The structures were examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The effect of Fe on the glass-forming ability was studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The minor-addition of Fe obviously extends the supercooled liquid region ΔTx. The plastic strain of the Cu44Zr48Al7Fe bulk metallic glass is about 1.5%. The microstructures were examined by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). It is found that when 1%-2% Fe (mole fraction) were introduced into the CuZrAl alloy matrix, nanoscale phase separation occurs in the as-prepared Cu44Zr48Al7Fe bulk metallic glass. 展开更多

In this paper, a dual-throat supersonic separation device with porous wall has been proposed to solve the starting problem of supersonic separator, and the feasibility of the proposed device has been tested numerically and experimentally. Its flow characteristics have been investigated and the effect of some important parameters includ-ing nozzle pressure ratio(RNP), inlet temperature and swirl intensity were examined. In the device, the supersonic flow state and strong centrifugal acceleration of 240000g can be obtained, which are necessary for the condensation and separation of water vapor. The supersonic region in the device enlarged and the shock wave shifted downstream along with the increasing RNP. The separation performance was improved with the increasing RNP and the inlet temperature. The best separation performance in this study was obtained with ΔTd? 28 K. 展开更多

Blind Source Separation based on Time-Frequency Morphological Characteristics for Rigid Acoustic Scattering by Underwater Objects 被引量:1

Separation of the components of rigid acoustic scattering by underwater objects is essential in obtaining the structural characteristics of such objects. To overcome the problem of rigid structures appearing to have the same spectral structure in the time domain, time-frequency Blind Source Separation (BSS) can be used in combination with image morphology to separate the rigid scattering components of different objects. Based on a highlight model, the separation of the rigid scattering structure of objects with time-frequency distribution is deduced. Using a morphological filter, different characteristics in a Wigner-Ville Distribution (WVD) observed for single auto term and cross terms can be simplified to remove any cross-term interference. By selecting time and frequency points of the auto terms signal, the accuracy of BSS can be improved. A simulation experimental has been used to analyze the feasibility of the new method, with changing the pulse width of the transmitted signal, the relative amplitude and the time delay parameter. And simulation results show that the new method can not only separate rigid scattering components, but can also separate the components when elastic scattering and rigid scattering exist at the same time. Experimental results confirm that the new method can be used in separating the rigid scattering structure of underwater objects. 展开更多

It is found that GdxBal-xFeO3-σas(0.025 _〈 x _〈 0.1) exhibits the cubic perovskite structure. Among GdxBal-xFeO3-σas (0.025 -〈 x -〈 0.1 ), the GdxBal-xFeO3-σas (GBF2.5) membrane shows the outstanding phase structure stability and the highest oxygen permeation, which can reach 1.44 ml. cm- 2. rain- 1 at 950 ℃ under air/He oxygen partial pressure gradient. The GBF2.5 membrane was successfully operated for more than 100 h at 800 ℃ and the oxygen permeation flux through the membrane is 0.62 ml. cm- 2. rain- 1. After 100 h oxygen permeation experiment at 800℃, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDXS) demonstrate that the GBF2.5 exhibits phase structure stability even at intermediate temoerature. 展开更多

A herringbone water-sediment separation structure(hereinafter referred to as "herringbone structure") has been shown to be effective in separating coarse inorganic debris; however, less is known regarding the large wood(LW) filtration effect in this structure. This paper presents preliminary research on the wood filtration effect of the herringbone structure based on physical model tests.The results show that the herringbone structure exhibited effective performance in large wood size segregation, with a 100% component filtration rate for LW that diameter(D) larger than ribbed beam opening width(a). The total filtration rate also exceeded 80% when the Fraud number(Fr) is larger than 2.64 and increased with the increase of Fr. After exceeding Frmax, total filtration rate would be decreased due to overflow. Beside flow condition,structure parameters influence significantly on LW filtration rate. We attempt to explain the filtration process via particle contact trajectory and particle movement trajectory. The inclined angle of ribbed beam(γ) contributed the most variation to the filtration rate via influencing the coincidence with particle contact trajectory and particle movement trajectory. The high sensitivity coefficient of ribbed beam(θ) under relatively low Fr conditions implies remarkable influences on LW filtration effects by causing clogging problem. The ribbed beam opening width(a) together with LW diameter(D) influenced the size segregation performance. 展开更多

