Location of the heavily loaded building on the ground of the small load capacity requires application of the appropriate foundation structure. The required foundation system is most often deep, it is expensive and its cost increases significantly when the building is located in earthquake area or in mining damage sector. The proposed structural system of the combined foundation makes possible to design and to construct a very stable and relative inexpensive foundation structure, which can obtain an extremely large horizontal surface and which can be placed not deeply beneath the terrain level. It can be a very solid support structure for a tall building placed on very weak subsoil and at the same time located in seismic area. This system can be applied not only for new buildings but it can be used for the existing buildings and moreover for straighten of the inclined objects. Due to special arrangement of component parts the combined foundation possesses inherent features of a vibration damper, what is highly desirable if buildings have to be located in earthquake areas. When the aboveground storeys structure has some similar patterns with structural form of the combined foundation then the structural system of the whole building obtains coherent structural characteristics and it is called the combined structural system of the tall building. Suitable application of this system makes possible to design high-rise buildings having interesting and unique architectonic forms, what is presented on a selected example. 展开更多

Artificial bone with porous structure is crucial for tissue scaffold and clinic implants.Scaffold provides structure support for cells and guides tissues regeneration for final tissue structure.A computational aided process of porous bone modeling was developed which described the design and fabrication of tissue scaffolds by considering intricate architecture,porosity and pore size.To simulate intricate bone structure,different constructive units were presented.In modeling process,bone contour was gotten from computed tomography(CT)images and was divided into two levels.Each level was represented by relatively reconstructive process.Pore size distribution was controlled by using mesh generation.The whole hexahedral mesh was reduced by unit structure,when a 3D mesh with various hexahedral elements was provided.The simulation results show that constructive structure of porous scaffold can meet the needs of clinic implants in accurate and controlled way. 展开更多

Facile construction of quasi 1D trimanganese tetraoxide nanostructures via soft templating

Self-assembly of nanocrystals can not only lead to a better understanding of inter-particle acting force, but also enable rational building of complex and functional materials for future nanodevices. Here by utilizing polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) as the as capping and structure directing agents, hierarchical Mn304 architectures involving coil-like nanorings, hexagonal nanoframes, and nanodisks are conveniently synthesized by a one-pot solution method. The sophisticated assemblies are proven to be me- diated by the PVP soft templates formed at varied concentrations. The driving forces of self-assembled complex nanostructures and the unique role of PVP concentration are discussed. Magnetic properties of the as assembled Mn3O4 rings are also studied by a SQUID system, which shows the typical side effect of Curie temperature. 展开更多
