Ninety farmers were randomly selected by multi stage random sampling technique. Semi-structured questionnaire was used to elicit data for the study. Descriptive statistics and multiple regression model were used in achieving the objectives. Results indicated that 74.44% of respondents were males with a mean age of 45 years. Majority (76.67%) were married with large house hold sizes. Majority (93.33%) received different level of education, with sources of credit from friends/relatives (30.00%), cooperative societies (43.33%), money lenders (14.44%), and cumulatively from formal sources ((12.22%). The result of the multiple regression analysis revealed age, household size, membership of cooperative societies, marital status, education level, farm size and amount of loan repaid at varied signs and levels as significant predictors of amount of agricultural credit acquired by farmers. The most common reason given among the respondents (55.89%) of those who misappropriated acquired agricultural credit, was meeting nonfood needs of the household. The farmers encountered problems of high interest rate (78.89%), lack of collateral (75.56%), long distance from source of credit (50.00%), poor harvest (37.78%), moratorium (33.33%) and delay in loan approval/disbursement (44.44%) as constraints to acquire credit. The study recommends that the state government should pass policies aimed at providing free educative seminars to all illiterate farmers to teach them possible ways and methods of acquiring credit. To ensure mass attendance to such seminars, little incentives should be given to farmer participants.展开更多

In addition to the selection of monitored indicators, we included other indicators from the social sphere, which are funded by mandatory national public expenditure budgets and which are expected to have a positive development in terms of improving the demographic structure of the country--the unemployment rate and the number of live births.展开更多

To achieve a sustained development of economy, we must require the taxes which are closely related to economy meet the requirements of its own development. That is tax receipts raised by government meeting functional needs as much as possible, while reducing the facts that will damage the future needs and development of economy. Therefore, we need to analyze various factors that affect revenue. If we make a very good understanding on how structure impacting on tax revenues, that will help us to use policy tools tax making impacts on revenue and optimize the structure of the tax. For this theme, many domestic scholars have done correlation research, and their research paper provides a good reference, but we believe their research can be further refined. Through theoretical analysis, we can select appropriate indicators letting tax revenue to be explained variable. Each possible influencing factor of tax revenues establish measurement model for explaining variable using stepwise regression models, and make a rigorous statistical test on the model. On the base of fully proving the effectiveness of the model, we can make relevant economic analysis.展开更多

The development of these industries has given a positive impulse to the development of the whole economy. In this analysis, it is used multiple regressions as one of the most important statistical methods. In the first part of this paper, it shows the connection among the growth of female employment, growth in frozen food expenditure and growth of GDP in United Kingdom. In the second part of paper, it shows the relationship among the growth of labor force participation of women, growth of number of kindergarten and growth of GDP in Hungary. To proof these relationships, it used a multiple regression model. This statistical model was tested by using the T schedule which showed that the model in both the analyses is correct. At the end of the paper, it presents that employment rate and GDP behaves in the same way in European Union. These analyses show that it is necessary to continue to strengthen gender equality if the policy makers want to achieve even greater economic growth. The issue of gender equality is a very important factor in creating employment policy, and statisticians should be more involved in process of employment policy and gender equality展开更多

Outside the impact on the sector of energy production, the rising oil price has consequences on inflationary pressures and a deteriorating fiscal position of Burkina Faso. In this context, studying the impact of rising oil prices on the economy, especially the cost of living of its population has a great interest because although many studies have attempted to link 〈〈oil prices〉~ and 〈〈cost of living~, very few have focused on the specific case of Burkina Faso. This allows us to make our contribution to this construction literature. This contribution will consist to highlight the relation between changes in oil prices and the cost of living in Burkina Faso. Also to be reached, we will find the best indicator to reflect the cost of living in Burkina Faso, identify the suitable econometric model for estimating the correlation and verify the existence of the relation between oil prices and the cost of living. For a better approach to this study, we used a VAR (Vector Auto-Regressive) model. Also, we will use documentary research that will make an assessment on the existing in terms of theoretical debates around the theme descriptive statistics that will help to introduce and describe the variables used in the study, and econometric analysis will analyze and estimate the parameters of our objective function using Eviews.展开更多

This paper uses social network analysis to analyze spatiotemporal differences of venture capital in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration for the period 2005–2015. A gravity model and panel data regression model are used to reveal the influencing factors on spatiotemporal differences in venture capital in the region. This study finds that there is a certain cyclical fluctuation and uneven differentiation in the venture capital network in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration in terms of total investment, and that the three centers of venture capital(Beijing, Shijiazhuang and Tangshan) have a stimulatory effect on surrounding cities; flows of venture capital between cities display certain networking rules, but they are slow to develop and strongly centripetal; there is a strong positive correlation between levels of information infrastructure development and economic development and venture capital investment; and places with relatively underdeveloped financial environments and service industries are less able to apply the fruits of innovation and entrepreneurship and to attract funds. This study can act as a reference for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration in building a world-class super urban agglomeration with the best innovation capabilities in China.展开更多
