To solve the load balancing problem in a triplet-based hierarchical interconnection network(THIN) system, a dynamic load balancing (DLB)algorithm--THINDLBA, which adopts multicast tree (MT)technology to improve ...To solve the load balancing problem in a triplet-based hierarchical interconnection network(THIN) system, a dynamic load balancing (DLB)algorithm--THINDLBA, which adopts multicast tree (MT)technology to improve the efficiency of interchanging load information, is presented. To support the algorithm, a complete set of DLB messages and a schema of maintaining DLB information in each processing node are designed. The load migration request messages from the heavily loaded node (HLN)are spread along an MT whose root is the HLN. And the lightly loaded nodes(LLNs) covered by the MT are the candidate destinations of load migration; the load information interchanged between the LLNs and the HLN can be transmitted along the MT. So the HLN can migrate excess loads out as many as possible during a one time execution of the THINDLBA, and its load state can be improved as quickly as possible. To avoid wrongly transmitted or redundant DLB messages due to MT overlapping, the MT construction is restricted in the design of the THINDLBA. Through experiments, the effectiveness of four DLB algorithms are compared, and the results show that the THINDLBA can effectively decrease the time costs of THIN systems in dealing with large scale computeintensive tasks more than others.展开更多

So the key to solving this problem is that we need to find a kind of traffic model to predict the traffic load that users need. According to the predicted traffic load to allocate bandwidth to each base station dynamically.But the traffic consumption behavior of a single base station is random, it is difficult to predict[ 1 ]. For this reason, we based on reality that, when the user moves, it may get traffic load from different base stations, therefore, there will have some kind of relationship between those base stations.We use this relationship to establish a kind of Spatial Collaborative Network.consequently, we make use of stability algorithm to divided those base station cluster into different communities, According to the traffic load usage rules which these communities indicated to us, we get a traffic model.At the same time, we studied bow to use this traffic model in the future networks to dynamically allocate bandwidth resources, then we propose a new kind of EPS architecture based on SDN, on this platform, we can deploy our strategy through it's programmable interface.Finally, we designed an experiment to test the performance of our dynamic strategy, and the result shows that our method enables bandwidth utilization has been greatly improved.展开更多

Demand volumes and shipping sizes were simulated as part of a new conceptual model using a disc...This paper investigated the interaction effects between inventory and transportation strategies in the logistics network. Demand volumes and shipping sizes were simulated as part of a new conceptual model using a discrete event simulation by minimizing the total logistics cost in the supply chain. The experiments indicate that the full truckload scenario leads to cost efficiency and the larger demand size results in smaller cost per unit based on economies of scale. Considering the interaction effects, demand size has a greater impact on cost reduction than shipping size. The total logistics cost in the system is dependent on replenishment rate and flow rates from the higher to the lower echelon. High inventory cost is the result of a fast replenishment rate and frequent orders, while shipping cost is dependent on the flow rates in a process and total travelling time or total travelling distance. Shipping size also has an impact on the level of service and the total cost along with effective order variability.展开更多

In this paper, a logic network model is constructed to investigate the complicated regulation mechanism of shoot genes of Arabidopsis Thaliana in response to stimuli. The dynamics of the complicated logic network is analyzed, discussed, and simulated. The simulation results show that the logic network of the active genes of shoot eventually evolves into eleven attractors under the stimuli, including five 1-periodic and six 2-periodic attractors. Our work provides valuable reference and guidance for biologists to understand and explain Arabidopsis' response to external stimuli by experiments.展开更多

It has been extensively studied from an ethnomethodological point of view and empirically reprodu...The emergence of mutual knowledge is a major cognitive mechanism for the robustness of complex socio-technical systems. It has been extensively studied from an ethnomethodological point of view and empirically reproduced by multi-agent simulations. Whilst such simulations have been used to design real work settings the underlying theoretical grounding for the process is vague. The aim of this paper is to investigate whether the emergence of mutual knowledge(MK) in a group of colocated individuals can be explained as a percolation phenomenon. The followed methodology consists in coupling agent-based simulation with dynamic networks analysis to study information propagation phenomena: After using an agent-based simulation the authors generated and then analyzed its traces as networks where agents met and exchanged knowledge. Deep analysis of the resulting networks clearly shows that the emergence of MK is comparable to a percolation process. The authors specifically focus on how changes at the microscopic level in the proposed agent based simulator affect percolation and robustness. These results therefore provide theoretical basis for the analysis of social organizations.展开更多

This paper designed a scalable Network Identity(NID) scheme for the Internet users, proposed NIDTGA(Network Identity and Time Generated Address), an IPv6 address generation algorithm embedded NID and time information, then designed and implemented an IPv6 address generation and traceback system based on NIDTGA. The design of NIDTGA, which reflects the length, time and owner attributes of the IP address, can be a good support to ADN(Address Driven Network). At the same time, by embedding the key elements of user identity and time in the IPv6 address,and by taking into account both the traceability and privacy, NIDTGA can provide a technical basis for the establishment of the network trust mechanism, and achieve the traceability of security event.展开更多