In order to study the influence of parameters on durability of marine concrete structures, the parameter's sensitivity analysis was studied in this paper. With the Fick's 2nd law of diffusion and the deterministic sensitivity analysis method (DSA), the sensitivity factors of apparent surface chloride content, apparent chloride diffusion coefficient and its time dependent attenuation factor were analyzed. The results of the analysis show that the impact of design variables on concrete durability was different. The values of sensitivity factor of chloride diffusion coefficient and its time dependent attenuation factor were higher than others. Relative less error in chloride diffusion coefficient and its time dependent attenuation coefficient induces a bigger error in concrete durability design and life prediction. According to probability sensitivity analysis (PSA), the influence of mean value and variance of concrete durability design variables on the durability failure probability was studied. The results of the study provide quantitative measures of the importance of concrete durability design and life prediction variables. It was concluded that the chloride diffusion coefficient and its time dependent attenuation factor have more influence on the reliability of marine concrete structural durability. In durability design and life prediction of marine concrete structures, it was very important to reduce the measure and statistic error of durability design variables. 展开更多

A new butyrolactone derivative,namely butyrolactone Ⅷ (1),and six known butyrolactones (2-7) were separated from the ethyl acetate (EtOAc) extract of the fermentation broth of a fungus,Aspergillus terreus MXH-23.The chemical structures of these metabolites were identified by analyzing their nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and mass spectrometry (MS).Known butyrolactone derivatives contain an α,β-unsaturated γ-lactone ring with α-hydroxyl and y-benzyl,and butyrolactone Ⅷ (1) was the first butyrolactones contains α-benzyl and γ-hydroxyl on α,β-unsaturated lactone ring.All of the butyrolactone derivatives were tested for their anti-influenza (H 1N 1) effects.Derivatives 4 and 7 showed moderate antiviral activities while the newly-identified,derivative 1,did not. 展开更多

A detailed investigation of a thermodynamic process in a structured packing distillation column is of great impor- tance in prediction of process efficiency. In order to keep the simplicity of an equilibrium stage model and the accu- racy of a non-equilibrium stage model, a hybrid model is developed to predict the structured packing column in cryogenic air separation. A general solution process for the equilibrium stage model is developed to solve the set of equations of the hybrid model, in which a separation efficiency function is introduced to obtain the resulting tri-diagonal matrix and its solution by the Thomas algorithm. As an example, the algorithm is applied to analyze an upper column of a cryogenic air separation plant with the capacity of 17000 m3·h-1. Rigorous simulations are conducted using Aspen RATEFRAC module to validate the approach. The temperature and composition distributions are in a good agreement with the two methods. The effects of inlet/outlet position and flow rate on the temperature and composition distributions in the column are analyzed. The results demonstrate that the hybrid model and the solution algorithms are effective in analvzin~ the distillation process for a a cryogenic structured packing column. 展开更多

Tailoring tire pore structure and surface chemistry of graphene-based laminates is essentially important for their applications as separation membranes. Usually, pure graphene oxide (GO) and completely reduced GO (rGO) membranes suffer florn low water permeance because of the lack of pristine graphitic sp2 domains and very small interlayer spacing, respectively. In this work, we studied the influence of reduction degree on the structure and separation pertornrance of rGO membranes, tt was found that weak reduction retains the good dispersion and hydrophilicity of GO nanosheets. More importantly, it increases the number of pristine graphitic sp2 domains in rGO nanosheets while keeping the large interlayer spacing of the GO membranes in most regions at the same time. The resultant mernbranes show a high water permeance of 56.3 L m^-2 h^ -1 bar^ -1, which is about 4 times and over 10^4 times larger tban those of the GO and completely reduced rGO membranes, respectively, and high rejection over 95700 for various dyes. Furthermore, they show better structure stability and more superior separation perfor- mance than GO membranes in acid and alkali environments. 展开更多

Fast migration and efficient spatial separation of photogenerated charges in photocatalytic materials are indispensable to efficient solar water splitting reactions.Here,we construct a three-phase heterostructure of CdS/PbTiO_(3)/TiO_(2)by selectively depositing CdS and TiO_(2)at oppositely poled crystal facets of PbTiO_(3)using single-domain ferroelectric PbTiO_(3).The heterostructure has matching band edge alignments and strong interfacial connections at different moieties.The heterostructure combines the interfacial electrical and ferroelectric fields because of their peculiar microstructures,which provide a strong driving force throughout the whole bulk to separate photogenerated charges.Almost two orders of magnitude improvement of visible-light-driven photocatalytic H_(2) production has been realized in CdS/PbTiO_(3)/TiO_(2)compared with bare PbTiO_(3)/TiO_(2),showing the efficiency of charge separation in the heterostructure.The idea of combining ferroelectrics with potential light capture semiconductor provides a paradigm to accurately design charge migration pathways,bringing a step closer to efficient solar water splitting. 展开更多
