Creation of the universe was a leap from absolute entropy to substance and the vital world. According to our hypothesis, the goal of creating the universe and humans was to create enjoyment and pleasure by depressing the level of entropy. Current definitions do not adequately express the nature and origin of happiness or suffering, nor do they suggest how to treat, relieve, and prevent the torment of a healthy or sick individual. Our team developed and proposed the entropy theory as a new definition for human happiness and suffering. Entropy is a lack of order or a state of chaos. Human happiness may be defined as the complex of positive sensations, perceptions, emotions, or thoughts. These arise due to the depressed level of entropy of the individual's organism, empathy for others, or germane surroundings in the past, present, or in the future. Human suffering is the complex of negative sensations, perceptions, emotions, or thoughts that arise due to an increased level of entropy of a person's organism, empathy for others, or germane surroundings in the past, present, or future. A source of happiness and pleasure denotes depression of entropy in humans. Therefore, in order to treat suffering, one should ensure that the entropy level is reduced by complementing it with that which is missing. 展开更多

The dynamical characters of a theoretical anti-tumor model under immune surveillance subjected to a pure multiplicative noise are investigated. The effects of pure multiplicative noise on the stationary probability distribution (SPD) and the mean first passage time (MFPT) are analysed based on the approximate Fokker-Planck equation of the system in detail. For the anti-tumor model, with the multiplieative noise intensity D increasing, the tumor population move towards to extinction and the extinction rate can be enhanced. Numerical simulations are carried out to check the approximate theoretical results. Reasonably good agreement is obtained. 展开更多

The SUSAN Edge based Scale Invariant Feature (SESIF) algorithm based 3D objects visual tracking is achieved in three stages: the first frame stage,tracking stage,and recovering stage. An SESIF based objects recognition algorithm is proposed to find initial location at both the first frame stage and recovering stage. An SESIF and Lie group based visual tracking algorithm is used to track 3D object. Experiments verify the algorithm's robustness. The mitochondrial cytochrome b gene was isolated from the caudal fin of Oryzias latipes and PCR was undertaken to determine phylogeny. The nucleotide sequence of the complete cytochrome b gene including the 5' and 3' ends was 1,143 base pairs (bp) and 1,137 bp encoding 380 and 378 amino acids in the K-11 strain and HS strain, respectively. In addition, higher substitutions both in base and amino acid residues occurred more frequently between the former control (Hd-rR strain) and HS strains than the K-I 1 strain. Approximately similar values in polymorphism, as assessed by restriction endonuclease digestion, were detected when utilizing 20 different enzymes. Therefore, the evolutionary processes were unlikely to involve common ancestors, especially between the K-11 strain and HS strains, in O. latipes populations in Japan. The sequence had been deposited in GenBank Data Base under accession number AB480878 (K-I I strain) and AB480879 (HS strain). 展开更多

We investigated the vibration of a cleaning robot for hotline insulators, providing a flexible elevating link with a rigid moving link at the end. A Lagrange dynamic model is established based on the assumed mode method. An approach is proposed to reduce residual vibration of the flexible elevating link by optimizing acceleration of rigid link using the Pontryagin maximum principle (PMP). A numerical solution to the proposed optimization problem including a two-point boundary-value problem (2PBVP) is developed. Residual vibration of the flexible elevating link of the optimal acceleration profile is compared with that of the optimal trapezoid velocity profile. The result shows that the proposed trajectory optimization method can reduce the residual vibration more effectively. 展开更多

This is an extended version of the same titled paper presented at the 21st CIRED. It discusses a new technique for identification and location of defective insulator strings in power lines based on the analysis of high frequency signals generated by corona effect. Damaged insulator strings may lead to loss of insulation and hence to the corona effect, in other words, to partial discharges. These partial discharges can be detected by a system composed of a capacitive coupling device (region between the phase and the metal body of a current transformer), a data acquisition board and a computer. Analyzing the waveform of these partial discharges through a neural network based software, it is possible to identify and locate the defective insulator string. This paper discusses how this software analysis works and why its technique is suitable for this application. Hence the results of key tests performed along the development are discussed, pointing out the main factors that affect their performance. 展开更多
