The vulnerability of its karst eco-environment seriously threate...Guizhou Province is one of the least developed areas with the largest number of counties in poverty and the widest coverage of karst landscape in China. The vulnerability of its karst eco-environment seriously threatens the survival of local residents and the development of local economy. Rapid population growth results in higher demand of various resources, which leads to more intensive development activities. For example, the blindfolded development on steep slopes has caused rock desertification of local rare soil in this karst area. It has induced a vicious circle in the poverty -> population growth -> ecosystem degradation and so on. About 3.13 x 10(6) people belong to the absolute impoverished population in Guizhou Province and most of them are living in rock-desertification areas. The essential reasons for destitution are the atrocious eco-environment and the huge population stress. Degradation of mountain ecosystems in southwestern China has continued at unprecedented speed and scale in recent decades. It is necessary to control population growth strictly and prevent further expansion of rock-desertification in order to develop local economy and better living conditions for local people. The only way to ensure a sustainable, stable and harmonious development of human, nature and economy is to restore a good condition of eco-environment and resolve the conflicts between human and land use.展开更多

In order to identify and check the adaptability of new flue-cured tobacco variety of Guiyan 2 to soil, cultivation and curing conditions and its utility value in production in Qianxinan Prefecture ecological areas, a ...In order to identify and check the adaptability of new flue-cured tobacco variety of Guiyan 2 to soil, cultivation and curing conditions and its utility value in production in Qianxinan Prefecture ecological areas, a comparative trail with the leading cultivar Yunyan 97 as the control（CK） was made according to the regulations of local characteristic and high-quality tobacco production. The experimental results showed that Guiyan 2 had moderate growth duration after transplant, strong field growing power, good uniformity and good agronomic traits; moreover, its yield,production value and rate of first-class tobacco were respectively higher than these of CK by 349.2 kg/hm^2, 4746.3 yuan/hm^2 and 6%, while its average price and grade index were respectively lower than these of CK by 1.13 yuan/kg and 0.06;Guiyan 2 also had the advantages of appropriate intrinsic chemical component content and proportion, as well as better curing characteristics, and it got generally better evaluation from tobacco growers, indicating that Guiyan 2 had a better potential to generalize.展开更多

Using grey correlation method to analyze th...The exploitation of mineral resources plays an important role in promoting national economic development. Mining is an essential component of China's industrial economy. Using grey correlation method to analyze the correlative effect of mineral resources exploitation to relevant industries, using national income method to calculate the pulling effect of mineral resources exploitation to economic growth and using graphs as well as tables to analyze the income distribution effect, the article obtains active economic effect of mineral resources development in Bijie, Guizhou. Moreover, from the view of resources-cored effect, the article analyzes negative effects such as single industrial structure brought by mineral resource development. Through analysis, we find that mineral resources exploitation to some extent brings active effects including gross domestic product growth, local financial revenue growth and relevant industries development; however, its negative effects should not be ignored. The negative effect can be lightened by diversifying industrial structure and prolonging industrial chain.展开更多
