, radiological, and pathological features. HPC generally presents in adulthood and is equally frequent in both sexes. HPC can arise in any site in the body as a slowly growing and painless mass. The precise cell type origin of HPC is uncertain. One third of HPCs occur in the head and neck areas. Exceptional cases of hemangioblastoma arising outside the head and neck areas have been reported, but little is known about their clinicopathologic and immunohistochemical features. The brain of the domestic pig(Sus scrofa domesticus)has drawn considerable attention due to its high similarities to that of humans.However,the cellular compositions of the pig brain(PB)remain elusive.Here we investigated the single-nucleus transcriptomic profiles of five regions of the PB(frontal lobe,parietal lobe,temporal lobe,occipital lobe,and hypothalamus)and identified 21 cell subpopulations.The cross-species comparison of mouse and pig hypothalamus revealed the shared and specific gene expression patterns at the single-cell resolution.Furthermore,we identified cell types and molecular pathways closely associated with neurological disorders,bridging the gap between gene mutations and pathogenesis.We reported,to our knowledge,the first single-cell atlas of domestic pig cerebral cortex and hypothalamus combined with a comprehensive analysis across species,providing extensive resources for future research regarding neural science,evolutionary developmental biology,and regenerative medicine. 展开更多
