The recent advances in wireless communication technology enable high-speed vehicles to download data from roadside units(RSUs). However, the data download volume of individual vehicle is rather restricted due to high ...The recent advances in wireless communication technology enable high-speed vehicles to download data from roadside units(RSUs). However, the data download volume of individual vehicle is rather restricted due to high mobility and limited transmission range of vehicles, bringing users poor performance. To address this issue, we exploit the combination of both clustering and carry-and-forward schemes in this paper. Our scheme coordinates the cooperation of multiple infrastructures, cluster formation in the same direction and data forwarding of reverse vehicles to facilitate the target vehicle to download large-size content in dark areas. The process of data dissemination and achievable data download volume are then derived and analyzed theoretically. Finally, we conduct extensive simulations to verify the performance of the proposed scheme. Results show significant benefits of the proposed scheme in terms of increasing data download volume and throughput.展开更多

Methodology for the reliability analysis of hydraulic gravity dam is the key technology in current hydropower construction.Reliability analysis for the dynamical dam safety should be divided into two phases:failure mo...Methodology for the reliability analysis of hydraulic gravity dam is the key technology in current hydropower construction.Reliability analysis for the dynamical dam safety should be divided into two phases:failure mode identification and the calculation of the failure probability.Both of them are studied based on the mathematical statistics and structure reliability theory considering two kinds of uncertainty characters(earthquake variability and material randomness).Firstly,failure mode identification method is established based on the dynamical limit state system and verified through example of Koyna Dam so that the statistical law of progressive failure process in dam body are revealed; Secondly,for the calculation of the failure probability,mathematical model and formula are established according to the characteristics of gravity dam,which include three levels,that is element failure,path failure and system failure.A case study is presented to show the practical application of theoretical method and results of these methods.展开更多
The ethoxycarbonyl isothiocyanate has been investigated by using supersonic jet Fourier transform microwave spectroscopy.Two sets of rotational spectra belonging to conformers TCC(with the backbone of C-C-O-C,C-O-C=O,...The ethoxycarbonyl isothiocyanate has been investigated by using supersonic jet Fourier transform microwave spectroscopy.Two sets of rotational spectra belonging to conformers TCC(with the backbone of C-C-O-C,C-O-C=O,and O-C(=O)-NCS being trans,cis,and cis arranged,respectively)and GCC(gauche,cis,and cis arrangement of the C-C-O-C,C-O-C=O,and O-C(=O)-NCS)have been measured and assigned.The measurements of13C,15N and34S mono-substituted species of the two conformers have also been performed.The comprehensive rotational spectroscopic investigations provide accurate values of rotational constants and14N quadrupole coupling constants,which lead to structural determinations of the two conformers of ethoxycarbonyl isothiocyanate.For conformer TCC,the values of Pcckeep constant upon isotopic substitution,indicating that the heavy atoms of TCC are effectively located in the ab plane.展开更多

Tsai-Hill failure criterion as a limiting state function to analyze structural reliability of a composite laminate and estimation theory in order to estimate statistical parameters of effective stress were utilized to construct probability box. Finally, we used the Monte Carlo simulation and FERUM software to calculate the upper and lower bounds of probability of failure.展开更多

An example of the real RC building is used to demonstrate differences in the dynamic response results in the cal...Three types of the soil-structure interaction are used for structure analysis loaded by seismic effects. An example of the real RC building is used to demonstrate differences in the dynamic response results in the calculation of internal forces and displacements. Variant three options of the soil models were used as a building supporting structure. In the case of soil model A, the soil was modelled by using of equivalent stiffness values, stemming from the theory of a rigid circular disc on an elastic homogeneous half-space. Non-uniformly modelled vertical stiffness of the soil according to the Boussinesq model was used for model B. Both models A and B are characterised by the "averaged" soil model on the bases of spring constants. Model C was used for the soil better corresponding to its actual composition by the Winkler-Pasternak theory. Model C, where the actual layered soil is considered, is modelled more accurately than for the "averaged" soil of models A and B. The dynamic response of models operating with "averaged" values of rigid and soft soil layers is markedly shifted to the conservative smaller values of internal forces. The building response tbr model C in dynamic displacements is significantly higher than for the both models A and B.展开更多
