In the present paper, the author report results from a numerical simulation of atmospheric turbulent convection in order to verify this theory. The simulation was based on a shell model which was deduced from simplified atmospheric convection equations. The numerical results agreed well with the theory prediction of scaling law from the first order to the eighth order. They also showed that the prediction of this theory was better than that given by the Kolmogorov's theory in 1941, log-normal, and β model theories.展开更多

The reason is that varying densities and complicated structu...Clustering data with varying densities and complicated structures is important,while many existing clustering algorithms face difficulties for this problem. The reason is that varying densities and complicated structure make single algorithms perform badly for different parts of data. More intensive parts are assumed to have more information probably,an algorithm clustering from high density part is proposed,which begins from a tiny distance to find the highest density-connected partition and form corresponding super cores,then distance is iteratively increased by a global heuristic method to cluster parts with different densities. Mean of silhouette coefficient indicates the cluster performance. Denoising function is implemented to eliminate influence of noise and outliers. Many challenging experiments indicate that the algorithm has good performance on data with widely varying densities and extremely complex structures. It decides the optimal number of clusters automatically.Background knowledge is not needed and parameters tuning is easy. It is robust against noise and outliers.展开更多

The paper considers the main causes of the difficulties of zootechnics in Friulian mountains (Italy), evaluating different approaches. From the methodological point of view, there were analyzed the different aspects...The paper considers the main causes of the difficulties of zootechnics in Friulian mountains (Italy), evaluating different approaches. From the methodological point of view, there were analyzed the different aspects that causes the present crisis in this territorial contest and that, contextually, at the same time, prevent its recovery. The procedural pathway followed these steps: analysis, synthesis, comparison, deduction and induction. The results showed that there are technical, social, environmental, political and infra-structural aspects that cause this stated economical emergency for the compartment. A "new rural paradigm", in particular, the multi-functionality of the farm seems to be the road to the progress of mountain regions. Unfortunately, there are no definitive universal answers, hut individual solutions that should be investigated and calibrated for specific local resources.展开更多

The ZIF-67 dodecahedrons were prepared as first self-template to synthesize the Co-LDH holl...TheCo3O4 nanosheet-built hollow dodecahedrons(Co3 O4 NSHDs) were fabricated via a controllable twostep self-templated method. The ZIF-67 dodecahedrons were prepared as first self-template to synthesize the Co-LDH hollow dodecahedrons, which were further used as self-template to fabricateCo3O4 NSHDs by a controlled calcination.The proposed two-step self-templated method not only brings hollow structures without auxiliary template, ultrathin nanosheet, ultrafine grains, and large surface areas, but also allows the easy and uniform surface modification, as demonstrated of PdO modification. TheCo3O4 NSHDs with above features could show multifunctional applications, such as sensing and catalysis. Experiments suggest that theCo3O4 NSHDs show good gas sensing performances to trimethylamine at a low operating temperature(100 oC). They can be further enhanced by PdO surface modification, which have a low detection limit(250 ppb) and a short response time(4.5 s).In addition, theCo3O4 NSHDs exhibited excellent oxygen evolution reaction performances with a low overpotential of359 mV, low Tafel slope of 80.7 mV dec-1 and low electrochemical impedance, which was superior to those for theCo3O4 NCs obtained by directly calcinating the ZIF-67 templates,Ni foam and most common metal oxides catalysts.展开更多
A static and dynamic collaborative optimization method for materials and structure with uniform periodic microstructure is presented.The sensitivity formulae of hierarchical optimization,i.e.,material design,structure...A static and dynamic collaborative optimization method for materials and structure with uniform periodic microstructure is presented.The sensitivity formulae of hierarchical optimization,i.e.,material design,structure design and integrated design for porous metals,are given.On the base of the hierarchical optimization model,numerical experiments of an MBB beam and a cantilever one were carried out.Based on porous metals bearing multi-functionality,the differences and applicability of hierarchical optimization are discussed in the structure loading field.It is concluded that structure design is mainly oriented to structure efficiency,material design is mainly oriented to multi-functionality,and integrated design is oriented to structure efficiency and multi-functionality.This work provides some useful ideas for the selection of porous metals design method.展开更多
