These algorithms are based on the direct relationships between POC and the blue-to-green band ratios of spectral remotely sensed reflectance, Rrs(λB)/Rrs(555). The best error statistics among the considered formulas were produced using the power function POC (rag/ m3)=262.173 [Rrs(443)/Rrs(555)]^-0.940. This formula resulted in a small mean bias of approximately -2.52%, a normalized root mean square error of 31.1%, and a determination coefficient of 0.91. This regional empirical equation is different to the results of similar studies in other oceanic regions. Our validation results suggest that our regional empirical formula performs better than the global algorithm, in the South China Sea. The feasibility of this band ratio algorithm is primarily due to the relationship between POC and the green-to- blue ratio of the particle absorption coefficient. Colored dissolved organic matter can be an important source of noise in the band ratio formula. Finally, we applied the empirical algorithm to investigate POC changes in the southwest of Luzon Strait.展开更多

According to the experimental true stress-true strain data, the constitutive relationships were comparatively studied based on the Arrhenius-type model, Johnson-Cook(JC) model and artificial neural network(ANN), respectively. Furthermore, the predictability of the developed models was evaluated by calculating the correlation coefficient(R) and mean absolute relative error(AARE). The results indicate that the flow stress behavior of 20 Mn NiM o low carbon alloy is significantly influenced by the strain rate and deformation temperature. Compared with the Arrhenius-type model and Johnson-Cook(JC) model, the ANN model is more efficient and has much higher accuracy in describing the flow stress behavior during hot compressing deformation for 20 Mn Ni Mo low carbon alloy.展开更多

To eliminate the effects of measurement error on parameter estimation, a corrected empirical likelihood method is proposed to make statistical inference for a class of generalized linear measurement error models based on the moment identities of the corrected score function. The asymptotic distribution of the empirical log-likelihood ratio for the regression parameter is proved to be a Chi-squared distribution under some regularity conditions. The corresponding maximum empirical likelihood estimator of the regression parameter π is derived, and the asymptotic normality is shown. Furthermore, we consider the construction of the confidence intervals for one component of the regression parameter by using the partial profile empirical likelihood. Simulation studies are conducted to assess the finite sample performance. A real data set from the ACTG 175 study is used for illustrating the proposed method.展开更多

A constrained empirical likelihood confidence region for a parameter β0 in this model is proposed, which is constructed by combining the score function corresponding to the weighted squared orthogonal distance based on inverse probability with a constrained region of β0. It is shown that the empirical log-likelihood ratio at the true parameter converges to the standard chi-square distribution. Simulations show that the coverage rate of the proposed confidence region is closer to the nominal level and the length of confidence interval is narrower than those of the normal approximation of inverse probability weighted adjusted least square estimator in most cases. A real example is studied and the result supports the theory and simulation's conclusion.展开更多
